Hmm, I can see Watari being obessive compulsive. Besides that, he also obsessed with his experiments and trying to create the perfect potion that is gender bending. He's a mechanical engineer but he doesn't seem to have much interest in that.

Also, does anyone know if Watari is an actual doctor or scientist?

I guess that sometimes he ends up playing doctor, or at least that's the impression I got. I seem to remember in the first volume of the manga Watari said to Hisoka that he was filling in for the doctor.

I wouldn't be surprised if he had multiple degrees, especially now that he's dead and has plenty of time to study XD

probably does both. and studies at home in his spare time, when he's not blowing up his lab or pissing off Tatsumi.

and I bet he writes some of these textbooks under another name, with conspiracy theories in the margins. 8D;
