I've made mainly Final Fantasy Music Videos so I've always got my footage in clips, I've been trying for months to do the same with anime like Mirage of blaze and Yami no Matsuei, but I continue to put off or give up because the footage is so long and it drives me crazy. I was wondering if anybody knows of anything I could do to get around this. If they know of software that can chop up clips with out devaluing the quality or something like that.

if you're running windows movie maker there is a split option. click once on the clip you want to cut and play it for however long you want it. then up in the task bar click on "clip" and about the third option from the botom of the drop down is the option of "split" and it will cut the clip in two starting from and ending where ever you are in the sequence.

or if you'd like *since I'm going through and pulling some screne caps* I can send you animated gifs of all 13 episodes in 5 second incraments. ^^; if yes to this it will take some time to send to you as i do that by doing one still rame at a time and loading them into my photo editing program. while it's not a problem for me *as i odten need mindless work when i'm trying to get unstuck rom a fic* XD i just don't want you to go OMG ALL OF THEM, NOW! but i can send you at least an episode at a time. these have no subtitles either btw.

I've used Movie maker in the past, another reason why I'm so used to clips, but I've moved on to software with more variety like videow and adobe and such.

I'm exactly sure I know what you mean by animated gif's, you're not talking about sending me icons are you?? If you're talking about sending me footage which is clear to see, and I could make an AMV out of it, I'd be very thankful. But I get the feeling it might take awhile. I don't want you to put yourself out or anything, I'm fine with waiting on my butt for footage, don't worry about me ^.^

5 second incraments?? That's rather short-that defintely sounds like it's going to take you awhile ^^; isn't possible to make it any longer??

up to about 30 seconds. not sure what my rogram would do with it's self if any longer than 30. i tried to make a fish thing once that was a minute long or so *about 6000 pics* and it got half way through and froze to death. it can only handle about 1000 pics at a time. the size would be 320x240 but i can make them bigger *wouldn't recamend larger than 500x375 though* that's in pxls btw. Most of it is pretty good quality, however i when recording to the computer i had the choice of white washing about 20% of the entire series, or lossing over 60% to being too dark, so some scenes are too white to use. though i may be able to darken them with said program. *haven't tried it before* I think this is a good example of what you'll get only in gif form.

^^ really though, no problem on my end. in my free time i multi task and mindless things like *frame, save, next frame, save, next frame, save* help me think about my plot. *cause i don't have to think about doing it.* XD i used to drive my last boss crazy by straightening the ties because of that.

Wow, your amazing, in my spare time I do hardly anything. But yes the clips seem fine, I would love you to do that for me but, woh, it still sounds like a bit for you. I hope you didn't loose your fish thing, I HATE it when I work hard on something and loose it.

*giggles* it wouldn't take that long if i just sat down and did the whole thing at once, but i'm lazy about that. I see a still frame and it gives me a fic idea so i go for writing a couple of paragraphs of something and then back to the capturing until i see another one.

That's a really clever way going about it. I see what you mean by multi-taksing, haha you are defintely a woman.

T_T whaaa gomen nasai! i had intended on emailing you today, however i really wasn't feeling good and ended up sleeping most of the day. The weekends are usually verry hecktic around here so i'm very sorry it'll probably be monday before i email you. *bows* again i'm very sorry for the delay!
