Tatsumi: Tatsumi awoke later, his wound healed up, and immediately realized how hungry he felt. He turned his head to look around, forgetting what had happened for a moment. (Don't you love that short amount of time when you first wake up and don't remember anything?)

Watari: Watari was asleep on a chair nearby, looking tired and generally...wasted. Like he'd lost too much weight in a short amount of time.. but maybe that was just the angle his head was at.

Tatsumi: God. They were still at work. Tatsumi sat up and was torn between waking Watari and letting him sleep. He walked up to the sleeping form and stared with worried eyes before gently shaking Watari's shoulder.

Watari: The blonde opened his eyes sleepily, seeming disoriented and dull for a moment. Then he blinked a couple times and seemed to get it. "O-oh.. sorry.." He spoke around a yawn. "I on'y sat down for a minute.." He didn't add that he hadn't been sleeping at all for the last few days.

Tatsumi: Tatsumi could see it in his face now, though. "Go home, Watari. Get some rest."

Watari: He almost argued. "I--" Almost. "What about you?"

Tatsumi: "I've already had a few days off, remember?" he joked.

Watari: Uncertainty crossed Watari's face, banked pain half-hidden behind his eyes. He took a breath. Why was he having a panic attack? This was so.. so unlike him! He wished he felt more like himself... but... his mind had been ripped open and ripped into like it hadn't been in years...

Tatsumi: "I'm sorry." Tatsumi apologized with a smile. "I could..." he sighed, getting a grip. "I'll escort you home." Because he honestly didn't want the man out of his sight!

Watari: "You don't have to." Watari said quickly. He didn't want the other man to feel duty or honor bound.. and certainly not uncomfortable!

Tatsumi: "No, I don't. But I want to."

Watari: That... stumped and puzzled Watari, but he was really too tired to delve for the answer. "Alright... if you want to."

Tatsumi: Offering Watari a hand. "Come on." He had such a deep need to be with the man right now, watch over him. And from the looks of him, it seemed they both needed to eat.

Watari: Hesitantly, Watari took it, wishing that he was half as forgiving as Tatsumi seemed to be. He looked down and hid behind his hair.

Tatsumi: "I told you it's all right now."

Watari: "S-sorry..." He resisted the urge to ask to be held again. "I'm just... shaken up... in the head still..." Because his mind was his strongest asset, and it had been compromised. Threatening his very existence.

Tatsumi: Tatsumi understood, placing a hand on Watari's should in a silent offer if he needed it. Wanted it. "I'm here. I'll help you all you want." Why weren't his own images the demon made him relive troubling him?

Watari: Watari was silent for a long, long time... then suddenly he spoke. "He...."

Tatsumi: A light squeeze to Watari's shoulder, encouraging him.

Watari: "...He looked in my mind... and split it open, like a bad walnut..... He laughed at me..." .

Tatsumi: "I know." Tatsumi said quietly. "He managed to do the same thing to me." Though he felt it wasn't as bad as Watari's case.

Watari: ".....he showed me," Watari's voice was hitched with emotion, thick. "Showed me.."

Tatsumi: Silent, listening.

Watari: "Nothing!" Watari finally burst out. "N-nothing but.. a few.. flashes.. not even glimpses.. just...nothing! A-and he..kept laughing because .. he knew and I didn't..." The fact that the demon also fictionalized parts of his life went unsaid.

Tatsumi: And he brought Watari to his chest again, holding him as memories, Watari's memories flashed through his mind. He really did almost break you...

Watari: Watari held to him like a rock among crashing waves. "I guess I've always been too.. too prone to make deals... doing things.. without thinking about the consequences..."

Tatsumi: "You are," he smiled. "Did you not stop and think about our loss?" My loss.

Watari: "No." Watari said quietly. "I was only looking at the gain."

Tatsumi: "That's the main thing that still upsets me. It would have hurt us all...."

Watari: "......" Watari didn't say anything. Just looked down.

Tatsumi: Tatsumi moved them apart, bringing a hand to force Watari's eyes on him. "Don't ever do such a stupid thing again, please." Don't ever scare me like that. Then he allowed himself to admit a little, "I thought, really thought, that I had lost you."

Watari: Watari nodded. "I.. I won't.. and.. I'm sorry..." I thought I was lost too...

Tatsumi: After a moment of staring at Watari, Tatsumi hooked a finger in the blonde's turtle neck hole, pulling down. Wanting to see if he still had the mark.

Watari: The mark was half gone, still there as an echo.

Tatsumi: Tatsumi made a small sigh of relief.

Watari: Watari rubbed at it, as though he might expunge the last of it from his skin that way. "...Maybe... it's a good reminder..."

Tatsumi: Unhooking his finger from the man's collar. "Maybe." he said looking into Watari's eyes, a reminder that the man needed rest and probably food. "I'll go inform Konoe of yo-.. our leaving."

Watari: Watari nodded. "Okay." Too tired to protest anything.

Tatsumi: He was going to tell Watari to just have a seat and wait for him, but he still didn't want the blond out of his sight. "Mind coming with me?"

Watari: "Ah.. no." Please don't let Kacho ask too many questions..

Tatsumi: "You can wait outside his office." Tatsumi offered, beginning to walk, closing his shirt, vest and jacket back up.

Watari: "Kay.."

.....

Tatsumi: Tatsumi stepped out of the office. quietly closing the door behind him before sending Watari a smile that meant they were both in the clear.

Watari: Tiredly, he smiled back, still looking far too haunted.

Tatsumi: He saw this, Tatsumi close to feeling the same. Close. For once, his need to put others before him came out to be a good thing. (Or so he thought.) "Anything you need to bring with you?"

Watari: He shook his head. "No.. 003's watching over the lab..."

Tatsumi: "Then you lead the way." Tatsumi said, set on taking care of the other.

Watari: Watari started walking, "But.. what about you?"

Tatsumi: "What about me? I'm fine."

Watari: He raised a brow and sent a piercing look his way, "Don't lie to me. No one is 'fine' after something like that."

Tatsumi: "My experience wasn't as bad what you went through."

Watari: His eyes flicked to one side, "How can you know?"

Tatsumi: Dammit. "You told me....remember?"

Watari: "...no... Did I?"

Tatsumi: "Well, earlier. It didn't play with my mind as much." A lie, but Watari really didn't need to know that.

Watari: "Oh..... I must be tired." He automatically leaned against Tatsumi's shoulder.. "'M just gonna teleport to my apartment.."

Tatsumi: "That's fine." he said softly, hooking an arm around Watari's.

Watari: The man closed his eyes and for a moment nothing happened. Then the world dissolved and reassembled itself in the shape of Watari's living room. "Really di'n't feel like walking up five flights.."

Tatsumi: Realizing he was supporting Watari now. "Understandable." He did a quick look around the apartment, then back to Watari. "Couch or bed?"

Watari: "Coooouch." It was closer.

Tatsumi: Tatsumi's arm hooked around his companion's and moved up to hold the man steady, his other wrapping around the waist, and then he walked them to the couch, tilting so that Watari could just slide onto it.

Watari: Watari slid onto it, almost melting really, his hands trailing down Tatsumi's arms as a countermeasure if he started falling too fast.

Tatsumi: When Watari's hands had slid into his own, Tatsumi curled his fingers around them momentarily before letting them fall.

Watari: "Tatsumi..." Was all he sighed as he settled into the crook of the couch. Thank you..

Tatsumi: Tatsumi smiled down at him, wishing him nothing but a peaceful sleep. He reached on the back of the couch where there was a blanket folded and he spread it out over Watari's legs and waist. He was unsure if he wanted to go fix something, assuming there was food, or if he just wanted to sit on the floor, against the couch.

Tatsumi: During the long time Watari had slept, not that he was complaining, Tatsumi had given himself a small tour of the apartment, which he cleaned, every where, then organized everything in the kitchen, swept, fixing himself something after, followed by him finally falling out in a chair in the living room where he fell asleep also.

Watari: When Watari woke up--twelve hours later--he felt a lot more rested than he should have. Pushing himself up, he noticed Tatsumi sleeping nearby. Oh. That didn't look comfy for his neck... Clutching the blanket around his shoulders, Watari ambled over to him and carefully, softly lifted his head, holding the man's neck in a position to combat the stiffness. As he stood there, holding Tatsumi's head he brushed the hair away from the man's face... wondering at how attracted and tempted by the man he still was, considering all that had happened.

Tatsumi: The touch caused him to open his eyes barely, looking up at Watari for a moment before closing them back again. Such a pleasant dream that was.

Watari: Watari let out a tense breath as the man closed his eyes again, prepared to stand there until time crashed down around their ears.

Tatsumi: Tatsumi woke up completely shortly after, and for some reason, he expected to look up into golden eyes when he did.

Watari: "Hi, um... you.. looked like your neck was going to be uncomfortable."

Tatsumi: "Hm?" He sat up some. "Oh, I see. Thank you." Tatsumi turned to look back up at him. "There's pasta for you in the kitchen if you're hungry." It had been all he could find.

Watari: "Ah, thank you.." His original plan had been a bowl of cereal, but he certainly didn't want Tatsumi to feel slighted. Or offended. (Never mind the fact that his cooking was AWESOME!) "...Thank you." For staying.

Tatsumi: A small smile. "How did you sleep?"

Watari: "Well enough." He made his way to the kitchen.

Tatsumi: Tatsumi decided to move from the chair to the couch, thinking Watari wouldn't mind since he'd had a 12 hour sleep. (Right, it was dark now.)

Watari: "Feel free to take the bed." He called, moving around in the kitchen. He punched something into the microwave and shut the door.

Tatsumi: "I'm fine." He didn't plan on sleeping anyway. He just wanted to lie down.

Watari: Watari took his plate out of the microwave, "You sure?" He started shoving down pasta.

Tatsumi: "Yes." And he was only resting his eyes.

Watari: "There's more room for your legs on the bed." He pointed out. "And you'll probably be more comfortable."

Tatsumi: Tatsumi didn't give a response this time, pretending to be asleep. He kept silent, listening to Watari's movements in the kitchen.

Watari: "Don't make me carry you." He warned around a mouthful of pasta.

Tatsumi: ~Silence~

Watari: A sigh. And then suddenly the couch was moving, trundling its merry way to the bedroom.

Tatsumi: Tatsumi shot up, standing on his hands and knees on the moving couch. "I'm not tired! Stop!" Dammit... He forgot... Watari could do that....

Watari: "I can't heeeeear yoooou." Watari said sweetly as it deposited the man on his flannel sheets.

Tatsumi: "WATARI!" was his faint cry.

Watari: "Yeeeeeeees?" The man was standing in his doorway, plate empty and with a smirk.

Tatsumi: "I'm not tired!" He huffed, attempting to get off of the bed. "Especially not after that!" Damn....couch.... (Never trust again.)

Watari: "Fine. Relax on the bed then."

Tatsumi: "No," he argued, ignoring the fact that he was in Watari's bedroom. He sat up from the bed.

Watari: "I can get you some tea or a book, or something.."

Tatsumi: "A newspaper would be nice." he admitted.

Watari: "Dibs on the crossword," Watari said as he went to go fetch it.

Tatsumi: Tatsumi followed now that Watari wasn't blocking the way out anymore.

Watari: Newsprint hit him across the chest lightly. "Here ya go."

Tatsumi: "Thank you." Tatsumi said gratefully, choosing to sit in the chair this time and not the couch.

Watari: Watari flopped down on the couch with a sigh.

Tatsumi: And Tatsumi began reading the paper without really seeing the print and what it was telling.

Watari: Watari simply sat... thinking. In quiet.

Tatsumi: Noticing the lack of writing, scribbling, Tatsumi turned to look at Watari and when he saw his expression, "Don't think too much into it."

Watari: "....."

Tatsumi: "Or at least... talk about it."

Watari: "...." Still thinking.

Tatsumi: Sighing, giving up, Tatsumi looked back to the paper, trying to read.

Watari: "What? I'm sorry? Did you say something? I didn't mean to ignore it."

Tatsumi: Rolling his eyes, Tatsumi turned to glare at Watari for a moment. "Are you thinking so deeply about that puzzle? Or something else?"

Watari: "Ah.. n-no.. not the puzzle.." He looked down at it and half-heartedly penciled in a word. Pencil.

Tatsumi: "Then what?" He tried, wanting Watari to talk about it.

Watari: Fidget. "....you." A pause. "I guess." Another pause. "Rishka too."

Tatsumi: "Rishka?"

Watari: Watari looked up, surprised, "Didn't it tell you his name?"

Tatsumi: ".....no."

Watari: "Oh."

Tatsumi: It was too busy trying to crack open my mind... which it...he, did. "Well, do continue."

Watari: "W-what?"

Tatsumi: "With what's on your mind. Don't carry it alone."

Watari: ".....I still.. still.. love you." He closed his eyes. "I wish I could take back what..." It was so hard not to say 'I did', "What Rishka made me do to you.."

Tatsumi: "I know." was all Tatsumi could say, and he said it gently. He was glad to hear Watari say "Rishka" and not himself. And he was glad... to hear the first part too. If anything, something came out of this experience.

Watari: "Gods.." Watari pressed his fingers to his face, almost hiding. "I can't even remember why I thought it was a good idea.."

Tatsumi: "For us." Tatsumi reminded him, standing up to bravely make his way over to the couch beside him.

Watari: "Right.." Watari whispered. There was another long moment of silence. "I.. I had a dream about him..." Several actually.

Tatsumi: "Rishka?"

Watari: A nod.

Tatsumi: Tatsumi was looking at him. "You can tell me..."

Watari: "....he.. It was still.... out there.. lurking.. waiting.. to get inside my mind again... I.. I know it was just a dream but..." A sigh. "I don't think I'll ever forgive myself..." And it hurt. Watari had never really carried that sort of guilt before now.

Tatsumi: "I understand." Tatsumi had felt unsettled by the demon as well, feeling that it was all too easy. Thus, his reason for being here. (Well, one of them.) If the demon did come back, it would come for Watari, and the shadow master would be sure to finish his job the next encounter.

Watari: "..... What did it say to you?" Watari asked, not wanting to sound... inquisitive, but concerned.

Tatsumi: "What do you mean?" It said many things.

Watari: "I mean, well, you tell me your story, I'll tell you mine." He wasn't sure he was looking forward to either account.. actually.. he wasn't looking forward to recounting the tale, but.. it was necessary.

Tatsumi: Tatsumi looked away, not really wanting to tell Watari. "Why?"

Watari: "I don't have a right to know what it did to you?"

Tatsumi: He looked down at his hands. "It... made me relive a few painful memories. Found my past interesting to say the least. Then it began to talk about you... because you were the pillar I was using through it all to keep me sane, steady."

Watari: Watari nodded tensely.

