Drabble dump!

A whole bunch of drabbles that I never added to my memories, so there's a good chance that all you lovely people won't have seen them.

Weakness

There was something seriously wrong.

That morning Hisoka had stared down a raging demon. It had roared and bellowed, but Hisoka hadn't looked away from those hellfire eyes while he fought. Those ferocious eyes hadn't intimidated him.

That afternoon Tsuzuki had asked Hisoka to buy him cake. Hisoka had, of course, refused. Then Tsuzuki turned on the puppy dog eyes. His expression was the picture of misery and self-pity. His huge, tear filled eyes met Hisoka's.

"Pleeease, Hisoka?"

A few minutes later Tsuzuki was all smiles as he ate his cake, chattering on about how Hisoka was the best partner ever.

Something was seriously wrong.

Perfectly Understandable (Sequel to Weakness)

Tatsumi pulled Hisoka aside after he and Tsuzuki came in later than expected.

"Kurosaki-kun, I'm disappointed. You know how busy the department is. I expect this kind of behavior from Tsuzuki-san, but not from you."

Hisoka looked abashed.  "I'm sorry, Tatsumi-san. I was... buying Tsuzuki cake."

"Buying Tsuzuki-san cake? Kurosaki-kun, that is hardly a reasonable-"

Hisoka interrupted. "He gave me The Eyes, Tatsumi-san!"

Tatsumi paused. "I see. Please accept my apologies for my harsh words."

"No apology necessary Tatsumi-san. I will be sure to work extra hard to make up for my lateness." Hisoka bowed, then turned to go. "We are so whipped," he muttered.

Code of Hammurabi

Muraki had come to realize that humanity had a limit when it came to perceiving the spiritual world. There were places of power and signs that simply couldn't be seen by the human eye.

There were ways around that, however. Such as the ritual Muraki was currently conducting. Everything was perfect: seven inverted pentagrams drawn in a virgin's blood, nine black candles dusted with a mixture of salt and ash, the knife with a handle of tarnished silver, and, finally, the sacrifice.

Muraki held the knife an inch from his face. "An eye for an eye," he said with a laugh.

He stabbed.

Colors

Maria was wearing her favorite blue dress when she slit her wrists. Her blood was red, and she marveled as it soaked through, turning the fabric dark purple. Then she fell asleep and knew no more.

When she awoke, her dress was white, smeared brown in some places from the dirt. Her arms were white as well, and she wondered where the blood went. When she looked up, she knew.

The moon that should have been as white as her dress, as white as her wrists was red. The moon bled for her.

Maybe I was consumed by that moon.

Purity

This case involves a haunted wedding dress, which is why they’re currently in a bridal shop, much to Terazuma’s discomfort.

“Why are they all white?” he asks, trying to distract himself.

“It symbolizes purity,” Wakaba answers. She leans forward to inspect a dress, and she can feel the heat from Terazuma’s body, can smell smoke, sweat, and something piquant that she can’t quite place. She hears his breath catch and knows that he’s as affected as she is.

He is so very close…

She pulls away, mindful of the danger.

Sometimes, Wakaba wishes white didn’t suit her quite so well.

Faithless

(Fusion with Loveless)

Hisoka was so pissed off. Why did that man, Tsuzuki, have to come into his life and start saying such crazy things?

“Your name is Faithless—‘one without faith.’”

Why did Tsuzuki have to say such stupid things?

“I love you, Hisoka. I will do anything for you.”

Hisoka wouldn’t be able to forget any of it. Not Tsuzuki’s words, not the fighting. He wouldn’t forget how elegant and powerful Tsuzuki looked as he chanted spells, wouldn’t forget the pain their opponents’ attacks had caused him. He stared at the cell-phone Tsuzuki had given him.

Faithless was a rotten name.

Hey cool. More Veleda drabbles.

Weakness + Perfectly Understandable

I have realised long ago your one of those writers that can covey a lot and say very little. And that hasn't changed as I read all of these. I loved weakness and perfectly understandable, especially how you described puppy dog eyes. Hahahaha I loved the change in Tatsumi after hearing Hisoka's excuse, "The Eyes"

Code of Hammurabi

"An eye for an eye," O.o woh. Bet that poor bastard regrets it now. O.o Very creepy original drabble. Really good.

Colors

Felt faint reading this, poor Maria. The moon that should have been as white as her dress, as white as her wrists was red. The moon bled for her. I liked that line, and the last one where you added a line from the program, really helped to convey the tragic and dark mood.

Purity

I loved the double meaning. It is a shame about Kuro, I love the Wakaba Terazuma pairing. And the descrption in this drabble I particularly like as well. Thanks a lot for sharing!!

Faithless

Awwwww. Kawaii!! Tsuoka. [i]He stared at the cell-phone Tsuzuki had given him. Faithless was a rotten name[i]. So sweet, I really loved the subtleties of this one. Thanks for posting it and all your other drabbles.

Thanks a lot for sharing I had fun reading them. Please post more soon!!

Wow, thanks very much.  I feel all embarrassed now.

Hee, Tatsumi knows the power of The Eyes!

Aw, but he got such a great deal.  Phenomenal cosmic power, all for one measily little body part (and one dead virgin).

I'm extra glad you liked this one, as it's my favorite.

I feel sorry for Maria.  She really got the short end of the stick

Wakaba and Terazuma are the ultimate UST pairing.  I feel sorry for them.

I'm relieved that you liked the subtlies.  I was a bit worried that this drabble wasn't forceful or powerful enough

I'll do my best!

Your drabbles are soooo awesome XDD

I like the Maria one, because it makes that phrase make a heckuvalot more sense XD

And Hammurabi's Code? So, so excellent--you're the only other writer I know of besides myself who has ever written about why Muraki-sensei is missing an eye.

And Purity--OMG luff and heartbreak DD:

Write mores, okay :'DD

I'm very glad you like the drabbles. I must be doing something right.

I've actually found a handful of authors who postulate on Muraki's eye. I don't think I've seen yours though. Link?

It's not the main focus of the story but I do talk about it in one of the chapters of "Mad Scientsts" http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3120021/6/
Veleda

*smacks forehead* Oh yeah, I do remember reading that. Sorry.
Rhea-sama
