So, with the help of The Only Astrology Book You'll Ever Need, I set out to compile Hisoka's astrological info. This contains spoilers for the entire manga and anime.

Hisoka was born October 18 1980.

First: Sun Sign--

Hisoka is a Libra. Reading the section on Librans, I was a little dismayed.

Libra is active, artistic, easygoing, peaceable, prizes beauty and harmony, is diplomatic, polished, and very socially inclined.

Libra people tend to stir up ill feelings from others in situations having to do with love. Because they are indecisive and sometimes make declarations of love too easily, Librans both anger and disappoint lovers. They also have a tendency to be fickle and faithless.

....Ok, that doesn't sound like our boy at all. "Very socially inclined"? "Make(s) declarations of love too easily"? "Fickle and faithless"? This is the guy you gets physically ill at parties? This is the guy who could only admit that he needed someone when it was literally life and death? And then, when he did confess, said he would follow the person into death if need be? Doesn't sound faithless to me.

Despite this, I kept reading.

Hisoka is in the Third Decante of Libra

Your mind is forceful, curious, open to new ideas. In general, you tend to follow your head rather than your heart. You enjoy sifting through information and making a reasonable and balanced judgment. Your pronounced intellectual capabilities are part of your allure.

Sometimes the depth of your true feeling for a lover is not apparent on the surface. Though you have talent for the written word, you find it difficult to speak you emotions.

Hm, better. Not perfect, but better. Let's move on.

Hisoka's Moon is in Capricorn.

A Moon in Capricorn modifies your Sun sign in this way:

The dark side of Capricorn Moon: You are more rigid, pessimistic, opinionated, materialistic, overexacting.

Wow, I'd say the accuracy of that just about made up for the wrongness of the Sun sign. "You are a determined person, but your singlemindedness can sometimes turn into obsession. You pin your hopes on one idea, turn all your energy in one direction; if you fail you may suffer serious depression." Gensoukai arc anyone? "Authority and power are a compensation for the difficulties they encounter in emotional areas." I never really thought abou it that way, but it makes so much sense.

Hisoka's Mercury is in Scorpio.

Mercury-Scorpios are particularly suited to investigative work because you are unflagging in your pursuit and nothing eludes your keen observation. You take great pride in you ability not to be fooled. You also have a stubborn, obstinate mind and are enamored of your own ideas. One cannot budge you from your point of view unless you want to be budged.

You probably have a volatile temper, and Mercury-Scorpios are known for their biting sarcasm when crossed or upset. You have an emotional intelligence. You will fight for a cause even if it is hopeless, or sacrifice your time and energies for someone you love.

Yay, another accurate passage. And that last line... *sob* so true.

Hisoka's Venus is in Virgo.

If you have a Venus in Virgo , you tend to be cautious about falling in love. You sometimes avoid involvement by taking small defects in a person and blowing them out of proportion as major character flaws. You hold yourself under tight rein, because you fear that your feelings will be exploited by someone unworthy.

Venus-Virgo's have many virtues. You are refined and intelligent, loyal and sympathetic. Often you are an imaginative writer and teacher; you have an excellent business sense and a quiet but witty sense of humor.

Hm, not as spot on as the past two, but not bad.

Hisoka's Mars is in Sagittarius. It's largely inaccurate, mainly saying that Mars-Sagittariuses are easily distracted, and flighty when it comes to sex. It does, however, say:

It promotes courage, independence, and daring.

And:

You tend to be impulsive and act rashly.

So that's something.

Hisoka's Jupiter is in Virgo.

If you have this Jupiter position you are smart, analytical, and persevering. You figure out the surest route to the largest dividend. The power of Jupiter surrounds you intellectual pursuits, but the difference between Jupiter-Virgos and other intellectual signs is that Virgos have an uncommon amount of common sense. You are superb a handling detail and do your best work a step at a time.

Once again, not to bad. Heh, sometimes Hisoka shows common sense, sometimes not so much. He certainly is smart though.

Hisoka's Saturn is in Libra.

As a Saturn-Libra you are gifted with good judgment and an instinct for making the right impression on others. You know when to be aggressive and when to be diplomatic.

Saturn in Libra may suppress the desire to share and be close to another person, which often results in loneliness.

Saturn-Librans are susceptible to back and kidney problems.

I'd say that's pretty much true. Hisoka can certainly be polite when he wants to be, and the second line is also accurate. As for the back and kidney problems... uh, Tsuzuki should sure that he's eating right and taking vitamins. XD

Hisoka's Uranus is in Scorpio

You have a dominating quality that wells up from deep within you. You possess a magnetic sexuality that is sometimes known as star quality. You are blessed with a penetrating mind. You are able to bring concentration and willpower to bear, and thus can move mountains through sheer effort.

Often you benefit through a partner's money or by an inheritance. At times you may be thought of as stubborn, secretive, and shrewd.

I fully support this section! All hail dom Hisoka and his magnetic sexuality! And the part about moving mountains through sheer effort is very him. It all works except for the first sentence of the second paragraph. Because Tsuzuki has no money!

Hisoka's Neptune is in Sagittarius.

Sagittarius is the sign of higher learning, philosophy, and freedom. Neptune-Sagittarians have fine intellects, higher purposes, and humane natures...

Neptune in this position brings a desire for liberty and truth, and a visionary outlook

In the book, that section was largely devoted to the "world at large," so I had less to work with. Still, not bad.

Hisoka's Pluto is in Libra.

Pluto-in-Libra also indicates a deep concern for law and balancing justice.

When Pluto is in Libra the planet's personal influence promotes a deep need to seek harmony and cooperation. Its negative side brings unforeseen problems in close relationships.

This one was even more of a "big picture" description than Neptune. But, I think we can say that Hisoka is concerned with justice (his own, personal justice, at the very least).

I've read some and will go through the rest. Most characters signs are quite accurate as obviously the mangaka picks them for that reason. Tsuzuki and Tatsumi in particular are dead on, though I can also see Tatsumi as a Cancer, (boy would that add a few things if he was). But yeah I've said this before, I always thought Libra as a sign for Hisoka is kinda maybe what Hisoka could have been. I remember him even mentioning once he would enjoy parties if it weren't for he's empathy. Boy did that surprise me. Hisoka also reminds me of my Libra friend, and a lot of their chart is similar.

On another note, according to astrology some people act more like their rising or moon then their actual sign.