Tatsumi: "And then it showed me.... your past."

Watari: Watari jumped at that. "I-It!? A..all... of it? H-how much did you.. what did you see?"

Tatsumi: He met Watari's eyes, Tatsumi's expression gentle. "When you were a child... growing up."

Watari: Watari was searching the man's eyes, trying not to show it, but ... desperately hungry to know. "...and?"

Tatsumi: He didn't want to go into details of it... "And, though it hurt, to see you questioning your sanity, I remember that all I wanted was hold you," the last part said very quietly.

Watari: Watari closed his eyes, setting his forehead on Tatsumi's shoulder. "So.. it's true... or.. that part was... Did....." He swallowed, trying to work past the lump in his throat.

Tatsumi: An arm wrapped around Watari. I love you. he imagined himself telling the other. "Did...?" he urged Watari gently.

Watari: It was completely natural for Watari to slip his arms around Tatsumi's waist. "Did my mom...really.. put me away?"

Tatsumi: "She did what she was told was best." Tatsumi finally said, letting his head rest on Watari's.

Watari: Heavily, "I see... Thank you...And.. I'm sorry you had to see.."

Tatsumi: "My mother...." Tatsumi started, deciding to make the score even for them. "..I killed her..." Even though it was hard for him to put his past into words.

Watari: "Go on..." Watari squeezed him gently.

Tatsumi: "She was always unhappy... Even though I tried my best for her, she still...." Tatsumi squeezed back at Watari's hand. "I would sleep with her. I... would give her the illusion that I was him.... my father."

Watari: His heart squeezed in sympathy--almost breaking, "Oh Tatsumi... you.. poor thing.. you poor.. poor.." He'd seen all sorts of damage from comparing one family member to another.

Tatsumi: He hated this, but he continued. His hand squeezing Watari's rather hard now. "....I killed her when she called me by my name..."

Watari: Watari hugged him fiercely. "You are your own person Seiichiro Tatsumi, you are not a replacement for anyone else. Not of your father, and.. not for me... there.. there IS no replacement for you.. in my mind.."
"And I will do whatever it takes to make you believe that."

Tatsumi: Tatsumi let Watari hug him, sinking his face the man's neck, eyes clenched to keep those tears back--his reaction to hearing those words from loved one. Gods knew he needed it. And... this wasn't supposed to happen. He wasn't supposed to be the one who needed to be held.

Watari: And after hearing Tatsumi's past, Watari regretted more than ever his body's actions under Rishka's command. Still, he held Tatsumi all the more tightly, as though scared he'd suddenly decide he didn't want this, and then bolt.

Tatsumi: "I.... hate myself, Watari." He said when he meant to say thank you.

Watari: "So do I..." He smiled a crooked smile. "But if you let me.. I can.. maybe.. help you see.. why I love you... all of you..."

Tatsumi: "Please," he breathed, not knowing what he wanted. All his mind could register was Watari.

Watari: "I love you... because you're honest. Because you're attractive, because you're as stubborn as I am, because you put up with me, even when exasperated. You're devoted utterly to those you love, to the point where you set aside your own needs..."

Tatsumi: He smiled faintly, followed by a soft laugh. "I sound like a decent human being when you say it like that." He had yet to remove his head from Watari's shoulder.

Watari: He caressed the man, nervously placing light kisses around his temple, "I love you even when you're angry as all hell, I even love that little twitch you get in your jaw when you're really angry about severe overspending. Because you're the only person who's never called me 'crazy' to my face that I can remember... and meant it. Because you ARE a decent human being. Because your personality compliments mine so well, because I can hold intelligent conversation with you, and you pretend to understand the science that goes over your head and probably bores you..."

Tatsumi: His smile widened. "It's not boring, I promise you." The light kiss had felt refreshing to him and he did not object to it.

Watari: He shifted, fingers gently under Tatsumi's chin, lips brushing across the other's hairline. "Because you don't bite my head off when I sit on your desk or other furniture." He'd seen it happen to others who dared do the same, "Because.. you've tolerated my touch and presence.. when.. I'm so tempted... to take liberties I shouldn't. Because you haven't blamed me for this.. because you haven't demanded my notice or resignation.."

Tatsumi: "I don't like others sitting on my desk because you do. It would feel like they're taking something away if they did." He never pulled away from Watari. "I don't tolerate your presence, I want it." He didn't add how he wanted the man's touch, too.

Watari: Watari smiled and kissed down that handsome nose. "Because I need you. Because I want you.. Because... I love you." His lips closed down softly on that mouth, better than before, since this wasn't colored by a demon's taint.

Tatsumi: Tatsumi responded lightly, bringing his hands into Watari's hair, one nestled closely behind his ear, and the other gently holding the back of his head.

Watari: After a few moments, or maybe minutes Watari pulled back and rested their head together. "I don't care how long it takes.. I want you to see you're worth loving... I love you because you're also the only person who can confuse me, and the only one who can give me an erection while talking about financial reports and other bureaucratic nonsense. And I love the way you torment me at meetings.."

Tatsumi: He laughed lightly, looking into those eyes that he used to be scared to really... look into. "How do I torment you?" And he was so thankful that Watari was giving him what he needed to deal with this. Time. (Though he honestly felt it wouldn't take too long.)

Watari: "Just by being there.. sweeping your eyes around the room.. standing there for me to look at.. holding that pointer in your hands. (I love your hands too, by the way.) The way you can just.. snap me back to attention and reality with a word and a look." Watari smirked. "It really just goes on and on.."

Tatsumi: "I'm beginning to see that." Amused blue eyes.

Watari: "So even if you still.. continue to hate yourself.. I'll try and love you enough to make up for it."

Tatsumi: "Thank you." Tatsumi said, placing a soft kiss on Watari's lips-then amazed that he had done so. He wondered that if he began to speak about Watari... why he loved him... if the words would just come to him, like a river. (Probably.)

Watari: Watari smiled at him, taking all the weight with it. It may have been temporary, and probably was, but he was still feeling better, and more like himself... And perhaps slightly less depressed.

Tatsumi: Bravely, curiously, Tatsumi tried to part Watari's lips with his own.

Watari: Surprised, but willing, Watari complied, relaxing his jaw some, all the better to feel and taste the other man. (He tasted far too good.)

Tatsumi: His tongue danced over Watari's top lip in silent gratitude, tracing over the bottom of the teeth. He slowly sank his tongue into Watari's mouth, tasting the man fully, sucking in the other's breath.

Watari: And now.. I love you because you can take my breath away..make my heart stop and skip.. Watari responded, savoring the slow and sensual feel of everything.

Tatsumi: Tatsumi's finger tips traced up Watari's neck, then to his jaw where his fingers rested under Watari's chin, tiling his head back to give him a better angle.

Watari: Watari gave himself over, tongue sweeping at the bottom of Tatsumi's. (Somewhere in the back of his head he wondered, confusedly, how they'd arrived here.. at this place.) But it was quiet and unimportant, and very easy to ignore when more important things were at hand.. Like Tatsumi. Who was slowly, slowly taking him and practically drinking him in, like a fine wine to be savored.

Tatsumi: Just as slowly as he'd entered, Tatsumi pulled away, taking in another breath that was Watari's. Then would have been the perfect time to say it, those three words he knew he felt, but he couldn't. And what the hell else was there to be scared of? He knew he wanted this, wanted to say it, but the damn words kept getting caught in his throat. He didn't know it, but Tatsumi was trying to send the message through his eyes.

Watari: Small gasps punctuated his steady gaze, reading those
eyes... "Tatsumi..." He swallowed, "....do'you... like me too?"'

Tatsumi: He bowed his head, a laughing breath escaping him before he looked back up. "I don't kiss people I don't like."

Watari: "Don't dodge the question." Watari said sternly. And for that matter you kissed Rishka. He didn't dare say that out loud. "You know what I meant... You don't even have to say anything just.. nod your head yes or no.."

Tatsumi: Smiling, he nodded. "I do. I... really do."

Tatsumi: "I love you. I love the way you make the day brighter and more tolerable with your presence and smile. I love the way you enter my office just when I need you to because even though I don't show it, or try not to, I really need it. The warm aura you carry around with you every where, I need it. I love how you sit on my desk, asking for a raise or pay increase and the only reason that I don't crush you when you do ask is because I want you to come back. I always want you to come back."

Watari: "You make me sound like a decent person." He said half-mockingly. "Or at least not crazy."

Tatsumi: In the same manner. "Because you are a decent person and I'll do everything I have to in order to make you see that." All right, it hadn't been that hard... Painfully easy actually.

Watari: Watari smiled. Hearing Tatsumi say that.. made it all worth it actually. He certainly wasn't eager to do it all over again.. but it felt.. justifiable now.

Tatsumi: "Well," he breathed. "That's better." Tatsumi tapped Watari on the nose lightly. "I thought that would take me at least a week to say. And though I've already said this... Thank you, Watari."

Watari: "Thank /you / Tatsumi." That's thrice you've saved me now...

Tatsumi: "And..."

Watari: "And?"

Tatsumi: "If you ever make your couch do that to me again, I'll pummel you."

Watari: Watari laughed. Really laughed. He had to wipe his eyes and lean against Tatsumi. He wasn't sure why it was so funny.. but.. it was.

Tatsumi: "I'm... so glad you found that amusing." I was being serious! DX But really, he was glad for the other's laughter.

Watari: Watari continued to laugh, almost.. hysterical, but more cathartic.

Tatsumi: Alright... that's enough now... -_- Tatsumi continued to be still and silent as Watari continued laughing.

Watari: It started to die, but Watari just couldn't help himself. It was the first thing he'd had to laugh about after a few days of hell.

Tatsumi: Thus why Tatsumi didn't bother to stop him. He even allowed himself to smile a little.

Watari: Which allowed Watari to speak some. "Hee hee hee, you're smiling!" He pointed out cheerfully before falling into another fit of laughter.

Tatsumi: The more Tatsumi tried not to, the harder it became. "It's... because of you. You're laughing..." It made him smile.

Watari: Watari smiled all the more. "See! You do love me then."

Tatsumi: "Yes. I do."

Watari: "Then come here and kiss me fool." Watari's voice was filled with suppressed laughter.

Tatsumi: "Fine, I dare you to laugh then." Tatsumi said playfully, the threat still there though, as he took Watari's lips roughly at first and then gently.

Watari: And Watari had chuckled at first, against the kiss, but that faded quickly enough, the kiss still somehow tinged with his amusement.

Tatsumi: "I know you're fighting not to." Tatsumi said against his lips, not able to find his own amusement in this.

Watari: "Sorry," Watari mumbled back. "'Sall out. I promise."

Tatsumi: "Better be." he growled, sneaking his tongue into Watari's hot mouth. (Though he really could settle with just tasting the man's lips.)

Watari: A quirk of a smile, then he thrust back with his own tongue, and it was like dragging sandpaper across metal, creating sparks.

Tatsumi: Tatsumi gasped into the kiss, Watari's forceful tongue a pleasant surprise. The secretary played back, trying to pin that tongue.

Watari: Bumps raised all along his arms. And Watari clutched at Tatsumi a little tighter. He'd never been so aware... so in tune to anyone else before. .

Tatsumi: Tatsumi played with Watari's tongue a little more, teasing the muscle for several seconds, before running his tongue across the top of Watari's mouth.

Watari: A gasp, and then a heavy sigh. Where oh where had Tatsumi learned to kiss like this? More teasing, and though he'd meant to draw a moan out of Tatsumi, he ended up drawing one out of himself.

Tatsumi: The sound a beautiful tune to his ears and though he would've loved to have heard more... he needed to breathe. (He was still new to this.)

Watari: Which was just as well anyways. Watari had been about to part as well, breathing heavier, face flushed from the rush of blood.

Tatsumi: Tatsumi tilted his head at the sight, smiling.

Watari: He braced his hands on the man's shoulders. "...Ha." He started to chuckle again.

Tatsumi: And Tatsumi sighed, bracing himself for another outburst of laughter.

Watari: But it didn't come, Watari simply shook his head. "Sorry.. just.. thinking how.. how..." There wasn't really a word for it. "...lost I am to this. It's so ridiculously romantic and corny but, after that.. I'm yours now. Forever. I just can't fight it." As if he ever really had..

Tatsumi: "I'm glad to hear that." he smiled, kissing above Watari's brow.

Watari: ".....I don't think I thanked you properly." He said suddenly. "For saving me, even though it was my own damn fault."

Tatsumi: Properly? "It's fine."

Watari: "No I mean it." Watari said seriously. " Thank you."

Tatsumi: Tatsumi nodded, "Anytime." he, for some reason, whispered.

Watari: And Watari seemed as relaxed as he could ever be. Circling his arms loosely around the other man's middle, he leaned his head against Tatsumi's chest, letting his muscles lose some of their tension.

Tatsumi: Tatsumi's arms circled around Watari as well. "I'm tired now." he admitted.

Watari: Watari nodded. "Me too.." He hadn't even been up all that long! DX

Tatsumi: And that made a thought occur. "I'll... take the couch." The damn.... damn couch....

Watari: "Nonsense. You're my guest. You take the bed."

Tatsumi: "You're taking the bed, too." Tatsumi stated in case it wasn't already clear.

Watari: "...You don't mind sharing it?"

Tatsumi: "Not if you don't."

Watari: "No, no. Not at all. It's big enough, two people should fit comfortably...." There was a lingering 'but' in the air.

Tatsumi: Tatsumi felt it, too. "But?"

Watari: He whispered, "What if I'm....tempted? What if..... it happens again...?"

Tatsumi: "Rishka, you mean?"

Watari: "N.. no I mean.. just.. what if I... force you again...?"

Tatsumi: "You think you would force me?"

Watari: "Stranger things have happened..." Watari looked away.

Tatsumi: "I don't think you'd have to worry about forcing someone who may be willing."

Watari: Watari flushed at that. "Th-that's okay.. I.. I just want to be near you, for now." He needed time to deal with that memory.

Tatsumi: Tatsumi made the first move of getting up, having to untangle himself with Watari first.

Watari: Watari stood up, blinking as he waited for his vision to clear. (He'd stood up a little too fast.) Then he motioned to the bathroom. "Y'kin take a shower or something if you like.. um, I think I have a spare toothbrush or two under the sink somewhere.."

Tatsumi: All sounded nice. "I'll take that offer, thank you." Tatsumi probably wasn't looking his best. (Unless the demon had him take a shower...)

Watari: "Towels in the cupboard. Washcloths right next to 'em.."

Tatsumi: Tatsumi smiled, nodding his thanks, heading in the direction of the bathroom. He knew where everything was due to his earlier self serving tour he had while Watari was asleep.

Watari: Watari moved to his bedroom, digging through his clothes, searching for something to accommodate the other man, so he didn't have to sleep in his suit again... or.. (gulp) walk around naked.

