past Gensoukai~I don't know if anyone's read past the Gensoukai arc at this point- seeing that the Kyoto arc has just finished in the US. But I have, so if anyone wants to talk about exactly how scary Watari seems, and how soft Tatsumi's become, or how much angstier Hisoka gets, or how more mysterious and cliched Tsuzuki gets, or exactly HOW the HECK the Mother Computer figures into all this..
well. this is the thread for that~ =D

Tatsumi's always been soft under that hard knife bearing shell and Watari's always been scary. Has Muraki come back at all since Gensokai's finish.

I never really got into the Gen Sou Kai arc. For one, it isn't finished yet, and the art and storytelling sort of kinda went downhill after volume six of the manga.
Meh. ::shrugs:: 'M not a personal fan of the manga. I'm an anime girl through and through. But I do like the Shikigami, however.

I like Gensokai but I think book nine could have been put together a bit better, I love the shikigami. I've only gotten into manga in the last year up until then I've been all anime. There's bit of the manga I prefer and bits of the anime I prefer so I'm mixed on YnM.

I like the shikigami's too especially Kijin.......

For one I think Gensou Kai is the best arc of the manga. I really wish that Matsushita-sensei would continue the manga (or has she?). I would really want to know what whould happend to Hisoka in KuriKara's test. but what really bothered me most is why was the Kamakura-hen was inserted in the GensSou Kai-hen.

my opinion is that that snake monster is a shikigami who fell down to earth from one of the hole from the gensokai. That's why it's linked, that mean ren the ancestor had defeated the shikigami or something, and with the curses, the shikigami will only be free from the kurosaki when there will be no more male hair...
could be fun if matsushita continues, to see hisoka returning from gensokai and saving his father by controlling the shiki... sort of the nice revenge, the savior of kurosaki family and nagare, will be hisoka himself..as shinigami, it's better than a revenge between father and son.

I didn't even think about there being a connection like that between the 2 arcs. It does makes sense and I would just love to see Matsushita explore this connection.
