Kira (and friends ^__^)A thread for mainly Kira and other I would say third stage characters. So secondary characters like Hijiri don't count and Tsubaki don't count they got four episodes and a whole book, I'm talking about Chidsuru, Rika, Mitani and other minor characters.
This is mainly a thread for Kira though. I thought she should just share it with others. So what do you think of her?

Kira... wow. What's there NOT to like about her? She's powerful, spirited, and pretty damn sexy for a woman in a yaoi manga....

Continuing on, Kira.. Wow.
I'm under the impression that she doesn't have any powers. At all- just holy water... ceremonial sword... etc. XP
But still, she does this all in a kickass fashion- a woman in a man's world. Amazing, no?

"A woman in a man's world" is especially accurate for Kira. She's an exorcist and appears to be Catholic. The Catholic church is really patriarchal. I wonder what a lot of people in the church think of her taking such an active role?

Speaking of third level femal characters, I really want to buy volume nine so I can finally see the Peace Preservation Bureau women.

She seems like a free agent to me. In the manga she receives orders from Enma-Daioh himself, but also says that she'll have to report the hapenings to the demon realm.
I doubt she works personally for Enma, given that she's Catholic and not Shintoist/Buddhist.

Ahh.. I see.
But I dunno.. she seems like the femme in distress, in some cases- but it shows the strength and stubbornness to keep her inn..
and she looks kinda like Hisoka. (but then again, most girls do look like Hisoka.)

You think so? I can't remember any place where she appeared to be in distress. She seemed entirely capable the entire time. It seemed to me that she could have handled the entire situation herself.
Really, the only person who needed rescuing in that arc was Tsuzuki. (Well, and Mitani. But he died.)

Well, the only arc Kira appears in is the St. Michael arc, so I don't know what what other arc we'd be talking about.
Edit: Aha! I knew there was a reason I thought Kira was a free agent. On page 168 of the Sakura Crisis scanlations it says "Kira does not belong to any of the divisions, therefore she works alone."

*nods* Kira is a free agent, she didn't seem to dramatise the scenes in the st Micheal's arc at all, what was like a wild dark arc for us seemed almost like an everyday occurrence to her, she could have her own manga at the looks of things.
On Rika, *insert possible Yuri character here* um yeah. I really adored Rika, she reminded me more of Yuma or Saya in appearance, but with a more mature look to her face, I thought she was really beautiful *swoons*. And there was almost a wistful unfinished feeling to her and Chidsuru's story. I loved how she found everything normal, oh yea I thought my friend was dead but she's here, um, YEAH it's all good, a giant white tiger just jumped out of nowhere, AH that's normal, and cute. Does anyone think she really deep down knew Chidsuru was dead, I got the feeling she might have.

Yeah, I was amused by the way Rika took everything in stride. And I agree with you that she knew Chizuru was dead.

As to the unfinished thing...that is life, or rather death.
It takes us, or those around us without warning. Characters, well written characters anyways, are not equations just to be solved and then discarded. Since Chidsiru is dead, she and Rika won't be able to work out whatever issues they may have had (or wanted to have). That's the way things work...

Don't worry JiHye, very aware now that your Korean *wags finger* not to be confused with other places in Asia.
I know this is an extreme off topic generalisation. Just wondering I know there are tensions between the Japanese and Chinese since Japan invaded China and all and probably other things, but is it the same with Japanese and Koreans as well since Japan invaded Korea, *sweatdrop*, didn't China invade Korea at some point too. *sweatdrop* poor Korea no wonder they've got their weapons at the ready @__@.