Tatsumi: Tatsumi was already treating himself to the shower.

Watari: Watari had managed to find SOMETHING. Finally. A shirt that was too large for him, but he'd never gotten around to taking back to the store. and a pair of loose-fitting shorts that could serve well enough for boxers.

Tatsumi: Tatsumi had let himself have a nice hot shower(different from his normal... "just warm" showers) and the water pressure felt amazing. He finished quickly, and was now brushing his teeth, a towel wrapped securely around his waist.

Watari: Watari had shoved his hair into a shower cap. Just wanting a quick rinse off, not having the energy to do anything else. Not even braid his hair.

Tatsumi: When Tatsumi came out, he raised a brow at Watari's shower cap before making his way to the bed where he assumed the clothes set out were for him to use. "Thank you." he said, looking the garments over.

Watari: "Mmhmm.. No problem." Watari made his way to the bathroom. Had he been alone.....well.. He probably wouldn't have been making the effort to get into the shower.

Tatsumi: When it was clear, Tatsumi changed into the clothes Watari had set out for him, after observing and feeling them. (He was rather fond of the shirt.) After that, Tatsumi had made himself at home to laying on Watari's (soft!) bed. And gods, he felt like he could've fallen asleep right then.

Watari: Watari was back after eight or nine minutes, dressed in his PJ's, hair slightly damp around the ends. He pouted... "You're on my side of the bed." He protested before crawling in anyways.

Tatsumi: "Then we both sleep on the same side of the bed it would seem." he said, making no effort to move. "And besides, I'm the guest."

Watari: "Hmph. Details details.. get under the covers, fool."

Tatsumi: Tatsumi sent Watari a (you could call it playful) glare and then did so, getting under the covers.

Watari: "G'night..." Watari said softly... almost as though he was awed to have another presence in his bed after.... so long.

Tatsumi: Tatsumi who was almost feeling the same sensation, moved from on his side to rest on his back, quietly telling Watari, "Good night."

Watari: "I should warn you.. I tend to move in my sleep. I might hit you or something. Sorry." His hand quietly searched out Tatsumi's, holding to it softly.

Tatsumi: Normally he would have replied with an answer of, "Then I shall hit you back." but when Watari's hand found his, the remark melted away, leaving him with the words, "I'll manage."

Watari: "I bet you snore, don't you?" Watari teased, squeezing those fingers lightly.

Tatsumi: "I don't know. You can tell me in the morning." He teased back.

Watari: "Fine. Go to sleep so I can find out if you do or not." Watari smiled.

Tatsumi: "Shouldn't take long." he answered honestly. This bed... was very comfortable. Tatsumi was already relaxed with his eyes closed, Watari's hand still around his. (A pleasant way to fall asleep, he had to admit.)

Watari: "Yeah..." Watari said softly, his own lids feeling heavy.

Tatsumi: It was funny, almost. It was so tempting to fall asleep, but something didn't allow him to. (At least he felt relaxed and rested some what.) Tatsumi was awake the whole night, maybe falling asleep for an hour and a half tops. But... thanks to Watari... he had woken back up. Ah... ow. How did he manage to... kick me?!

Watari: Watari wasn't aware of it at all, and when he woke up... he was clinging to the man, and he felt dried salt on his face from tears... shed in his sleep. "Nuh... sorry." Watari released the man. He didn't remember his dreams at all..

Tatsumi: Tatsumi hadn't noticed, and couldn't see because of the room still being dark, but he could hear it in Watari's voice. He brought the hand in his closer, to his chest, saying softly, "It's fine. I don't mind."

Watari: Watari nestled comfortably against the man, "Mm.. wanna just sleep until the end of time and blow off work for the next few thousand centuries?"

Tatsumi: "Just sleep?"

Watari: "Mm." Watari nodded.

Tatsumi: "As tempting as that is," Tatsumi smiled, "I don't think that would be good for your already bad posture."

Watari: "Hmpf. Spoilsport." Watari mumbled. Then, "I can make an omelet for breakfast.."

Tatsumi: Tatsumi fought back a yawn. "It is an omelet, right?"

Watari: Watari nodded, "What else would it be?"

Tatsumi: He nodded, not answering that question. "Sounds good then."

Watari: Watari lingered in the bed for another few minutes and then got up, humming tunelessly as he went to the kitchen.

Tatsumi: And before he fell back asleep, Tatsumi got up as well, going to the bathroom to wash his face with cold water.

Watari: Omelets don't take too long to make, fortunately. So in less than twenty minutes, there were two warm omelets on a pair of plates, covered in freshly grated cheddar cheese after the fact. (Watari found he preferred his toppings AFTER cooking the egg and not before.)

Tatsumi: Tatsumi entered the kitchen, his hair down-much to his dismay, changed into his own pants, but still wearing Watari's shirt. (The upside to his hair being down was that maybe they hid the tired look in his eyes.)

Watari: "Morning." Watari said again, sounding more awake. "Breakfast is served, what would you like to drink?"

Tatsumi: Something strong. "Juice." He answered, hoping the man had some. Tatsumi's first thought had been to go over and hug Watari from behind.... but he didn't. (Where on earth had that impulse come from?) He walked over to the omelets, feeling hungry at the sight of them.

Watari: Watari handed him a plate, and fished out a couple of forks. "You can eat where ever really.. Orange juice or grapefruit juice?"

Tatsumi: Tatsumi nodded his thanks in receiving breakfast. "Depends on where you sit to eat.... And orange juice."
Watari: "Kay." Watari was already at the fridge. He poured some grapefruit juice for himself and orange juice for Tatsumi. "You get the special glass of honor." He smiled, and handed Tatsumi a clear plastic cup with a red and black border around the top and bottom.. Mickey Mouse silhouettes. "I usually stand by a window when I eat breakfast." He admitted.

Tatsumi: Tatsumi raised a brow as he stared at his "special" glass. It... didn't surprise him that much when he thought about it. "Enough room for two?" Tatsumi finally asked with a small smile, regarding the window.

Watari: "Sure." Watari smiled, feeling.. happy. A nice feeling after all that had happened. He grabbed his plate and stood by it, looking down at the street below, at the miniaturized cars and people.
Tatsumi: Tatsumi focused on clouds, that weren't many, occasionally glancing at Watari as he ate his first breakfast by Watari. (And glad to share it with the man, too.)
Watari: Watari alternated between sips of grape juice, making a slight face now and then at the sourness, and shoving cheese-smothered egg in his mouth. He didn't look at Tatsumi at all, instead he felt him, sensed him, especially when their shoulders brushed. The whole right side of his body tingled warmly as Tatsumi stood next to him.
Tatsumi: In-between his quick glances, Tatsumi could tell that Watari was as rested as he was. (He seemed so on the outside, at least.) He looked back outside and was able to catch a glimpse of pink still in the sky from the sunrise.
Watari: "Are we..." Watari suddenly broke the silence, "Are we going back to work today?"
Tatsumi: "You don't have to, but I might... Unless you'd prefer I stay here." After a long period of nothing happening, Tatsumi felt safer with the thought of the demon truly being dead.
Watari: "I.. I should go back to work. My birds are probably worried about me.." Watari mumbled around his omelet.
Tatsumi: "Are you sure?" You don't sound too sure. I could probably check up on them for you....
Watari: "I'm sure." He said in the same sort of voice.
Tatsumi: He'd felt like discussing the matter further, but Tatsumi instead said gently, "I'll be there with you."
Watari: Watari nodded quietly... And decided he was finished with breakfast.
Tatsumi: Tatsumi also decided he was finished with breakfast. Smiling, he offered to take Watari's plate and glass, (not too difficult for him, even with his own plate and glass). "Go get ready. I can take care of this."
Watari: "Thanks." Watari said, handing him the plate, finishing off his juice quickly.
Tatsumi: Tatsumi was quick with his task, setting away the food they hadn't eaten (Maybe Watari could give it to a bird?), washing and drying their dishes and then putting them away.
Watari: Watari came back out of his room. He'd changed into his usual sort of outfit. His socks didn't match, but other than that, he appeared presentable.
-----
Watari: It was mid-morning, and Watari strode into Tatsumi's office, carrying a cup of coffee for the man. "Hey there handsome, I brought you a little 'pick-me-up'!"
Tatsumi: "Thank you." Tatsumi looked up with tired eyes, smiling. "And you brought coffee." (It was a small attempt at teasing.... and regarding the other man's response would decide if he ever did it again.)
Watari: Watari smiled warmly teasing right back, "Flatterer." But he seemed pleased all the same as he set it down on the desk.
Tatsumi: Tatsumi had felt completely drained the minute they arrived at work. And the taste of coffee was starting to make him feel like gagging now. He took the cup of coffee, though, taking a slow sip of the warm liquid and forcing it down. (He wondered if the both of them were feeling the same.... and wearing a smile just for the other's sake.) "How has the day treated you thus far?"
Watari: "Pretty well for me. Except 003 is giving me the silent treatment. I think it's her revenge on me for ignoring her and leaving her in charge of my lab." (Really? Honestly? He was tired. And slightly nervous. But it was so easy to channel that into his usual energy and spunkiness.) "At least 002 and 1 still love me."
Tatsumi: "She'll get over it." he tried to encourage. "Or you could try to bribe her."
Watari: "Hmm, eventually. I think I should wait some until she cools down. I'm liable to get my fingers bitten off right now if I try that."
Tatsumi: "That angry, is she?"
Watari: Watari chuckled lightly, scratching the back of his neck, "Well, she doesn't take too kindly to being ignored. She is a woman after all."
Tatsumi: Now that Tatsumi thought about it, her attitude did make a little sense. She probably knew what was going on the whole time. Girl was just worried and now angry for her master not checking up with her. Well, it made sense to him. "Maybe Kurosaki could cheer her up. She seems to have taken a liking to him."

Watari: "Maybe." Watari agreed. "Just between you and me though, sometimes I wonder why I didn't just get a fish. Much simpler to take care of. And no beaks or talons."
Tatsumi: "A fish? That... wouldn't suit you at all...." Eye narrowed, trying to imagine just what the world would be like had Watari's pet fetish been fish.

Watari: "...I dunno. A catfish or one of them sunfish would be cool.. hm... Stinging whiskers and poison spines... maybe a fish wouldn't be safer.."

Tatsumi: "No, it wouldn't be.... I can just picture the fish's container exploding as a result to one of your experiments. Stick with birds." Tatsumi brought the cup in his hands back to his lips.

Watari: "Eeek.. you're probably right.... I think I will." He smiled. "Besides, I'm stuck with them now." Not that he really minded, honestly. Beak wounds and all.
Tatsumi: Ugh. Tatsumi placed the cup back down, deciding not to drink anymore coffee for a long while... (It was starting to make his stomach feel rough.) "Are you busy?" he asked suddenly.

Watari: Watari blinked, a little thrown by the question. "Um.. no... not really.."
Tatsumi: His fingers tapped on the desk's surface. "Why don't you stay here and help me? I'm a little behind on work." (Which was a lie, he was plenty behind. He'd probably be staying after work.) But in all honesty... Tatsumi started to feel uneasy again once they'd come to work and he was back to wanting nothing more than have Watari in his eye sight at all times.
Watari: Watari scrunched up his face. "Paperwork? That's boooooooring!" He hesitated, slightly lowering the mask of normalcy. "But... since you asked, I guess I could help you." Translation: It's my fault you got behind in the first place, so I'll help set it right.
Tatsumi: He offered a smile. "Well, not really paperwork." Tatsumi reached over to the side of his desk, pulling out a large(it was small in his eyes) stack of papers. "Would you type in the case numbers at the top of each page into the computer?" (The numbers went back as far back as a few years ago... Apparently someone had done something to the (not so well protected) document on the computer that had it all filed away.)
Watari: Watari took the stack, trying not to goggle at the sheer amount of papers. (Then again.. his own backlog was pretty impressive..) "Sure.. It'll go pretty quickly for me." And if 003 had still been speaking with him it would have gone MUCH faster. (As she could have switched the papers of the pile.) "Gimme two.." He felt the weight of the stack, "Okay, maybe four hours--at most--and this should all be done."

Tatsumi: His smile brightened. (A hint of "I'm so glad you didn't try to put up a fight." in his smile.) "Excellent, thank you. I'll treat you to lunch later." he said, turning back to his own work. (And by "treat", Tatsumi had meant that the two of them would go to the break room and enjoy lunch together, he taking the role as "host" and doing everything for the two of them.)

Watari: Watari perked up at that offer. "Sounds like a good deal. Scooch," He gave a gentle order while pulling up a chair so he could sit at Tatsumi's computer.

Tatsumi: Tatsumi rolled to the side some in his chair, giving them both enough room to work around each other. Pen in hand(and coffee aside), he started finishing out a form in front of him. "A good deal indeed. You get to spend the day with me and join me for lunch." he said, looking at Watari through the corner of his eye, a small smile on his face.

Watari: Watari smirked at that. "Are you trying to say that I normally shirk my duties or something?"

Tatsumi: "I am not." His eyes were focused on his work now, but his lips were still in the form of that small smile. Not to mention he really did feel better now.

Watari: His fingers worked at lightning speed, his elbow occasionally brushing or bumping into Tatsumi's. "I think you are." A small, small smile. Typetypetypetpe---flip---typetypetypetype---flip--typetypetypetype...

Tatsumi: And apparently Tatsumi didn't just enjoy typing, but he found the sound of it relaxing as well. "I should put you to work in here more often." he said, taking note to how quickly Watari was going through the papers. "I think I will. Next time I catch you napping."

Watari: The man made a face, "Psh. You just want me in here so...." The dirty comment he'd had lined up died on his tongue, but he quickly covered it up with another jibe, "So you can just yell at me about my productiveness and work me to the bone."

Tatsumi: "Maybe. Or maybe because with you in here, I have a better chance of getting to leave on the hour."
Watari: "Ha. Doubtful." Typeage... "You forget my chatterbox tendencies and quick-to-change attention span."

Tatsumi: "You forget who's sitting beside you and sure to have you working on the given task."

Watari: Typetypetype, "Well.. can't fight one's nature.."

