I might add a poll when I get a few solid replies.

So friends what kind of shipper are you? Do you find that there are certain pairings you find more attractive than others.

Do you love those rivalry pairings or do you tend to opt for the 'I'll take care of you and help you through your trauma's' or are you more the angsty 'we'll make it possible for us to get together but not actually do it because things are waaay too complicated and frustrating for that', are you totally loyal to canon. Are you the taboo type? Do tell. Usually even if your everything and anything goes like me, you'll find patterns.

For instance;

Me?? Well I usually find that when it comes to shipping, it's like (my favourite character and everyone/*insert any character here*) thats me. Yep. I will usually mentally pimp out my favourite character to anyone.

In most fandoms, I'm much the same, actually. I'm interested in anything featuring my favourite characters, so I tend to stick to the pairings featuring them and almost any relationship dynamic within those is fine. However, YnM is fairly unusual for me since it's one of the few fandoms where I like virtually every character, so I don't end up sticking to the same handful of pairings that feature my favourites. So, I suppose I'm definitely not a rabid shipper at all. Although I do think some pairings are 'meant' to happen within canon (like Tsuzuki and Hisoka), I'm just as happy to see those characters paired off with others.

Canon definitely is not a problem. The only issue I have with people straying from canon is when they radically alter characters' canonical feelings. For example, Tsuzuki and Hisoka are clearly very attached to each other. I see nothing wrong with writing Muraki/Tsuzuki instead, unless the ficcer decides to write about how Tsuzuki secretly hated Hisoka all along. Or writing about how Hisoka thinks Tsubaki was an evil strumpety no-good harpy, when he seemed to get on perfectly well with her in canon. Most of the pairings in YnM are only ever implied, so it's very easy to write them off as being affection rather than love, and they won't get in the way at all.

And as for pairing types.. I do like some fairly normal relationships and fluff, although in fic, it depends on the story line. A well-written story about Tsuzuki and Hisoka overcoming some problems while falling for each other I would enjoy, but I'd find a story about them picking out wallpaper and raising a troupe of babies to be bland. If it's purely relationship focused, I do have a secret soft spot for messed-up, hopeless pairings that would never work out.

I'm way picky these days. Such as, I used to enjoy reading ALL kinds of YnM fics. I just did. Now... I only read a couple that've been shown to me thanks to Rhea, which happen to feature my fav. pairing. (Tatari)

Um, but I like anything as long as it's centered around those two.

I think part of it has to do with the whole AS thing which is partially classified by 'a very narrow and extreme focus of interest' (("All-absorbing narrow interest")
I used to read a lot of Tsu/His things.. and wrote some (not much) of it.. But then Watari liek, took over my life. Then I started liking him and Tatsumi together... XDDD

I tend to like pretty boy pairings. Thus my lovefor Hijiri/Hisoka. That and they're practically twins!!! <3

I seem to like the ones who have younger faces and thinner bodies. Big, thick bodies are unattractive to me for some reason. Tatsumi, Watari, and Tsuzuki are exceptions, but for some reason, many of my pairings are very slim and graceful. Another example is my love for a GW pairing that is quiet and kind, slim and pretty. It's 3x4, or Trowa x Quatre. For some reason, the ones who would make hawt women really catch my imagination and call to me... and occasionally some shota XDDD

Weird XD I wouldn't describe Watari (or Tsuzuki for that matter) as.. 'thick' though he does seem to be beefier in places later on than he initially was in the series oO;;

I guess that's just what happens with the style change XD

I like trying out new pairings, when I have the plunnies to spare. 8D Kpop fandoms usually take over my life, considering my LJ friends spam me in MSN when I go online.. But I like making crack pairings, and writing sth serious with them. I think that's my favorite part of writing a story- when somebody leaves a comment saying sth about how I could turn a crack pairing to something sweet. Or angsty. Or..... I dunno. XD

I think I make it my hobby to make crack pairings seem almost natural. If somebody tells me that, that is the best compliment anybody can give me, next to smart words, like "transient". XDD

I'm really not sure what kind of shipper I am. I like a certain pairing and I usually like to stick with that, but if I love a character alot then I may read some fics that pair them with all sorts of characters.

I am a One pairing kind of girl. Love my Tsu/Mur. any way you see it.

but If push comes to shove. I am mostly for the hard- core in pairings.

I do find that Oriya and Muraki have good pairings.

but I'm not much a romance lover as I am a slam you against the wall and take, Take ,TAKE! kinda lover!

OTC = One True Character, yanno. And probably, with my angst stool and corner so in use these days, I'd probably pick (if I had to) Muraki, as my OTC for YnM. 8D;;;;

I have my OTP (Tsuzuki/Hisoka) and my OT3 (Tatsumi/Hisoka/Tsuzuki), but I like a wide variety of pairings, especially Hisoka/Tatsumi, Hisoka/Oriya, and Watari/Tsuzuki. I'm quite open minded in this fandom, while in others I have a handful of pairings I like, and won't read outside them.

One True Pairing, and OT3 is One True threesome.

Though, really, it might be more accurate to call Hisoka/Tsuzuki my One True Relationship, because what I really love is the bond between them, no matter what form it takes. They love each other, and it matters less to me whether that love is platonic or romantic.

Then to be honest I would say that my OTP is Tsuoka, it's only that I'm not religiously commited to them but yea I agree about not caring about the nature of their love only its exsistence.
