Finally a Ruka post. Ruka is of course Tsuzuki's sister, and there are several hints she had a big impact on he's life. What are the forums thoughts, and also I want to ask myself, is it definte that Ruka is Tsuzuki's biological sister, because I always have the strangest unnecessary feeling that she isn't.

I haven't thought about the possiblity of her not being his sister. I do think that they had a deep bond that goes beyond sibling love. In book two Tsuzuki mentioned that there was someone in life that he was inseparable with and even went as far as to say it was as if they shared the same soul but in the end all he could do was watch that person die. In book 4, in the St. Micheal's arc, he mentioned having a forbidden love. I think both times he meant Ruka.

On another note, I think the way her name is pronouced is Luka. It would make sense for Viz to spell her name that way if that was how it sounded. One of my students name is Rui but its pronouced with an L, like Lui. I could be wrong of course but from what I understand when there is an r then the sound could be pronounced either way and it would correct.

Yeah I'm already aware of that, they have the same with Reno (FF7) and other characters I come across, I'm just to lazy to stick to accuracy, and Ruka is the spelling I see most on my travels so I'm happy with either one. I would love to hear more information explicity giving details about he's sister and the rest of he's family, I mean, very little is known.

I still don't know why I have that feeling though, it must only be me.

I assumed that Tsuzuki went insane after Ruka died. I wonder if he accidently killed her when he was 18. I love to know more about Tsuzuki's family. Were his parents around when he was growing up or did Ruka raise him.

Personally, I think that Ruka died of something beyond Tsuzuki's power, which just gives him another reason why to hate it, I think. Bcz even if he HAD powers, even if he didn't know where they came from, demonic or no- if he couldn't save the person who was his sister, his mother, his father, then I think that Tsuzuki wouldn't gone insane out of guilt, which is apparent enough in the current (?!) Tsuzuki today.

I think that his parents had died early on, as the only thing that Tsuzuki speaks of is how his SISTER raised him. And yet, I find myself thinking that if Hisoka had a sister who loved him, he would be much like Tsuzuki, even if he himself knew what his powers were. If Tsuzuki was imprisoned, I suppose it would lend a huge hand into understanding how he 'clicked' with Touda so well, too.

Yeah, I also got the impression that it was just Tsuzuki and Ruka growing up together. Afterall, she was the one who taught him how to cook and dance. And considering that I believe that there was something between Tsuzuki and Ruka that ran deeper than sibling love, I just don't see the parents being involved in their life. I think that part of the bond that they had came from the fact that they had to rely on each other for support.