Watari: 003 was sitting in the lab... unnaturally still. Yes she was angry at her master for not listening to her. Yes she was upset at being left alone.. but that didn't account for why 001 and 002 were avoiding her. The small owl flew out the open window, making her way towards the library.
Watari: As Watari wasn't facing the window, he didn't see his small companion make her way across the grounds.
Tatsumi: Tatsumi worked beside Watari, talking, chatting..... about nothing of importance. But it was comforting.
Watari: At one point, Watari stopped to massage his wrist, rotating it gently.
Tatsumi: "Why don't you take a break." A five minute break which Tatsumi was beginning the count down immediately in his head.
Watari: Watari shook his hand, "No, I'm fine.."
Tatsumi: He continued working, silently, until his pen died. This actually upset the man, this pen being his best one... And he was sure you couldn't buy them anymore. It was a thin pen, silver, with a fine black ink. And now it was dry. Tatsumi placed the pen down, tilting his body close to Watari. "Move over some..." he said, hand around the handle of his desk drawer.
Watari: Watari obliged, in a sort of contrary fashion, moving closer to the man.
Tatsumi: Suddenly remember just what else he kept in that drawer, Tatsumi opened it slightly, enough to slip his hand in and sneak out a pen.
Watari: Watari noticed this, "Hey, hey, what's hidden in there that you wanna keep secret?" He smiled, poking the man.
Tatsumi: Tatsumi retrieved a pen and closed the drawer. "Nothing. Only supplies."
Watari: "Uhh huhhh.." Watari said, clearly not believing. "Lemme see!" His hand shot out to the door handle.
Tatsumi: Tatsumi was quick to grab that wandering hand by the wrist. "Curiosity can get you in trouble." His eyes were sharp when he looked at Watari, but his voice held no real threat.
Watari: Watari pouted. "Pleeeease? I won't tell anyone!"
Tatsumi: "It's nothing important." he tried to tell the other, still holding that wrist.
Watari: "Then why can't I seeeeeeee it?"
Tatsumi: Dammit. "It's obviously something I don't want to share..."
Watari: "But whhhhy?" He was unaware of his whiny tone. "It surely can't be that bad can it?"
Tatsumi: "I don't care to find out." Tatsumi admitted, his body temperature rising some.
Watari: "Pleasepleasepleasepleaaaaaaaaaaase?" That Kansai accent was... very insistent.
Tatsumi: "Watari...." Now his was begging slightly. (He felt he would break if this kept up.) "If you're so insistent on seeing what's inside, do it when I'm not around then."
Watari: "But that would be dishonest and an invasion of your privacy!"
Tatsumi: His eyes narrowed. "Is it now?"
Watari: (Eep!) "Well.. yes." He smiled.
Tatsumi: Tatsumi smiled back. "You can see what hidden inside some other time." Had he really just said that?! "For now, bring it up again, or if I see you reaching for that drawer, I'll make it so you only have one hand to type with." His smile never faltered. (And still, his voice didn't hold any real threat in it.)
Watari: A pout. "Yessir..." He sighed. "But you better make good on that promise! The first one.. that is."
Tatsumi: He chuckled. "I promise you." Tatsumi said, releasing Watari's wrist with trust.
Watari: Watari sighed again and went back to typing. "The things I do for love..."
Tatsumi: His expression softened, smiling at Watari as the blond went back to work.
Watari: Typetypetype, flip, typetypetypetype....it was almost hypnotic..
Tatsumi: Tatsumi couldn't help but glance down at that drawer from time to time, mentally kicking himself for not taking "it" out during all this time. And why had he said Watari could see? (Well, it wasn't that big of a situation.) But it would still be fairly embarrassing for Tatsumi.
Watari: In the back of his head, between numbers and paper cuts and keystrokes, Watari couldn't help but wonder what might be in there. Oh well... it was something Tatsumi would reveal in his own time he supposed... No point in pushing it and making a big deal about it.
Tsumi: Everyone must be busy. Tatsumi thought, enjoying the peace with no interruptions. He glanced at the clock. Or their on break. Tatsumi worked a few more minutes, before he was able to find a stopping a point. (He hated this new pen, by the way.) "Ready for a break?" he asked Watari next to him.
nudist!Watari: Typetypetypetypetypetypetype---flip---typetypetypetypetypetype---flip---typetypetypetypetypetype---flip---typetypetypetypetypetype---flip---typetypetypetypetypetype---flip---typetypetypetypetypetype---flip---typetypetypetypetypetype---No response...
Tsumi: Tatsumi stared off at the other man for a while. " Watari?"
WatariAFK: Typetypetypetypetypetypetype---flip---typetypetypetypetypetype---flip---typetypetypetypetypetype---flip---typetypetypetypetypetype---flip---typetypetypetypetypetype---flip---typetypetypetypetypetype---flip---typetypetypetypetypetypetypetypetypetypetypetypetypetypetype....
Tsumi: Being ignored was definitely annoying. Still... Tatsumi reached out and carefully placed his hand on Watari's shoulder. "You can stop now."
Watari: Watari jumped a little at the sudden contact, fingers accidentally mashing a few extraneous keys. "Wah! Oh.. Tatsumi.. sorry. Didn't hear you there."
Tatsumi: "I noticed." Tatsumi was looking in his eyes, searching for any sign of stress. "Something the matter?"
Watari: "No, no." Watari shook his head, blond curls that had escaped from his hair tie flying. "Just.. zoned out kinda. Y'know.. like watching a dryer at the laundromats."
Tatsumi: That was an odd response. Why would someone...? "Are you ready for a break?"
Watari: "Yeah sure," Watari replied cheerfully, rolling his neck. "I think I'm feeling kinda hungry, now that I think about it."
Tatsumi: Tatsumi smiled in response, getting up from the desk and putting away the papers that Watari had already finished with. "You're getting this done rather quickly..." he commented. I might have to find something else to keep you busy,
Watari: Watari worked his hands again and stretched in the chair. "Well," he said with a slight yawn, "I am a pretty fast typist."
Tatsumi: "I should hand you some of my work more often then." he grinned, stepping closer to the door.
Watari: Watari stood, getting to his feet. "Slacker," he cheerfully accused the man.
Tatsumi: "Funny," he replied in dry humor, standing next to the door. (A silent gesture of, "You're stepping out first.")
Watari: With a smile, and a crick of his back, Watari made his way over, and stepped out of Tatsumi's office.
Tatsumi: And Tatsumi closed the door behind them before they made their way to the break room.
Watari: Watari smiled at Hisoka and Tsuzuki, who were sitting at one end of the table, Hisoka half-way through a salad, the latter starting on a large piece of chocolate cake. "Hey Kid, hey Tsuzuki."
Tatsumi: Tatsumi had walked in after Watari, and felt a little joy at seeing Tsuzuki and Hisoka. (Now that he'd thought about it, he hadn't seen the two in a while. He didn't run into them this morning.) "Taking a break together are we?"
Watari: Tsuzuki nodded, mouth stuffed with dark, gooey crumbs. "MMhmm! I fihally ghot Ishoka here t'take a luncch break!" A swallow, "I was huuuuungry!" The empath shot an annoyed look at him from over his 'rabbit food',
"Don't talk with your mouth full Tsuzuki. That's disgusting."
Watari: "The kid's right you know Tsuzuki. I don't need to see the workings of your digestive system thanks." The blonde smiled and sat down at the other end of the table, so that he could talk to them without standing. (Since that was rude.) Hisoka was looking at the two of them blankly for a moment... then.... "How've you two been!?" Tsuzuki asked brightly. Watari smiled all the wider. "Fine thanks." I swear those two are telepathic...
Tatsumi: Tatsumi walked past them to retrieve the lunch he'd brought for him and Watari. (Not that he knew he'd be eating lunch with the other, just that working with Tsuzuki, one knows to bring more food.) He had stopped by his house to pick it up, so it wasn't anything special... In fact... They were sandwiches. Being possessed for a few days, things left overs in his fridge wouldn't be any good by now. So, he'd fixed up something quick for today.
Watari: Hisoka merely glared at the scientist, giving him his patented 'you're lying' stare. Watari simply smiled. "Something on my face Bon?"
Tatsumi: (At least this wasn't something that required being heated.) Tatsumi came back by the table, setting the lunch down, a plate with four sandwiches on top. He left again to get them tea. (Seeing none out from Tsuzuki and Hisoka's meal.)
Watari: "....no." The boy said slowly. Tsuzuki tilted his head, guessing (correctly) that something was bothering his partner. He questioned the younger without words. Hisoka warded it off (for the moment) with a look. Watari gave a sigh at the display of non-verbal communication. Simply amazing... like watching the mating dance of cranes.. (A small, small part underneath the surface of his consciousness wondered if he and Tatsumi would ever be like that.) Judging by the sudden flush on the boy's face, he'd caught the drift of Watari's sentiments. "I am not one of your damn birds Watari!!" He hissed, earning a quizzical stare from his partner.
Tatsumi: Tatsumi was barely paying attention to the three of them, having his own thoughts. (Though in all honesty, he was trying to focus on those around him to keep his "sprit up.") He came back with warm tea for him and Watari. Sitting down, he felt like he'd just walked in on something.
Watari: "You never answered me Tatsumi," Tsuzuki said, "How've you been?"
Tatsumi: He looked up, surprised. (When had Tsuzuki first asked??) "I'm sorry." he quickly apoligized. "I've been busy," was his short and simple answer. "But... other than that, I've been fine."
Watari: Hisoka looked like he'd eaten raw vinegar at that. "Something the matter Bon?" Watari asked sweetly while reaching for a sandwhich.
Tatsumi: Blue eyes glanced over at the youth. (Tatsumi really needed to get it together... Had Hisoka sensed something? Him?)
Watari: "Yes." The youth spat out bitterly, at long last, "You both feel like you've gone through hell." A heavy, heavy silence fell, and even Tsuzuki stopped the process of mutilating his cake.
Tatsumi: Silence never bothered Tatsumi as long as it wasn't between him and only one other person. So, he picked up a sandwich as well, eating in the silence.
Watari: Watari avoided the (mostly) unasked question, and simply ate his sandwich. Pretending to be deaf seemed to be the way to go. Hisoka glared at the two further, fuming silently. How dare they cover something like this up!? And how dare they not ask for help? How dare they try and lie that such a thing had never happened!? (And oh gods... he'd been spending too much time with Tsuzuki if he was starting to think like that..)X)
Tatsumi: And Tatsumi continued to eat, avoiding eye contact. But after some time, he felt the silence wasn't good and he decided to break it. Looking for something to say in this sort of situation was hard, but it took only one glance at Tsuzuki and, "Clean your face, Tsuzuki."
Watari: The purple-eyed one did as he was asked, still staring at the two of them. When he set the napkin down he hesitantly said, "Hey... what.. what did Hisoka mean..? I mean.. did something... happen?" Watari had to fight not to tear his sandwich in half. As it was, the imprints of where his fingers had been had ripped through the bread.
Tatsumi: Tatsumi felt it wasn't his place to say, if there was even anything to tell. He quietly took a sip of his tea, eyes never leaving those amethyst orbs, a silent plea to not press the matter further.
Watari: "Tatsumi...? ....Watari?" Tsuzuki tried again, and Watari simply bit through his sandwich harshly, almost like a wolf would. Hisoka crossed his arms,
"You know.. aren't you always going on about honesty and friendship and opening up to others and all that?" Watari ignored him. Tried to. "You let us confide in you Watari- san, why should we though, if you don't do the same? Why are you hiding this from your so-called 'friends'." Watari had started to flinch at the cold tone. The boy had ruthlessly struck many a nerve. Tsuzuki let out a hushed,
"Hisokaaaaa."
Watari: "I'm a hypocrite." Watari moved his muscles into a smile, before continuing to eat his sandwich, staring intently at the table.
Tatsumi: Tatsumi sent Hisoka a sharp look simply for the fact that the boy was upsetting Watari. But he understood. And yet, it angered him to have something he, they, had tried to avoid all day at work ....be brought up... and while eating. On break. So no, he didn't care how the other took his harsh stare. Tatsumi placed a hand on Watari's arm, not pressuring him, but encouraging if he needed it.
Watari: "'Soka..." Tsuzuki said softly. "He.. he didn't really mean it Watari..." Green eyes narrowed.
"I don't see why I should trust liars." The boy got up with that, and left to go to his office, "I'll see you guys around." And then that left the three of them. Tsuzuki, Tatsumi, and Watari.
Tatsumi: After sending Tsuzuki a small smile, a small sign, trying to tell him that it would all pass, Tatsumi looked to Watari who was silent. His hand was still placed on the blonde's arm, and he tilted his head to get a view of the man's face.
Watari: "He's.. he's really just concerned Watari." Tsuzuki tried again, "He's just... not the best at.. showing it..." Watari made a noise of understanding.
Tatsumi: His eyes narrowed now, wanting some kind of response from Watari, but not really knowing how to approach him.
Watari: "I.. I'm gonna go.. talk with him..." Tsuzuki stood up awkwardly and then left, abandoning half of his cake slice.
Tatsumi: When the man had left, Tatsumi felt a little more free to speak. But it was still difficult. (This was Watari...) Bravely, the secretary removed his hand and wrapped it around the blond by the shoulder.
Watari: Watari twisted without a word, and held to Tatsumi. Saying, without so much as a sound, 'I want to go home.'
Tatsumi: Tatsumi understood, answering Watari's earlier thought concerning if the two of them would ever have the same "silent communication" as Tsuzuki and Hisoka. (And this, oddly enough, made him think about how obssesed he was over his work. It was easy to give yourself into something like work when you were alone. Because right now, he really didn't give a damn if he ever stepped foot in this place again.) Tatsumi squeezed Watari lightly in his arm.
Watari: Unable to help himself, Watari transported them to his apartment, sitting on 'that damn couch' of his all of a sudden. "Tatsumi..." he said tightly, "I.. I..can't tell them..." Gods, how could he ever face Hisoka again if the boy knew!?
Tatsumi: 'And you don't have to.' were the words he wanted to say. But, and he knew Watari knew this too, they were just worried about them. And after this, saying they were "fine" just wouldn't do it. "They wouldn't have to know the details of it."
Watari: "But I broke the rules.." Watari whispered softly. "I put as all in terrible danger.. and then.. I.. I didn't tell anyone b-because I was too ashamed... and really scared... They.. they have a right to know.."
Tatsumi: He had to set something straight first. "Don't ever feel ashamed to come to any of us for help, Watari." When had he wrapped both of his arms around him? "They don't need to know now, though."
Watari: "....okay." He agreed with the second part, nodding against the other man.

Tatsumi: "Maybe you should take a few days off."

Watari: "..................maybe." It wasn't a solid agreement..

Tatsumi: "Or at least one day." he offered, nuzzling Watari's hair.

Watari: "Yeah.... I.. I think I'd like that.." He closed his eyes and focused in on Tatsumi, letting everything else go.

Tatsumi: Tatsumi let his weight fall on to the couch, bring the blond in his arms with him and forcing the others weight on him too. And suddenly, "In the drawer..." he started, "it was... one of the ribbons you use for your hair."

Watari: Watari blinked. "....when on earth did you get that?"

Tatsumi: "Roughly three months ago." he said casually. "Now before you go thinking I'm some sort of thief, I found it. And I knew it was yours right away." He was thankful the man was clinging to him.... hopefully his head would stay down. "I had meant to return it to you, but I'd kept forgetting. I kept it in that drawer, but since it was out of sight, it was difficult to remember I had to give it back to you."

