*looks up*

That's a lot of misspelled "ies" in the title. After looking at this page on Katcom:

http://katcom.squidkitty.org/Mysteries.html

I was wondering if anyone else here has any unsolved ponderings, theories or conspiracy theories concerning any events or characters in YnM. Even for me there were a lot of moments that made me go urgh??? and then attempt to connect the dots.

Using any examples from the link is fine.

Thoughts anyone??

I remember when I started reading volume 6 I was expecting to find out why Hisoka was always so sleepy but it never was explained. Then in the beginning of volume 7 Hisoka talked about how he kept having dreams of Muraki raping him and I thought 'Oh, maybe its in this arc when I'll find out what's wrong with him.' And again, it was never explained why Hisoka was having those dreams. I thought it had to do something with his connection to Muraki but I'll never know.

Another thing that confused me was why Watari and Tsuzuki let Hisoka go off by himself in Kyoto when they all suspected that it was Muraki behind the killings. Also in the beginning of volume 7 I was astonished by Tsuzuki's callous attitude toward Hisoka. Since when did Tsuzuki need Tatsumi to tell him to take care of his partner. When there's something wrong with Hisoka, Tsuzuki's always the first (and sometimes the only) one to notice.

He doesn't, but that doesn't mean that Tatsumi can't worry either. (And remember, Hisoka hates and resents being treated like a child)

Yeah, I know that Tatsumi cares but I just didn't like how Tsuzuki seemed to resent being told to look after his partner. He just seemed so out of character in that scene.

I think he resented being told to, not necessarily the looking after. But that's just me ^^;

His obsession with power really does stand in the way. But not only his power, but his past.

He's not used to people taking care of him- left alone in his basement and mistreated by his family. You don't get used to a soft, loving touch for another few millenia, considering Hisoka's psychological scars. Being told what's good for him and being taken care of is like a thorn in his side, I think. Irritating, and rather painful once you realize it's there.

Telling Hisoka what to do, when to do it.. it's more of an annoyance. It demeans him, and demotes him to a lesser position, I think. Which just.. pisses the hell off of Hisoka, being as power-hungry as possible.

I had the same instant reaction, not that I was upset, but I kinda quirked an eyebrow, like, hur?

Regardless of how that's read, that's what that scene initially looks like with the way it's worded. Especially the, "your not my dog",

Though of course we all establish that Hisoka doesn't like being treated like a kid. He practically tells us throughout the manga.

Anyway any other mysteries, you can actually answer or give your view on the link above as well

Actually I myself am curious as to why Hisoka had that creepy, she's mmMMMMYy mother thing going on in book 6. It's weird considering that it's supposed to reflect the characters true feelings. I was kinda like. Urgh??

Are you referring to the book arc? I was confused as well about the book world reflecting the character's true feelings. I really would have liked some more Luka/Hisoka interaction. We don't know how bookHisoka felt about Luka/Tsuzuki except that he didn't want his father to remarry but that doesn't mean he hated Luka. So now I'm left wondering what is Hisoka's true feelings.

Oh yeah that's true. Since she would have represented Tsuzuki it would have been interesting to see Hisoka's real reactions to her. Though that book is mainly about Tatsumi Tsuzuki so maybe Matsushita didn't really focus on anyone elses true feelings and kinda had them in there as supporting chracters moving the story along. I will always be baffled by that though, Hisoka's strong determination for he's father not to remarry, I never understood the true feelings part of that, it was creepy, and sorry it was more like, HhhhhHHhhheeeee's my mothers, wasn't it. Oh yeah talking about the count, they did get the whole Tatsumi ruling the roost thing down didn't they. But a few things were a little, urgh?

I thought Tsuzuki and Ruka would have made a cute couple though. Especially when she comforted Tsuzuki, I was like HA own medicine. Taste it's objective flavour! awww. (Maybe I should add that to my closet *adding*)
