He would probably be fine with children because they're still so innocent and have those cute innocent emotions.
Maybe it's even soothing for Hisoka to sense the emotions of a child? |

| never thought about that. Considering his past, he might find them relaxing. Due to his past I imagine he didn't have innocent emotions for long. Too many things going on around him that forced him to grow up. So yes :p I think he likes Kazusa <3 |

| I have to agree with the above posts. Childrens' emotions tend to be more innocent and that would explain why he can handle being around them, well at least Kazsusa. |

| Was is just me or did he not mind Hijiri all that much either? It seemed that he just got tired because Hijiri was really energetic XD "Where does he get his energy?" XD |

| I think Hisoka was pretty fond of Hijiri as well. It irks me when I read in fanfic where Hisoka made it clear that he doesn't like Hijiri. There's nothing in the manga or anime to suggest that Hisoka harbored any dislike for Hijiri. When they were sightseeing, Hisoka was amazed that Hijiri had the energy to keep going and it no way was he resentful of him. |

This arc really has very little do to with Hisoka; it's more meant to develop Tsuzuki's character and make us curious about his past. I think there was only like one thing developed about Hisoka in this arc, and it was kind of the start of showing how Hisoka wanted to get stronger than or at least as strong as Tsuzuki.
I guess I'm trying to say that this arc is pretty Tsuzuki-centric and Hisoka's kind of just there. I dunno, I think I may have totally gone off from whatever I wanted to say... |

| true. But still, one of the people it focuses on looks just like him, how could we not bring him up? :p And of course Hiji-kun's my favorite character. Soooo.... question... since it was Hisoka who was chopped up by Tsuzuki, why did his eye still have the slitted pupil? I remember that's how it was in the show (can't remember the book for the life of me at the moment). |

| The fact that Hijiri looks like Hisoka I think implies that Hisoka does have an important role in this arc. Tsuzuki rather flirtious with Hijiri and I think that has alot to do with the fact that Hijiri looks like Hisoka (although Tsuzuki does truly care about Hijiri). I guess what I'm saying is that I just don't agree that Hisoka was "just there." |

Well, about the child emotions things.
Anybody remember a particularly childish book, sth like 'Sideways School'? One of the stories is about a teacher, who has a hidden ear in the middle of her forehead. She uses it to read people's emotions, and maniuplates her 'gift'. She's turned very bitter, bcz her boyfriend (soon to be husband, I thought) scorns her after finding out that she wasn't normal. (sound familiar?)
(..well. Minus the 'boyfriend' part. We all know Hisoka's probable revulsion at the idea of marrying a girl, courtesy of Saya and Yuma. XD)
So she gets the job at Sideways School (or sth like that name. it's been a while. 8D;;), and then, she decides to listen to the heart of a baby.
The sweet innocence of that child melted the ... crustiness... (ew) away from her heart, and she was all .. reformed.
I totally support that argument. (even if it is reinforced by my own saying so. XD)
And...
About the Devil's Trill?
I like to think of it as a particular 'what if' arc. There's so much to mess with, but there's also so much to think about. Hijiri-Tsuzuki-Hisoka isn't on of my favorite love triangles, to be sure. I can totally agree that Hisoka didn't HATE Hijiri. But, it's also true that Hisoka wasn't really a main character in this arc.
He wasn't quite just 'there', though. If I put myself in Tsuzuki's suicidal, caring, and totally undead shoes, I think that I'd have a hell of a time trying to kill somebody who looks like my partner (who I'd secretly wanna either punch, for being so bratty, or kiss, for being so freakishly cute and lovable, if he's not being a brat).
Then again, he WAS being posessed. Hm.
But I think that Hijiri looking like Hisoka does play an important part- when Hijiri let Tsuzuki 'loose' from his mental prison (goodness, that makes him sound something along the lines of a psycho..), my little TsuSoka-loving inner fangirl would like to think that Tsuzuki thought it was Hisoka who was helping him.
The looks definitely help, somewhat. XD _________________ ♥ ☆ ♥ ☆ J ☆ I ☆ H ☆ Y ☆ E ☆ ♥ ☆ ♥

Good post pyro_o. In response to the last paragraph I have to say that I feel the same way. In the manga, Sagatanasu said to Tsuzuki "How does it feel to have just killed your partner." That must have torn Tsuzuki up, but I found it odd that was never address. We all know that Hisoka doesn't hold Tsuzuki responsible for that, but how did Tsuzuki react to it?