Watari: Watari's lips stretched into a half-leering smile. "You're sweet.. You can go ahead and keep it if you like. I have plenty of spares.."

Tatsumi: "I had that in mind apparently..." he sighed. "I've remembered the blasted fabric being in there for the past two weeks and have just chose... to leave it in there."

Tatsumi: Oh, so I am a thief.

Watari: "Well it's a present now..." Watari arranged himself a tad bit more comfortably on the other man. He was feeling tired. And he was glad he didn't have to focus quite so much on pretending to be happy, right at that moment. (Though he was feeling much calmer now..)

Tatsumi: "I see." he smiled. "Thank you." He gently tugged the man closer to him.

Watari: "Heh.. you're welcome.." Watari squeezed him. "Where did you find it, out of curiosity?"

Tatsumi: "It was laying helpless and defensless in the hallway." Tatsumi was feeling better more happy now as well.

Watari: This made Watari snicker against the other's neck. "How chivalrous of you," he turned his head. Then he whispered in the man's ear. "My hero." His lips twitched again in a smile.

Tatsumi: He shuddered at the feel of Watari's breath against his ear, but he kept up the good humor. "Anytime."

Watari: "Hmmmmf." He was 'cuddling' now. "'M going to sleep now.. tired..." He yawned and closed his eyes, breathing softly against the man's ear still.

Tatsumi: Now he felt the other man was simply doing that on purpose. He ended up shuddering again, a small shiver running down his back. "You're going to sleep here ?" Not that he was in any hurry to rearrange them.

Watari: "Mmmhmm.." he said sleepily, "Stop shiv'ring you...."

Tatsumi: "Stop talking in my ear." He said, moving them a little so that he could get better situated. Who knew how long Watari would sleep? He wanted to be comfortable.

Watari: "'M not talking in your ear," Watari protested mullishly, right into the other man's ear.

Tatsumi: Gritting his teeth, Tatsumi tilted his head away from Watari. He settled back into the couch, the man in his arms, a hand smothing up and down his back, wishing him a good rest.

Watari: "'M not," he insisted sleepily again, lips brushing the shell of cartillage there. Grumble, grumble, mumble..

Tatsumi: He smiled despite himself... "You are too. And it drives me crazy." he whispered back.
Watari: "Hnf..harzi...blager...raggle..." His breath was still hitting that general area.

Tatsumi: "I'm warning you to stop." he said, slightly laughing.

Watari: A small noise, the barest of sounds.. and a sigh, pooling against that sensitive place on Tatsumi's cranium.

Tatsumi: That sent a large shiver through him, the man arching his back slightly. (This was a curse, he knew it.) Tatsumi then turned his head and placed his "revenge" on Watari, small peck on the cheek.

Watari: Another slightly contented noise.. but.. after that Watari was gone.. completely gone. Lost to his realm of restless, uneasy sleep. (And forgettable nightmares.)

Tatsumi: And Tatsumi was trapped beneath the other, not that that was a bad thing. He held Watari a little possesively while the other slept, like he was

Tatsumi: When Tatsumi woke, around seven hours or so later, the first thing he noticed was despite the unbelievably soft pillow under him, his head felt heavy. With a soft groan he flipped over, switching sides..... The scent he smelled in the room, on the bed, was familiar and distracting enough for him not to realize just where he was.
Watari: There was a plate on Tatsumi's beside table, with what looked like dinner on it. The white labcoat and yellow mass of hair next to him indicated that Watari had crawled back into bed. (There was an empty plate over on his side.)
Tatsumi: The sight of the other was all he neeed to remember. (Everything, unfortunately.) But he smiled over at Watari beside him anyway, sitting up. He didn't feel hungry, but the plate of food did look good.
Watari: Watari flipped over on his back, holding a book in his hands, "Finally up?"
Tatsumi: Rubbing at the corners of his eyes. "I think so. Sorry about that." he apologized, feeling like he had slept on duty.
Watari: "That's okay. Eat. You're probably half-starved." He flipped another page in his book.
Tatsumi: "Thank you." he said, meaning it in more ways than one. (And a little part of him, very small part, took note that was the first time for the two of them to wake up together in bed.) He took the plate, placing it over his lap.
Watari: Watari sighed and set his book down. "I get the feeling this is going to be a very long week..."
Tatsumi: He smiled, "It will be if you sit home with nothing to do."
Watari: "Who said I was going to do that?" He asked archly. As if to say, 'I dare you to tell me to stay home.'
Tatsumi: "No one." he said kindly, glancing down at his food. "Yet."
Watari: "Eat your dinner.." Watari said softly. And why did he also sense a pattern in the forming..?
Tatsumi: "Yes dear." Tatsumi answered, not daring to look at the other man to see his reaction if he had one. (The man was... still asleep, yes, still very tired. He wasn't right at the moment.)
Watari: "I made it just for you, honey." Watari shot back, still looking at his book. (Hiding embarresment and amusement.)
Tatsumi: And that did it. Tatsumi chuckled at the both of them before he started eating.
Watari: Watari snickered as well. "So how is it? Do I make a good wife?" He smiled over at the man.
Tatsumi: Tatsumi avoided that question. "It's good." he commented truthfully.
Watari: "Well finish up and then go back to bed.. work is in......About four hours."
Tatsumi: "Are you serious??" he turned to Watari.
Watari: "Yup.." Watari flipped a page in his novel, yawning.
Tatsumi: Tatsumi sighed, running fingers through his hair. The two of them had just left work... What would Konoe say? His eyes glanced over at Watari... Why did he care what they might say? Tatsumi began eating in silence, hoping he could fall back asleep when he was done.
Watari: Watari marked his page and set aside the book, curling up again, flipping over so he could face Tatsumi.
Tatsumi: And why did he feel paranoid all of a sudden? He continued eating his food slowly.
Watari: Watari didn't say anything, he just.. watched his bedmate eat. Finding it interesting to watch.
Tatsumi: "Enjoying yourself?" he asked, not looking away from his plate.
Watari: "Hmm.. I guess.. Really just waiting.."
Tatsumi: "For?" Another bite.
Watari: He smiled, "For you to finish obviously."
Tatsumi: "Because after that...." he started. (He was chewing his food a little faster than usual.)
Watari: "I was kinda hoping you'd hold me." He finished simply, still smiling.
Tatsumi: He smiled around a mouth full of food. Chewing, swallowing, "Why don't we say I'm finished then."
Watari: "Only if you really are," Watari said seriously.
Tatsumi: "I really am." He said honestly, "I didn't wake up with much of an appetite." Tatsumi began to move the plate aside.
Watari: The man smiled and held out an arm. "Come hold me then..."
Tatsumi: He didn't say anything as he scooted back into a semi laying position on the bed, taking Watari in his arms.
Watari: Watari returned the embrace.. feeling..feeling that he could handle things. As long as Tatsumi could hold him like this..
------

Watari: It was a little over two weeks later, and Watari came into Tatsumi's office with a sigh.
Tatsumi: "What is it?" Tatsumi asked, looking up from his computer.
Watari: Watari plopped down on the chair across from the desk, "She still won't talk to meeeee--!" Watari declined to mention Hisoka's suggested comment that implied, perhaps 003 was taking a leaf out of his book, and not speaking to the man until he apologized for his dishonest behavior. (And speak about his problems--though that went without being said.) "She's never been angry with me this long!"
Tatsumi: Tatsumi typed in something before finally turning his attention to Watari. "Is that the only thing odd about her?" he asked, thinking maybe the little owl might be sick.
Watari: "I don't knoooow. And I'm worried! What if she's sick but just not speaking to me because she's so stubborn and still angryyyy!?"
Tatsumi: "Would she not let you examine her?"
Watari: "She hardly even looks at me! Except to glower at me." Watari sighed again, seeming miserable.
Tatsumi: This was odd behavior for the little bird he had to admit. "I'm sorry... I don't know what to tell you. Except letting Hisoka see her, maybe."
Watari: Watari tried not to make a face at mention of the boy. "Yeah maybe.."
Tatsumi: "Or... I could try....?" What he could do , he didn't know, but he figured it would be worth a shot. Apparently, 003 was upset with Watari, not him.
Watari: "Well.. I'll see if I can't talk her into it.." Watari stood. "Um.. Konoe... sent me a memo.. did you get a copy of it too?" The one asking about their odd behavior as of late... alluding to the fact that 'odd symptoms' had been noticed. (Meaning, Hisoka had gone to the chief with his concerns.)
Tatsumi: "I did." he answered, glancing at the corner of the piece of paper on his desk. (said paper was burried under many others.)
Watari: "....I think we're gonna have to tell him." And Watari didn't like it. He was going to get in trouble for concealing such a huge issue from everyone else. No matter what the circumstances.
Tatsumi: "Yes, we will. I'll be right there beside you," he pointed out.
Watari: Watari stared at his boots for a moment... "I.. I'm going to have to.. explain myself.. why I didn't... didn't.." Why he didn't report it.
Tatsumi: Tatsumi rested his chin onto his joined hands. "Don't look down." He told Watari, his voice strong.
Watari: The blond looked up. "I know.. I just...." He wasn't looking forward to relating the experience. "....and if Bon finds out he'll never trust me again." There were two strikes against Watari. (Even though one wasn't his fault.) He'd(or his body had) raped Tatsumi. And then he'd concealed his (unofficial, sometime) partner's possession.
Tatsumi: "Why do you think Hisoka wouldn't trust you?" he asked curiously.
Watari: Watari stared at his hands, "Isn't it obvious? I mean.. consider what my choices lead to.. for you. And.. I covered it up.. I didn't say a word..."
Tatsumi: "Why?" he asked gently, hoping to prepare Watari for what was soon to come.
Watari: "Because I was scared.." Watari whispered, "And ashamed.. I.. didn't want to face it."
Tatsumi: That... wouldn't do. Not that kind of answer, even if it was the truth. "Look at me, Watari."
Watari: He did so, eyes sliding off his hands and up to Tatsumi's face.
Tatsumi: Konoe wouldn't be too rough, but he wouldn't be easy either... 'Because you felt ashamed and didn't want to face it, you left your partner in danger.' might be the old man's reply, he wasn't sure. "I... " he tried to start. "Just try and be prepared."
Watari: Watari nodded.. and then stalked silently off to his lab..
Tatsumi: Then again, if Watari kept up that look, maybe Konoe would go easy on him. And another thought.... why would dear 003 be giving her master the cold shoulder when he was so obviously in need of the little things affection?
Watari: When the time came later that afternoon, Watari was not situated outside, in, or near Konoe's office.
Tatsumi: And Tatsumi, who had been in Konoe's office, offered to go look for the other. First place he went to was Watari's lab.
Watari: It was empty...devoid of life and movement
Tatsumi: Tatsumi stood at the door, looking the lab over many times, unable to believe that there wasn't even a bird in sight any where. He left, heading for the break room...
Watari: No sign of him there either, but Wakaba mentioned she'd seen him headed towards the library earlier..
Tatsumi: Giving the girl a quick thanks, he was on his way to the library, actually running.
Watari: The Gushoshin blinked when he got there, only saying that they'd seen Watari come in earlier. (Looking for 003) But they hadn't seen him go out.
Tatsumi: Dammit, Watari! he was cursing the man now, thinking of two more places to check in the Ministry before he checked the blond's home.
Tatsumi: Tatsumi was still running.... Why? He could just transport himself over the Ministry couldn't he? Perhaps he was hoping he may run into Watari along the way to his destinations... He came into his office.
Watari: No sign of him. At all.
Tatsumi: And lastly, his last hope, no matter how small, he checked Konoe's office, thinking maybe Watari was just... late.
Konoe: The man looked up expectantly, "Well?"
Tatsumi: "No where..." He huffed, out of breath. "I'll check his home," he said quickly.
Konoe: Konoe hesitated then nodded. "Do it. But if he's not there, we're starting this without him."
Tatsumi: "Yes, sir." he answered, avoiding eye contact with the man. So quickly Tatsumi had appeared in the man's home, knowing he was there. (Where else would he be?) "Watari?" he called aloud as he walked through the appartment, into rooms, looking for that blond of his. You're worrying me, you bastard.
Konoe: ......silence
Tatsumi: No, no, no, no, NO! He had to be here. "Watari!!"
Konoe: Nothing. Absolutely nothing.
Tatsumi: Tatsumi appeared back in Konoe's office, eyes focused on the man sitting at his desk. "He's not there. He's gone. Missing..."
Konoe: The elder man brooded over this bit of information for a minute..."I think you should tell me what's going on Tatsumi.. from the beginning.."
Tatsumi: Gods, he couldn't even concentrate, though! "Watari... foolish man that he is, made a deal with a demon." A demon... Demon that might still be alive... And have him. Have Watari. Tatsumi didn't realize it, but he was pacing around the small area in front of the chief's desk.
Konoe: Konoe wasn't quite sure he'd heard that correctly. "Watari...? Our Watari...? Eccentric, slightly dreanged, all-around good-guy, practical when necessary Watari...? Watari entered into a demon's contract? Whatever for! In exchange for what?" This just... wasn't happening. There was no way Watari would do something that.. that stupid!
Tatsumi: Reading the man's thoughts, "Stupid of him, isn't it? He said he did it to help us, to end Muraki's life." He was recalling all of this while thinking over where in the hell said foolish man was. It's been weeks... It couldn't be the demon. And hadn't he killed it? Seen it die? Maybe he knew he couldn't handle this and he's hiding. Even from me, because he knew I would make him do this...
Konoe: The chief sighed heavily, oh he was going to need so much medicine before this was all over. "And pray tell why was this not brought to my attention before now Tatsumi?"
Tatsumi: "The man was possessed, it left a few scars on him."
Konoe: "That's not what I mean Tatsumi. You're skimping on details. Why didn't you say anything if you knew?"
Tatsumi: A sigh and he finally sat down, talking himself into thinking that Watari was only hiding.... (Though something in him was telling him that the other man just wouldn't do that. But he didn't want to listen to that voice right now.) "While Watari was possessed, he attacked me. During that time, I forced the demon into me... "
Konoe: Konoe nodded. "And..? It was his duty to inform us of this. You were dangerous!" He was fond of both Tatsumi and Watari, but he did not appreciate his workers being put into mortal peril.
Tatsumi: "I... can not tell you why he didn't inform anyone right away then. He was afraid. The demon tries to break you, seeing into your mind."
Konoe: "So what happened to it? I can only assume it's gone according to what Hisoka says."
Tatsumi: "When it came to work as me, it went after Watari again...." he went silent for a moment before continuing. "I attacked it immediately after it left me and went after Watari.... I believe I killed it."
Tatsumi: No, I hope I did.
Konoe: "How certain are you Tatsumi?" Konoe's face was grim. Every case where a demon was 'supposedly dead' ran through his mind. (The Sagatanasu incident especially prominent, because of how recent it was.)

