I have broken the 666! D:
I like both but prefer dubbed because of the extra "sound" effects between Tsuzuki and Muraki's encounter. XDDDD Plus, I just really like Tsuzuki and Tatsumi's voices. :3
But I canna stand Watari's english voice. X3 Sorreh. _________________

And I /think/ I recognized his voice in the anime Paranoia Agent, too. X3 _________________

| Without a doubt the dub is my favorite for YnM. I love the way Dan Green and Liam O'Brien portray Tsuzuki and Hisoka. Plus, it drives me crazy that a woman does Hisoka's voice. Liam does a much better job playing Hisoka. God, I hate it when they have women playing the voices of male characters. I find it incredibly irritating. |

You are so right. That's the perfect way to describe Liam's voice.
Paurie, you're right, that is his voice in Paranoia Agent. I'm such a huge fan of Liam's that I'll pretty much watch anything he provides a voice for. I find that pretty fortunate since some of the work he has done I would never have watched and they turned out to be really great. |

| Voted on sub, cuz it feels wrong when it's dubbed, but it's also probably because I've seen the subbed first.. ^^ |

When you've seen the subbed version you get so used to the voices, and then when you see the dubbed version it just feels wrong, voices doesn't match and sounds so different.. I agree with that sometimes it doesn't matter.
As I said before if you see the dubbed version first it's more acceptable, but maybe it's just me.. I usually see subbed rather than dubbed if possible. |

I agree. I can't detach myself from the subbed long enough to form an unbiased opinion on the dub. I agree people can be harsh about the dub. But I feel the voices used could have been done more effectively, less guttural tone on Hisoka, I think Tsuzuki's voice actor is VERY suited but again I don't feel he uses the voice to it's best. Tatsumi's is okay but sometimes it sounds to young, and I simply hate Muraki's voice and will never like it, unfortunately, this is just the way I feel. Again it's probably depends on which one you see first. _________________

Hmm, honestly, I loathed Hisoka's Japanese voice. I absolutely hate it when women are cast as boys. When I watch the sub I just keep thinking 'For goodness sakes, just put a damn dress on him.' I think Liam O'Brien was a much better choice for Hisoka. None of my young male students (even the 12 year old ones) sound like a girl. Their voices are pretty deep, much like Liam's voice. So realistically he was the better choice. As much as I adore Miki's voice, I thought he was the wrong choice to play Tsuzuki. The whole time I was watching, I kept thinking of Yoji from Weiss.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I thought that the YnM English dub actors needed to be defended
