meowFor a while I liked it, but then I got into bigger and better anime (Yami no being one of them). What can I say? Hisoka has stolen my heart and I can still see him in my mind's eye dancing to the numa numa song....And now you've got me singing the words to the rolplaying school song to the toon of Poemon  OI, what's next?

Hmm.. So-
First lesson of Class!!! Always keep in mind that you must be consistent. Your character can't be all angsty, then happy the next time your roleplay as him/her!! It just doesn't work out~ So always remember to be CONSISTENT.. Even in tenses, and the TONE of the story must move along with the character~ |

Which leads into the thing that I've been meaning to talk about~~ A UNIVERSAL RULE IN ALL ROLE PLAYING~~~~~~ Don't bring in your personal thoughts into your roleplaying. (Yes, this has happened to me before..) Some people use schizophrenics as an outlet for their own feelings about a person- they might be kind and sweet, like Waka-chan, but harbor an evil feeling for Muraki inside; simply because you do. I'm not saying that Wakaba LOVES Muraki, but an overdose of hatred, love, admiration, or any other emotion you have of a person MUST NOT COME OUT during the course of any roleplay. It's over doing the character, and it's not courteous to the other roleplayers and the character him/herself. So yeah. Homework... Practice. That's all you need~~ ^^v |

XP ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS keep in mind the various degrees of respect- including my rules, and GRAMMAR. YES. PLEASE. v^^v And as to practice, there are the chatrooms, and I'm open to all suggestions on the forum about them. If you want one-on-one practice, then PM me.. or just use AIM/YIM/MSN.... ^^v |

First off, we'll need the most compatible time with everyone.... so check the Announcements area for time zones.
But since my compy finally decided to cooperate.. I'll be in the chatrooms from probably 3-7..8ish. ^^v and I'm always up for private sessions. ^^ |

ah. and one more thing:
if you want to use Japanese phrases, then say them correctly. Please. And keep in mind that your character does not become 'more Japanese-y' by using them, correct or no. (Heh- 'East Breezy' by Utada Hikaru. XD) http://www.geocities.com/Tokyo/Bay/9295/romanji.htm this is a site for the various Japanese words that you'd find in fanfics. ^^v I'm just making up for all the missed 'classes'.. that's all. v^^v |

Remember that you have the luxury of bolding, italicizing, and underlining your letters. Chatzy doesn't do that (does it?), but I do believe that messenging services and PMs do let you.
And WrItInG lIkE tHiS iSn'T pReTtY.. jUsT pLaIn AnNoYiNg. It's not the same as emphasizing what your character says/does in the aforementioned fonts. It adds more feeling to your story. Speaking of feeling- you can't lose energy in the middle of the roleplay. It just doesn't work out for you, or your character, and the people affecting you. You can harness your feelings and make it productive within the roleplay, but you can't make Tsuzuki feel lethargic, simply because you do. No. It doesn't work that way- you might as well dress Tatsumi in a tutu and turn the entire thing into crack. Yep. Lesson of the day is over~ |

^^; well there have been many times when I've messed up in school because of home situations. In those cases I apologise to the teacher. That's what Jani's doing, it's typical in school's and classes. See, so it makes the RP class feel like a real classroom with that. Heh heh heh.
But uhhh, I'm not sure when we'll next get a real RP related comment. The issue isn't so much the people here, as the people who aren't. There's just too few people maybe. |

Actually, yes.
Remember to TIME your stuff- if you have a good idea for the plot, then wait until it's progressed enough for your roleplay to handle your twist. I've had/done that too- so I'm actually speaking from experience. XP But you can't move things too fast, either! A prime example of this is: Johnny was walking down the street. Then, two men in black tried to kidnap/rape him and a building fell down on Johnny. See? Doesn't work. So you can't really move the story too quickly or too slowly- dragging things out will just prove to make it more.. boring. O.o Any questions? |

A CLASS IS NOT A CLASS UNLESS THERE ARE STUDENTS. And unless everybody doesn't need any tips and are simply raring to go for the chatrooms, then TELL ME SO. "I'm not a mind reader!" ~my fifth, sixth, seventh, eight, and ninth grade teachers... this will be the last tip, unless there are more posts. I understand that there are very few people in this forum- but I do expect to see somebody other than myself posting in here. XP Yeah. I'm done with my ranting. 8D Remember to keep in canon with the storyline. AUs are actually really hard to do, and most roleplays are fricken canon, anyways. But you can't really mess up the storyline- the plot develops the characters as much as the roleplayer does. =D |

'Canon' is the c part of OOC.
OOC = Out of Canon. ah. I'm going in circles. but Canon is simply the original works of an author, generally accepted and authenticized by the public. ^^v |