Tatsumi: "Now that I can't find Watari, the host it so dearly wanted, not very, sir." Tatsumi answered.
Konoe: "...This is not a good situation Tatsumi. What do you suggest we do?"
Tatsumi: "That we find Watari as soon as possible." Wasn't that obvious?? "I don't believe he's here anymore."
Konoe: "Who are you going to take with you when you look?"
Tatsumi: Tatsumi silently apologized to Watari... "Kurosaki would be best."
Konoe: Konoe nodded, "Make him aware of the situation..... I have to say.. I don't know what to do. Watari could be in serious trouble when he comes back here." He had a sneaking suspicion that had he used the word 'if' he'd be regenerating his head. "I'm wondering if keeping this quiet isn't the best course of action.. but.. time is not infinite."
Tatsumi: "No, it isn't." Tatsumi was to his feet now, ready to walk out and now begin his search for Hisoka. "And thank you."
Konoe: "I can give you 24 hours Tatsumi... then I have to inform our superiors."
Tatsumi: A quick nod of thanks and he left.
Hisoka: Hisoka was in his office, working on his paperwork, and ignoring his partner who was wheedling for another five minute break.
Tatsumi: On the way to their office, Tatsumi was thinking over if Tsuzuki should know right away... The man probably wouldn't be too happy since in a way, Hisoka would be in danger. (Though Tatsumi had promised he would never allow any harm to come to the boy.) But finally he was there, forcing himself to walk(and not run) into the office. "Hisoka?" he tried to sound casual and calm. "I need a word with you."
Hisoka: The boy looked up, glancing at his partner. "Sure." He stood up, "Get back to work Tsuzuki. Slacker." He stepped out into the hallway, pulling the door closed.
Tatsumi: "First off, when was the last time you saw Watari?" he started.

Hisoka: He blinked, "Sometime this morning."

Tatsumi: Tatsumi frowned, as if he'd been expecting to hear good news. "I... We have reason to believe that Watari is being possessed by a demon. I've come for your assistance in his search." He could explain the situation more as they looked. There was no need to waste time here. (And gods, now all he could think about was what it could be doing to Watari's mind right now.)

Hisoka: The boy nodded. "So that's what you two were hiding.... where's 003?" It was an odd question.

Tatsumi: Tatsumi looked at him questioningly. "I don't know. I didn't see anyone in the lab earlier when I was looking for him."

Hisoka: "I could use her to get a fix on Watari's.. or the demon's.. energy flow."

Tatsumi: Tatsumi agreed with that, and even if they couldn't find 003 maybe Hisoka could pick up something from the man's lab. "Come, we'll check his lab again." he said and (without really thinking) reached out for the boy's shoulder, transporting them to the area.

Hisoka: The empath shrugged off his touch, and looked around. "...It feels... bad in here." He frowned.
Tatsumi: "Explain." he said, taking a look around the lab one more time. For anything.
Hisoka: "Just.. bad... like.. something malicious was here.... 003?" The boy stepped over to the window, resting on the sill outside was a poor, tired, haggard-looking little owl.
Tatsumi: "She's here??" The man was over there in no time, looking at the poor little thing. It made his heart fall more, yet he still had that small piece of hope. Finding 003 was a good thing after all.
Hisoka: As soon as Hisoka opened the window, she flew in, crying and flying in paniced circles. "She's upset." Hisoka pointed out expertly. "And.. she has that same 'bad' aura."
Tatsumi: He wished the boy could describe this "bad" aura he kept sensing. Tatsumi held both his hands out to the owl, offering her a perch. She was the closest thing he had to Watari now and all he wanted to do was hold the distressed girl. "Comer here, 003." he called to her softly. "Try to be calm and 'tell' Hisoka here where we can find him."
Hisoka: She landed on the man's hands, talons gripping into his fingers. If she'd had the capacity to cry, she'd probably be sobbing. There were hurried squeaks and clicks of her beak. Hisoka simply put his hands on her, flinching a little, wanting to withdraw. "It was the demon.... it was hiding in her... when he was in the library.. it went back....... They're not in meifu. They're on earth.." Hisoka finally pulled his hand away, still blinking flaming scarlet out of his vision.
Tatsumi: One of Tatsumi's hands came up to pet 003, smoothing over her feathers in a comfotring manner and he looked to Hisoka with thankful blue eyes. "Nothing more detailed than he's on earth now?"
Hisoka: His eyes hardened. "He's looking for Muraki... " They narrowed, "I don't want to save him but.... I'm not letting anyone else kill him."
Tatsumi: 'Wonderful.' Tatsumi thought, the news of having to encounter Muraki not striking him well either. The annoying thought didn't stay with him long, though. 'Watari...' And they still didn't know where! "Did you see anything else? Recognize the area perhaps? Describe it?"

Hisoka: "Give me a minute..." Hisoka closed his eyes and went into a trance-like state, jaw locking and temple twitching. 003 hooed concernedly, fluttering up so she could chew on Tatsumi's hair.

Tatsumi: He didn't mind the small owl on top of him, but focused more on Hisoka, keeping quiet while the boy was concentrating. (And praying that they would get results.)

Hisoka: Silence ........................................................................... "Got it." Hisoka opened his eyes. I just can't believe this whole situation.

Tatsumi: "Good work." 'Thank you, Kurosaki.' He once again reached up to pet 003 and calm her so that she would take it easy on his hair. "Let's go."

Hisoka: Hisoka reached out and grabbed the man by the sleeve. Ghosting out of sight. When they appeared, it was in front of one of the most joyless buildings ever seen. It was a mental institution. Hisoka pressed his lips together. He could already feel the depression and desperation emanating from the building. He'd have to strengthen his shields..
Tatsumi: Tatsumi pushed away the thoughts that the institution brought to mind, ignored Hisoka's distress with the strong sensations he was surely feeling, and began walking toward that building, a bit of blood lust evident in his eyes.
Hisoka: The empath followed after a moment, wondering why the demon would bring Watari here...
Tatsumi: Just before the man entered those doors, he made himself a "ghost" to make the search easier, quicker. Once inside, Tatsumi turned to his current partner, just realzing that the area might be a little strong for him. (Because, despite the situation, the place was very unwelcoming it felt like.)
Hisoka/Watari: Hisoka 'ghosted' as well. "I'm fine." He said shortly. "....I can feel him. He's in one of the empty wards." Empty because that part of the building was undergoing renovations.
Tatsumi: Tatsumi was running... again. But that's what you did, right? You run to a loved one's side when they were in trouble. Though, in Tatsumi's opinion, he felt that he shouldn't have been running in the first place. He should've already been there, there to help, there to prevent it. "The things I do for love." And he hated, hated how cruel his imagination was being to him at the moment.
Hisoka/Watari: He was in a cell. Alone. "They've fortgotten about you, you've been here so long." That's not true.. "They got tired of taking care of poor crazy little Watari." Shut up! Shut up! He threw himself against the wall. (Ouch. Pain. Shoulder.) This is a stupid illusion! I'm in the library! The library! "You're really here.. patient 7612-RO. No I'm not!" / You are too.. all that other crap was illusions.. medications. I'm what's real. This is reality... / And Watari was.. uncertain.. because he'd been having this argument for awhile now (how long he couldn't say.) And.. everything felt real.. and he wished he could say he wasn't confused now...
Hisoka/Watari: Hisoka ran, trying to keep up, his legs not as long as the others. Was that.. Watari he was feeling? It was so small compared to that other presence.. that other aura..
Tatsumi: Tatsumi kept running, his heart feeling more stressed with each step, counting on Hisoka to speak up once they were nearing the room.
Hisoka/Watari: /This is the sort of place you were.. remember?/ "No.. I don't.." /Wanna know the truth? You've never left here. That man you 'love'? It's a lie. In your head. / The blonde grasped his head. NO NO NO NO NO I'M NOT CRAZY!! THIS ISN'T REAL! You're lying! I'm dead, I'm dead, I'm dead! Tatsumi! "Hah! Only a crazy person would maintain they're dead when clearly they are alive... You truly are insane.. Watari.." And the demon pressed down... taking advantage of the turmoil and confusion in Watari's mind. "No STOPPIT! I DON'T.. I DON'T KNOW!!" It flooded him with memories, too fast to be registered. He was kneeling, gasping. It pressed. And what was left of Watari (or his sanity) was snapped. And his body let out a scream that Rishka could not contain.
Hisoka/Watari: The teen stopped and gasped, feeling pain right down into his bones. "W- Watari--!" He had to lean against the wall.
Tatsumi: He came to a complete stop, turning to Hisoka. He'd put the slight strange sound he thought he'd heard aside when the youth called out Watari's name.
Hisoka/Watari: "Bad.. this is.. really bad.." Hisoka pushed himself off the wall. "He's.. it's..." But he was saved further explaination by the sound of a door being blasted off its hinges somewhere down the halls.
Tatsumi: Tatsumi's form had become apparent with the loud noise. He'd left Hisoka's side, running as fast as he could to the blast's source, Tatsumi's shadow taking on a rather odd form as it was reflected on the wall beside him.
Hisoka/Watari: Watari stumbled out of the wreckage, shaking his mane of hair.
Tatsumi: "Watari!!!" he called out, comming to a stop right in front of the man, not caring if he was putting himself at risk. Tatsumi was panting, hair in his eyes, but he looked Watari over.....
Hisoka/Watari: Watrai looked up, his eyes a bloody orange. He smiled. "Hello again, Tatsumi."
Tatsumi: He winced at seeing those eyes, hearing that voice that sounded much like Watari's, that smile... But he wrapped his arms around the other, embracing him tightly. "Watari..." he tried again.
Hisoka/Watari: "You're too late, little man." It threw off a blast of energy. Hisoka ran down the hall, now that he'd recovered from that mental blast. He shivered at that feeling. It had consumed Watari...
Tatsumi: Tatsumi was pushed back from that energy, some of his suit jacket and shirt were destroyed, burned. He felt sick, positively sick. Tatsumi hadn't felt that the demon's death wasn't completely real from the beginning... and now he almost felt certain that Watari had felt the same, too. And they didn't say anything. He noticed Hisoka now. "...........Can you sense anything?"
Hisoka/Watari: "He's.. gone... He's still there somewhere but..... he's hiding it.. We're going to have to get rid of it if we wanna---" he had to dodge another blast here "save Watari!"
Tatsumi: Oh, he couldn't agree more with that statement. But... "And how do you suggest," Tatsumi's shadow was used as a sheild, for the both of them, "we do that?"
Hisoka/Watari: "Can you cast the restraint spell?" Hisoka asked hurriedly. "Lock me in that barrier with him.. and I can try and force the demon out." It was a risky plan.. that could result in the loss of three Shinigami if they failed..
Tatsumi: Tatsumi didn't answer for a moment, weighing that heavy price over in his mind(and heart), trying to think if there was something else... another option. And when he found none, he bowed his head(in apology for if it failed, in prayer, for hope...) and cast the restraint spell as suggested, his eyes never leaving Watari.
Hisoka/Watari: There was a short, physical battle but Hisoka managed to latch his hands onto the (other) blonde's head, forcing his consiousness in. What would follow for the outside world, was five minutes of tense stillness. Internally...
Hisoka/Watari: It was a horrendous battle 'verbal' but really.. mental. And Hisoka met the demon blow for blow, with all the grace of a swordfight. He only faltered for a few brief moments, when the demon shared the event of rape (causing flashbacks of his own) and the dark, primal aspect of Watari that had enjoyed it. And despite the fact that he felt his skin crawl, and a bit.. angry, he was surprised to find feelings of loyalty and defensiveness springing up from somewhere. Everyone has those feelings, but that doesn't mean they act on them! Watari would never hurt Tatsumi or anyone else he loved willingly. It is all your fault, it was YOU who did that.. so own up to the consequences.. get out. NOW! And he blasted the demon with the (considerable) power of his mind. Later... much later he would realize that was when he knew the two men.. loved each other. As it was, there were more pressing matters to think about. Like the demon bursting from the man's back.
Tatsumi: His eyes were an incredibly dark and hazy blue as the demon emerged from his loved one's body, a twisted smile on his lips when he met it's eyes. "Hello again, Rishka." His venomous tone was iced over with a little sick pleasure as his shadow, mimicking a large blade, came from behind, messily piercing the demon's chest. The "tip" turned into many more, like strings, and went through the demon again..... repeating that process over.... and over...
Hisoka/Watari: Hisoka watched in awe. He'd never seen Tatsumi like this.... this was even more chilling than the time he'd attacked Muraki. He was holding Watari, making sure his back healed up--speeding up the process. And the shadows kept ripping, even after Hisoka felt the demon was long dead.
Tatsumi: The smile had disappeared now, his eyes narrowing as the "remains" became more scarce. Tatsumi's shadow hadn't stopped, though it was not as extreme. He walked up closer to the scattered remains, watching his shadow cut away at every trace, "swallowing" some of the smaller pieces. Come back.... he threatened. Take him away from me again...
Hisoka/Watari: "T-tatsumi-san.... it's gone.." Hisoka's voice was soft though, almost afraid to disturb the man when he was like this.
Tatsumi: "It is." he agreed in a blank tone, eyes still on the floor, watching as his shadow swept away at the filnal remains. He calmly made his way over to Hisoka now, and Tatsumi seemed to return back to normal when he saw Watari.
Hisoka/Watari: "....he's unstable." Hisoka finally settled on. "Lonely.. lost.... he.. needs someone to guide his way home. He needs a rudder Tatsumi.." The boy looked up at him.
Tatsumi: Leaning in front of them on the floor, Tatsumi reached over and took Watari from the youth, holding him in his arms, like he had many times, supporting the man's back up a little and had it so Watari's head was leaning against his upper chest. I.... I don't know how to guide you, Watari... His own thoughts sounded so broken.
Hisoka/Watari: Hisoka got to his feet, brushing his hands off. "Just...think of him...as you remember him. Hold him and let him know what's real..." He's calling out to you.
Hisoka/Watari: "..and get him out of this place." Nervermind the fact Hisoka wanted to leave too.
Tatsumi: Silently, the man's shadow(much easier, and plus it felt.. so alive, his shadow did right now) formed sort of a black bubble around the three of them, and when it fell like a blanket back to the floor, they were in the infirmary. Tatsumi was still on the floor, holding Watari, holding the other's hand now. "Yutaka." he said gently, still not sure on what he should say. "Come back. It's over now, done with, I promise." (Was that really his voice?) "Wake up." You fool.
Hisoka/Watari: Watari... Hisoka sent his own mental thought...before going off to find Tsuzuki. He felt.. tired. Watari still remained asleep, or so it seemed for the moment.
Tatsumi: He felt they were alone now, and he sighed, resting his chin on the top of Watari's head. "I've come to admit that I am an utter wreck without you." he told the silent man in his arms. "And that was very hard to admit, by the way." Better, his voice sounded better now... more... calm. "I bet it told you all sorts of lies... with the effects of visions, illusions. I'm sorry I wasn't there for you."
Watari: His fingers twitched. Somewhere in his midscape, a voice of blue was calling out to him. Softer and gentler than the voice he'd grown so accustomed to..
Tatsumi: He continued, his grip tightening around that delicate hand that had shown him a reaction, some hope. "Perhaps we should have joined offices? The room next to you is a storage room." This wasn't really helping though, was it? "I love you, Watari. And if you truly feel the same, then you'll wake up." Come back to me. "Because you know how stressed I am.... how I can get.... How do you expect me to get through the day without you coming into my office and bravely sitting yourself on my desk?" And there was so much more he could have added, but with the fear of that burning sensation in his eyes flooding over, he settled for nuzzling Watari's forehead with his cheek. I feel like you're all I have now...
Watari: I want......... to know what is real.... Cautiously, those fingers squeezed again. As though afraid of the implications of waking up. All he could sense was.. someone was waiting for him.. but... what if that was just another lie? He couldn't take it..if that were so.
Tatsumi: He brought that hand up to his lips, giving it a light kiss. "Are you afraid to come back, Watari?"
Watari: Of course he was scared. His entire grip on reality had been shattered. At least where he was now things didn't keep changing every five minutes.
Tatsumi: "You little..." he let words fall, his voice still soft and gentle. Tatsumi's thumb was moving over the top of Watari's hand. He managed a smile, kissing the blond's cheek. "Do not be afriad to wake up anymore. This is real." It had all finally clicked in Tatsumi's mind. Why the demon was there, of all places. "You never belonged in such a place, Watari. That was all Rishka, who will never return to bring you such torment again." His eyes flashed dark again before he kissed Watari again.
Watari: And that seemed to do it... reluctantly, fearfully, hesitantly.. Watari cracked open his eyes, broken, flat, and haunted. "...where?"
Tatsumi: He would never forget that look, ever. But it didn't stop him from smiling in relief... He hugged Watari. Tight. "The infirmary... reality.... back....." was his muffled reply.
Watari: "'Firmary…?" His voice was tense. ".....who, who..... I?"
Tatsumi: What? His voice sounded so small even in his thoughts. Tatsumi buried his face further in Watari's hair as he felt a hot liquid run down his left cheek. "You are Watari. Yutaka Watari..."
Watari: That sounded.. familiar but... "...7612-RO?" Is that what Watari stood for? Yutaka Watari? "I.......... know you?" This was less of a question than the other statements.
Tatsumi: Tatsumi's heart broke. His mind screaming... No, no, no, no, no.... But he willed those thoughts aside, that part of him that felt like breaking. Tatsumi pulled his face away from Watari then, looking at him, smiling. "Your name. Your name is Watari." He tilted his head to the side at the man. "You know me. Can you remember my name, Watari?"
Watari: Watari reached out a hand to... this... familiar stranger. The tips of his fingers resting against his cheek. Things filtered back to him, distorted, confused, conflicting, contradicting. His perception was becoming clearer.. more focused. Less splintered. "Yes...." That was the only thing he knew, for certain. "Tatsumi.." He said the name slowly, as though chewing around taffy. But he dreaded the next question. 'Are you real'? (Because a doctor wouldn't have been nearly so caring...) "I....? I asleep? You...dream..?" Oh gods he hoped not. He didn't want that. Not at all, not at all. He wanted this man to be real! He'd die if Tatsumi wasn't real.
Tatsumi: Tatsumi's hand came over Watari's, leaning into the touch on his cheek. "No, we're both awake, Watari."
Watari: "...7612-RO?" He asked again smaller, not having a real 'meaning' to pin to his 'name' just yet.
Tatsumi: He was sure to show confusion at the mention of numbers again. "I don't understand what you mean by that."
Watari: "My number....yes?"
Tatsumi: "You don't have a number, Watari. You have a name. Say it for me." Tatsumi's other hand tilted Watari's chin up some, making sure that everything about himself was... gentle and calming. "Yutaka Watari."
Watari: "Wa-ta-ri." It felt.. foriegn, but the number became weaker in his mind.
Tatsumi: Tatsumi resituated a little on the floor, getting a little more comfortable. (His foot was trying to go to sleep.) He rewarded Watari with a warm smile, nodding. "That's right. But say "Yutaka" this time. I've always been fond of your first name."
Watari: He felt warm when the other man said that. And his face broke into a smile. Then he looked confused at what he'd just done.
Tatsumi: Instead of asking him if something was wrong, Tatsumi squeezed Watari's hand. "Would you like me to call you by your first name? Yutaka."
Watari: Shyly, he smiled again and nodded. "Yutaka..Watari.."
Tatsumi: "Do you remember my first name, Yutaka?"
Watari: He cast about his mind and things jumbled around in there. Suddenly it fell into place and he was smiling ear to ear, like a child, and he proudly said, "Seii-chan! You.... you Seiichiro! You ‘Sumi!!"
Tatsumi: Tatsumi was smiling, chuckling a little, also proud of Watari. (For a brief moment, he felt that heavy puill at his heart... but he cast it aside.) He felt a little embarrassed at being called "Seii-chan" but he truly was happy that the other had remembered. "I'm glad you remembered my name, Yutaka." He said, slowly pulling Watari into another embrace.
Watari: Watari hugged him back, "Se-ii-chi-ro...? ....................I, I like you best." It was what he knew.
Tatsumi: "Is that so?" His fingers tightened around a few strands of hair. "That's good, because I like you best also."
Watari: He felt... happy. Relieved. Light. He almost wanted to.. to laugh! "...you.. you sure? Other...?" Nobody else? Someone else who wasn't.....crazy?
Tatsumi: "Only you, Yutaka." he reassured him, hugging him closer.
Watari: He nestled his face against the other's chest. "I…? I............ not..crazy?" It was hopeful.
Tatsumi: Tatsumi made Watari look up at him, keeping the closeness between them still. "No, you aren’t."
Watari: "Real...? You.. no lie?" He'd heard so many different people, different voices saying different things..the same voices saying different things. He didn't know when to believe.. but.. here.. now.. he wanted to believe.
Tatsumi: "I promise." he said, unable to ignore the hard tug at his heart this time. Tatsumi only felt it though(accepted it), he didn't show it(the pain) on his face. No, he was still smiling, confidently now. He even dared to gently lean down and kiss Watari on his forehead. "I'm not lying to you, Yutaka."
Watari: "I, I not.. No can take…. If.. if Sumi lie.."
Tatsumi: "I would never." Tatsumi told him, looking into those pools of gold.

