so. who's seen a couple of good movies around lately?

I HAVE!! I HAVE! and let me tell you. WHEEEEEEE.

Ratatouille:

it was adorable, at best. Collette was my favorite, definitely. It made me LAUGH, yes, but it wasn't AMAZING, or anything. XP

Transformers:

IT ROCKED. I've been watching Transformers since I was like.. eight. And I adored it. But this movie.

GOD, this movie. amazing. absofrickenlutely amazing.

However, Optimus Prime got a SWORD, instead of his battle axe. WTF. XP

And Megatron's gun was TINY. TINY, MAN. THAT IS PITIFUL. AND WHO NAMES HOT ROD, TO BUMBLEBEE?? I MEAN..

HOT ROD -> HOT SHOT -> BUMBLEBEE??? NO. THAT DOESN'T WORK OUT, PLZKTHNXBYE.

Harry Potter : Order of the Pheonix

Out of all the Harry Potter books, the fifth one is my favorite. (Prisoner of Azkaban comes REALLY close, then the Chamber of Secrets. XD)

and this movie was amazing. omgwtfbbq. 8D!!

but the little touches of them Apparating with white-and-black was dumb. And Luna was awesome. XDD

so! What movies have YOU seen lately? :DDD

I haven't seen any movies later (theaters are freakin expensive in Japan), but I will be seeing the new Harry Potter in the theaters which will be coming out July 20. I'm looking forward to seeing it.

I saw I now pronounce you Chuck and Larry just the other day xD

I thought it was a really nice gay pride movie and it starred Adam Sandler! What could be better n.n

It was pretty funny considering it was two people pretending to be gay, sleeping in a bed together and freaking out neighbors. n.n It's a good movie is all.

I'll probably go see the Simpsons movie with my friends tomorrow. *was invited, yayness* I haven't watch the Simpsons in a couple of years because I just stopped liking their new material. But it's the movie so... and... Homer-ier.... so... >.> "D'oh!"

I saw Harry Potter and the Order of the Phonix today. It was the first time I've been to the theater since moving to Japan and um, well, I never had quite an experience going to the movies like I had going to a Japanese theater. Everyone there were very quiet and no one laughed even at the funny moments and no one even got up to use the restrooms or to get food. Everyone stayed in their seats even as the credits are rolling! I had students telling me that no one laughs during the movie because it's considered rude and that they tend to remain in their seats till the credits end, but I don't think I really believed it.

I saw "The Last Mimsy" not too long ago. It was a very sweet, touching movie wth a touch of funny to it. It was pretty well thought out and the main actors, despite their youth, were quite brilliant. The only problem that I saw was the end, which seemed rushed and sudden. There was all this action and then all of a sudden, it just stopped. Overall, I give it a 4 out of 5. though, that's just my opinion :p

Some movies are like that. They're terrific and going at an even pace until they reach the ending and then everything's rushed. Some books are like that too. I haven't heard of The Last Mimsy. Is it a new movie or did you see it on video? I've been out of the loop with movies for so long.

You know, when I was on the plane coming back to Japan these terrible movies were shown. I saw Lucky You and despite Drew Barrymore and Eric Bana being in it I found it boring. There was another movie that I can't remember the title of, but it wasn't something I wanted to see on an airplane. You think that the airplane companies would have common sense and put on movies that doesn't have a load of violence in it. Personally, I don't want to see any movie that has people dying in any sort of vechile. I'm on a plane, for God's sake

OMG, wow. Scary.

Also, I'd find being in a quiet cinema at a comedy movie really, really, really scary. O.o I mean if anyone knows me they know that I will laugh at even the most meanial things, and I'd be like, wtf. Even the thought is scary.

Um I've been watching a few bollywood films as of late which are good, I don't remember the titles but I watched one about a criminal, who's like sorta a good guy, but like the criminal head of the town, but he's respectable father doesn't know this so he and the towns people build a false hospital and pretend he's a doctor, I'm totally killing the plot but it was a good funny movie. I watched a few more, I watched chinatown, but though the plot was kinda dry the songs and music video's kicked ass. (sometimes I just go to the extra's and watch the songs cos I like them)

Watched kung fu hustle which had my ribs against the skin of my chest in laughter. And 23 which stars Jim Carrey and I thought it was a DAMN good film.
