*big sigh* So according to the Japan Times Online the Nova president Nozomu Sahashi went AWOL. No one has heard from him. I'm guessing that he's avoiding having to face the big mess that Nova's in. I worked for Nova when I was living in Japan and I have yet to be paid for the last month that I worked. Of course I was, and still am, very angry about it. Things must be really bad if the president can't be found. Now that I found this out, I'm wondering if I should give up all hope of getting paid.

I'm sorry that you're sick! It must be pretty aweful. As for the president, well apparently he's been going through his lawyer with making public statements. He's claiming that he hasn't done anything wrong, but if you ever seen pics of his office, then it's kinda hard to believe he's innocent.

Innocent from what, though? Sorry, I'm in the dark here.... but interested.

And yeah, I imagine it sucks not getting paid. >_>

The president was using company money to upgrade his office to include a bed, a private tea cermony room, etc which cost millions of yen. God only knows what else he was using the money for. Instead of paying the employees their wages, he was using the money for his own wants.

They should send you a bed or tea set... something that your money was spent on. You should get to go in there and pick something you want. heh

I read that a company is now sponsering Nova but they only reopened about 30 schools. Still, the government has a lot of people who need to be given their unpaid wages.