Watari: Watari searched those eyes. "......................................... I ..I trust.... …I start.. know.. who me..." And who he wasn't.

Tatsumi: "Good. Very good." he said, nodding. It would probably help him if we were some where else... The infirmary of all places didn't seem so good of a place for Watari. The blond didn't appear to be hurt. His home. I should take him home. "Yutaka... Would you like to go home?"

Watari: Watari nodded. That sounded much better to him.

Tatsumi: "Mm, alright then." he said, sounding cheerful. Tatsumi glanced around them though, as if looking for someone. I should probably inform Konoe though. Hopefully Kurosaki has updated him... I just need to let him know we're leaving. Should he take Watari with him? Yes, he wasn't leaving him alone. For a long time. How would Watari, Yutaka, react to everything? The Ministry certainly wasn't as cold and depressing as that other place had been. "We'll go home, but first... Do you remember where we work, Yutaka?"

Watari: He frowned. Work huh? So he worked... His face scrunched up in concentration, "Isit.. isit.. ... brain hospital?" Maybe that was it? Maybe he'd been attacked by a patient, or.. or injected with drugs.. or.. abusing drugs.. maybe that's why he was so messed up... He frowned. "With cherry trees...?"

Tatsumi: Tatsumi felt he didn't have to go into detail with what any of them did, so he kept it as simple as he could. (And as innocent.) "No, this isn't a hospital of any sort. Though right now, you and I are in the infirmary. If someone were to get hurt or sick, this is where they would go." Tatsumi's hands were now wrapped around the blond's waist, fingers laced. "We work in an office. (I do at least.) You're an engineer, Yutaka." He said the last sentance proudly, smiling.

Watari: "Engin-eer... That mean... I.. invent things? .......I," he paused, "Get hurt?"

Tatsumi: Well, you've certainly tried to... "You weren't hurt thankfully. But to be safe..." Tatsumi reached up to pull down the top of Watari's turtle neck, inspecting his neck.
Watari: Unlike before the mark was comepletely gone, only there as sketchy, thin, white scratches. Barely-there scars, hardly able to be seen.
Watari: "S-something on me..?" His heart rate had sped up, and the skin tingled around his throat. "Something...'bout me wrong?" He was like a child, eager to please.
Tatsumi: Tatsumi met his eyes, clearly relieved not to find a mark or any sort of remains of it from the demon. " Nothing about you is wrong, Yutaka. I just wanted to make sure you weren't hurt." Or still in danger. "But you're fine," he smiled. "Can you walk?"

Watari: He looked at the man blankly. "Waa--lk?" Why couldn't he pair that word to anything?
Tatsumi: Tatsumi was silent for a moment. "............I can help you walk in a moment. Can you stand up?"
Watari: He thought about it..... then nodded slowly. "Yes..."
Tatsumi: "We're going to stand now, alright, Yutaka?" Tatsumi moved one leg under him and had one arm still wrapped around the other's waist.
Watari: The blond nodded several times, "'Kay...I ready." He reached out his arms to brace against Tatsumi.
Tatsumi: Making sure he had a good hold on the other(and it helped that Watari was holding onto him, also), Tatsumi lifted the two of them up slowly.
Watari: Watari stumbled around on his feet for a few moments, as though not sure what to do with them. He leaned against Tatsumi heavily, "Uh.. 's hard..." he complained, whining slightly.
Tatsumi: Tatsumi was sure to stay still, being the perfect pillar for the other. "You're doing just fine, Yutaka." he encouraged, helping him stay still some. "Try harder for me."
Watari: "I.. try..." Another stumble or two, and then he got it, freezing as he suddenly found his balance. "....stand?"
Tatsumi: "You're standing, Yutaka." he smiled down. It would... probably be a little much too get him to walk. They could try that at home, in a safer enviroment. But before they went home, he had to talk to Konoe. And to do that, without walking, he would have to either leave Yutaka(out of the question) or ghost there. And how would Yutaka react to that?
Watari: "I... I standing..." He slid a foot forward, as though testing the floor, to make sure it wouldn't move. (Leaning heavily against Tatsumi and his other leg.) Quickly he righted himself, wobbling like a reed in the wind.

Tatsumi: He was careful to hold onto him without stopping Yutaka from experimenting with the use of his legs and getting into the hang of standing... and walking. "You're doing so well." he complimented.

Watari: "Y'makin' my face feel funny.." He mumbled, content now to hang onto Tatsumi. (The concept of self-locomotion proved to be a scary one.)

Tatsumi: "I see that." he laughed lightly, kissing the top of Watari's head. "I need to tell a friend that we're leaving before we go home." Tatsumi finally said.

Watari: He nodded. ".....help?"

Watari: ((X3 And he's all .//////. from the kiss x333))

Tatsumi: "Help...?" Tatsumi questioned, not understanding. He didn't know if Yutaka meant stand, walk, or something else....?

Watari: "Help.. get there..?" He felt funny again.... "c-carry me?"

Tatsumi: He nodded, flipping the man up into his arms with ease. "Of course I will." Of course. He could just carry Watari there.... but the threat of running into someone was always a possibility. Seeing some people might be good for him, and others not. (Terazuma.) "Ready?" You're so light, Watari...

Watari: He nodded, smiling brightly. (This was.. fun! <33) "Ready!" His arms were situated around Tatsumi's neck comfortably.

Tatsumi: You're too light. he thought, walking on out of the infirmary and into the halls. "Look around, Yutaka, and you might remember something." He walked a normal pace, Watari going in a rythm of up and down with his steps.

Watari: He really was. He hadn't been eating well the past two weeks. He looked around, clutching closer to Tatsumi, almost as though scared. "Where lab?" He asked suddenly. "I... ...work... lab.. yes? Go boom a lot?"

Tatsumi: Tatsumi looked down at him then, a surprised small smile on his face. "Oh yes, it went boom quite a lot. Would you like to stop by your lab first?"

Watari: He shook his head, hiding his face a little, "No.. wanna go home.." Wherever that was.. please let it be some place nice... and not scary..

Tatsumi: He felt no disappointment with that answer. Tatsumi nodded, "Alright, we'll go home." They came up on Konoe's office without interuption and Tatsumi opened the door(with a little difficulty) and walked into the office, a little nervous, but not showing it.

Watari: Konoe looked up... and stared.

Watari: Watari stared at the older man with big eyes. He didn't look familiar at all. Well.. maybe.. but he couldn't be sure.

Tatsumi: "Konoe," Tatsumi said, keeping his voice gentle and friendly just as he had with Watari. "Yutaka is back, safe and sound. Though he's having trouble remembering a few things. He remembers me at least." Tatsumi got a better hold around the man in his arms. "I'd like to take him back home for now..."

Watari: ....."Kurosaki informed me things have been 'taken care of.'" He said, in a tone that suggested they'd been having a long detailed conversation before hand. "I assume that a report is not a viable option at this time... Get him home. I'm putting him under your official care and marking his errant behavior lately as 'stress and overwork.' He's taking a two week 'leave of absence' starting today."

Tatsumi: Tatsumi nodded, thanking the man in front of him from the bottom of his heart... "We'll be going then." (Though he was still a little fearful of how Yutaka might take the sudden transportation to his home.)

Watari: Konoe nodded. "You're dismissed."

Tatsumi: Tatsumi walked them out into the empty hallway, deciding to just get the next part over with quickly. He would tell Yutaka that it was perfectly normal for them, which it was. Squeezing the blond tight in his arms, he said, "We're going home now." And no sooner than the words left his mouth, they were.... They were home, in Watari's living room apartment.

Watari: "Wooaaa-----h!" He wriggled a little, excited. "How you do that!? I do that? ......." He frowned suddenly, thinking. "..............Real..? I.. I home now?" He clutched to Tatsumi a little tighter. Or was he 'imagining' things? (Hallucinating, rather.)

Tatsumi: Why had he even worried? (This was still Watari... his reaction had proved that.) Tatsumi's arms were starting to get tired and he wanted to take the weight off of them. He walked over to the couch and had a seat, Watari sitting in his lap. Tatsumi took the blond's hand in his and brought it to his face where he nuzzled the other's fingers. "This is real, Yutaka. You aren't dreaming... you aren't imagining it..." Please realize that. "You're home." With a small grin, Tatsumi leaned closer to Watari, whispering in his ear, "And everyone from work can do that, even you."

Watari: His solemn, serious countenance broke when the man smiled and whispered in his ear. He let out a little giggle, involuntarily. "Liking you best mean tummy go flippy when you do that?" He twisted his hands so that his palms were against Tatsumi's. "I like." As if one couldn't tell from his million-watt smile.

Tatsumi: He'd expected to get a positive reaction from that. Tatsumi's smile widened, hidden from Watari as he hadn't moved away from his ear yet. He squeezed the other man's hand gently. Watari... Sitting back, Tatsumi saw that beautiful smile and his stomach did a flip. "Well, Yutaka," he started, "Do you remember your lovely home?"

Watari: He looked around equal parts cautious and curious. "I live here...?"

Tatsumi: "That's right." he nodded.

Watari: "....." He chewed his lip in thought. ".......a-lone?"

Tatsumi: Tatsumi's eyes became a lighter blue as he answered that. "No. You have three birds that you love and take care of." He silently hoped Watari wouldn't ask for their names... since the birds had numbers for names. "And I stay with you on occasion."

Watari: Watari's face broke into a smile at that. "Goodie. You... stay here tonight...?" It was hopeful.

Tatsumi: "I plan on staying for two weeks, actually." He smiled. "Is that alright with you?" (So he was teasing.)

Watari: His head bobbed up and down enthusiastically. "Yay~!" He flung his arms around the other's neck. "We have fun?" 'Are we going to have fun' is what he meant. "Where my birds?" So many questions..

Tatsumi: After a second to recover from the sudden burst of joy(not that he minded), Tatsumi wrapped his arms around Watari, a little protective. "Your birds may be at work, in your lab. They know how to come home... I bet they'll be by soon to see you." I hope... "And yes, I'll do my best to make sure these days off are enjoyable for you." Tatsumi's eyes were looking off in the distance at nothing. "But we're going to work on walking. Along with other things."

Watari: "Okey-dokey" He squirmed happily, squeezing the other just a little for a moment. "What things???"

Tatsumi: I want you to remember. But was that really fair? For Watari to remember, he would have to remember the demon. How it broke him....

Watari: "Sumi..?"

Tatsumi: Tatsumi snapped back to reality and met Watari's eyes, his lips forming a gentle smile. "Besides walking? Well, we would work on you remembering how to do other things. You really enjoyed cooking, for example."

Watari: "Coo---king? What that..? It sound scary." Eep!

Tatsumi: "When you prepare food." he explained. "Speaking of food, aren't you hungry?" Tatsumi asked, resting his forehead against the others.

Watari: Yutaka shook his head a little, but only a little. He liked being this close to the other. "No...." Eating might prove this place to be real... or not real. He didn't want to know. It was fine like this. He was happy with Tatsumi.

Tatsumi: His expression turned serious for a moment as he looked into Yutaka's eyes. "..........Hm, alright. But you and I will eat later tonight." Which brought up the question of what they would eat. Tatsumi had a feeling that the other wouldn't remember how to operate a fork or chop sticks. (He had an idea...) So, it would probably be best to find something that could be easily eaten with one's hands. (Oh, he didn't really like the idea, though....) And since Watari liked pasta anyway....

Watari: He looked around again... things filtering back to him, overlapping, eclipsing each other. (It was hard to form a clear picture...) "Sumi...?"

Tatsumi: Tatsumi couldn't help but follow his gaze around the room. "Yes?" he looked back to Yutaka.

Watari: It was a softer question than all the others, even more child-like. "I... have something bad inside of me...?" He was a little distressed, "Something....angry?" He remembered snatches of red, an angry 'voice', telling him.. things... he couldn't recall exactly.. "Did I..?"

Tatsumi: And he heavily weighed the answer in his mind for several seconds before he reached out and placed his hand behind Watari's head, bringing him back into a close embrace. (Knowing how much the other liked it.) "You did...." he said quietly. "But not anymore. I saw to that personally." It won't come back again.

Watari: "Oh..." he said softly. "I... okay now?"

Tatsumi: "You will be." Tatsumi said with confidence. "It told you many lies and hurt you... in the end leaving you without your memories.." He rested his chin on the top of Watari's head. "But you remembered me." It was more of a statement to himself, a reminder...

Watari: Watari 'snuggled' a bit against the man. "....cuz I remember you here..." His fingers traced a couple small circles on Tatsumi's chest. "Not up here..."

Tatsumi: Watari made him smile. "Just know that the source of that angry voice is gone. Forever. You may remember it.... in which case I'm right here, but know that it and it's words are not real."

Watari: "I tired..." He whined. "And I hurt here..." He had a hand to his chest. ".............I always like this?" He tilted his head, "I no remember be..." He couldn't word it properly. He just.. didn't feel grounded. He could hardly sift through his thoughts, and he just had to express them as they came, flinging them out there. Had he always been like this? It didn't feel right.

Tatsumi: Tatsumi took Yutaka's hand and placed it to his own chest. "We all hurt sometimes. But we find ways to numb it, even fight it... so that it doesn't hurt as much." He went on to admit, "I never realized it, but you've been smoothing away my own pain for many years."

Watari: "'Cuz I like you..?" He asked, curious. He even ran his palm over the man's breast, as though smoothing away dust.

Tatsumi: "I sure hope so." Tatsumi teased, his body tensing a little under the touch.

Watari: He smiled pleasantly, the teasing going over his head for now. But he bent down slightly and placed a kiss where his hand had been, before looking up. "Better?"

Tatsumi: He sent the other a warm smile, nodding. Suddenly, Tatsumi was at his feet, Yutaka securely in his arms. (He was hoping the sudden movement would maybe excite Watari.) "So, you're tired?"

Watari: It did. "Eeeeeee--hehehehee! Spin me 'roud, spin me round! Spin! Spin!" He was laughing.

Tatsumi: Tatsumi.... did so. A little surprised at how for he was willing to go to please the other. "You don't sound tired, Yutaka," he said, spinning them slowly a few times.

Watari: "Wheeeeee~!"

Tatsumi: During one spin, Tatsumi had transported them to the bedroom, and sadly, Tatsumi's legs bumped into the bed, causing them to fall onto the soft matress.

Watari: "Oof~!!" He said happily. "I squish you??"

Tatsumi: Tatsumi made a sort of relieved sigh mixed in with a cough and laughter. "No, I'm fine." he finally managed to get out.

Watari: He hugged the man before propping himself up on his arms, looking down at Tatsumi with a smile on his face. "Good. I--" But he trailed off...distracted...overwhelmed even by his feelings. (They were so much bigger than he was!)

Tatsumi: Tatsumi met his eyes with equal interest, his mouth twitched into a sort of confused pout. He wanted Watari to finish. "You...?"

Watari: I fergot... ......"I... I like you so much....I feel.... like.. it eat me.. or.. or.. I drown in it.. or..... or I die from it.." It was so strong, it was alarming!

Tatsumi: Tatsumi could already hear a voice, Watari's voice, commenting with that old joke... "But... I'm already dead!" Reaching up to cup the side of Yutaka's face, Tatsumi smiled. "I'm glad to see you're remembering."

Watari: Yutaka leaned into that touch, closing his eyes for a moment. "I remembering...? What you remember? You forget too...?"

Tatsumi: "No...." he said quietly. "I didn't forget. And I can help you remember."

Watari: "You can?" His voice was hushed. ".....Why.. why you wanna help me?" Sumi did.. want to help him, right? "No one..." wanted to help him.. they left him to rot.. right? No.. he never wanted help.. no.. he refused it.. or.. no.. no they forgot to ask.. or.... he just.. didn't need it...

Tatsumi: "Because I love you." Tatsumi answered gently.

Watari: His eyes went wide, and he may have taken in a breath. ".....That.. that same... as liking me best?"

Tatsumi: "It is." Tatsumi said, shifting on the bed so that he could sit up. "But so much more than that, also."

Watari: His mouth was a small, little 'o'. Clearly this concept was more than he could grasp. He arranged himself in Tatsumi's lap, much like a child at storytime. "You.. you tell me?"

Tatsumi: Tatsumi made a slight face at the man moving around in his lap and when he saw that Yutaka was still, he wrapped his arms around the blond's waist. "You really want to know?" Tatsumi teased him. (He felt that the random teasings were necessary. )

Watari: "Yeeeeees!" He nodded, bouncing (slightly) up and down. (Not enough to hurt the other.) "Tell meeee!"

Tatsumi: "I not only like you best," he said, using Yutaka's words, "I accept everything about you, good and bad, and love you. I will continue to love you even when I am angry." And when you annoy me. "I will do anything within my power and more to make you happy, protect you... help you..." The words were slowly coming to him... Because Tatsumi found it slightly hard to put "love" into words.

Watari: "...that love?"

Tatsumi: He thought about it... "Everyone has their own description and opinion of love... What I've just told you was mine, which comes from you."

Watari: "It.. it more than one thing? It.. different.. for everyone?" He scrunched his face up, confused.

Tatsumi: "Why don't you try telling me why you like me best, Yutaka." Tatsumi smiled, thinking this may be a way to rid his confusion. And there was the small hope that Watari might remember more as well.

Watari: The blond looked down... thinking hard. "I... 'cuz... it be 'cuz I like you... I.. I 'unno.. you... 'portant to me.." Stable, consistent. Even.. when.. when.......... bad things were said to him.. he still liked Tatsumi. "...it haaard!" He complained.

Tatsumi: Tatsumi gave him a sympathetic look, understanding what he meant. He laughed lightly, "I know. But keep trying." he encouraged, closing in the small gap of space between them, hugging Yutaka.

Watari: His heart started beating faster again. "I.. I no can think, you do that!" But he hugged the man anyways.

Tatsumi: "I'm trying to help you." Tatsumi said almost playfully, squeezing him tighter.

Watari: "Mmf." He almost pouted before nuzzling his face against the other. His face was all hot and tingly again.

Tatsumi: Tatsumi held him, glancing around the room. "Any other questions? And do you remember your room?"

Watari: "What funding?" He chirped suddenly.

Tatsumi: Tatsumi let out an uncharacteristic, "Huh?"

Watari: "What 'funding'?" He asked again.

Tatsumi: "A-ah..." Well, at least that was something, though Tatsumi found it to be a very odd thing to remember suddenly. (He wondered what had triggered that?) "Funding is when you provide money to pay off a debt."

Watari: "Mon-ey?"

Tatsumi: Oh dear. "It is a medium that we use..." Tatsumi reached into over into his pocket and recovered a coin, holding it out to Yutaka. "...in exchange for goods. Such as food and furniture for one."

Watari: He took it in his fingers, inspecting it closely from all angles. "Oh..... this tasty to eat?" He put it between his teeth.

Tatsumi: Tatsumi's eyes widened, lips twitching around clenched teeth, and he hurridly removed the coin from the blond's mouth, calling out, "Don't!!" He clenched his hand around the small coin, out of sight. "You might... choke..." It was amazing (and slightly embarrassing) at how firghtened he'd become in such a short amount of time.

Watari: Blink, blink. "Oh... kay. Taste yucky anyway." He had the grace to look a little sheepish. "I sorry..."

Tatsumi: He quickly placed the coin back into the saftey of his pocket. "It's not meant for eating, Yutaka.." Oh, wait... "And don't just put anything into your mouth, alright?"

Watari: "Okay!"

Tatsumi: "But... Does this mean that you are hungry now?" Tatsumi placed his palm against Watari's stomach.

Watari: "No.. ...I just think.. it look like.. a small cookie!" But his stomach gurgled very softly. "!!!"

Tatsumi: "Is that so?" Tatsumi asked softly, a small smile on his face as he tapped his fingers against that stomach.

Watari: He squirmed a little, smiling. "Yeeeeees..."

Tatsumi: A small pout. "So you wouldn't want a real cookie, hm?"

Watari: "M..maaaaaybe..." He felt like giggling, but he didn't know why.

Tatsumi: Now Tatsumi was hoping that there were even some blasted cookies in the house. Surely Yutaka's interest(and the fact that remembered what it was) was proof enough that there should be some somewhere. "Shall we go into the kitchen and get you one?"

Watari: "Yeah! Yeah! Cookie! Cookie!"

Tatsumi: A bright smile flashed over Tatsumi's face before they appeared in the kitchen, standing, Yutaka leaning against him securely. (The other needed to get the hang of standing.... and move on to walking.)

Watari: He was clinging to Tatsumi again. "Woah~! Speedy!" His feet tested the floor again.........there! He could stand! .....as long as he hung onto Tatsumi. "Cookie in there?" He pointed to a jar in the corner.

Tatsumi: Tatsumi couldn't be happier with the results he was getting right now. "We'll see." He walked slowly over to the jar on the counter, Watari securely supported at his side, the two taking one step slowly at a time. With a free hand, Tatsumi had indeed retrieved a small cookie from the jar.

Watari: "Coooookiiiiiiiiiiieeeeeee!" He stretched his hand out expectantly.

Tatsumi: "You were right." he said, proud, before he handed Watari the round snack. Tatsumi had an idea suddenly. Eating the cookie may make Watari realize just how hungry he is. That and Tatsumi would fix himself something, suspecting that the blond would be curious and want some as well.

Watari: "Yay!" <3 "I always right!" He smiled proudly and nibbled on his treat.

Tatsumi: Tatsumi smiled and tested those words. "Because you're a genius?"

Watari: Watari stared. "What...?" That word... it.. it triggered things... "'g-ge--n--genius...?"

Tatsumi: He nodded. "That's right. Are you a genius, Watari?" he asked, using the name purposely.

Watari: "N-no..." He shook his head. "I.. I not! I not!"

Tatsumi: His expression changed a little before he covered it back up with a smile. "Oh? You're not? Do you think it's a bad thing, Yutaka?" he asked curiously.

Watari: He didn't answer, he just tried to wriggle out of Tatsumi's grip. "Lemme go!"

Tatsumi: He blinked, loosening his hold a little, but not completely for fear the other might fall. "W-.. Why? What's wrong? Do you want to stand alone?"

Watari: He backed up, a hand reaching for the countertop. He stumbled backwards, succeding in breaking free from Tatsumi's loosened hold. It was like his legs were made of spaghettii, and he sunk lower with each step, finally ending up on his butt on the floor. "I not! I not! Nothing wrong! I... I.. you say.. you said nothing wrong with me!"

Tatsumi: Tatsumi came down to the floor as well, crouched infront of Yutaka, a little scared at what he'd just done. (What did he do? How could he...?) "There is nothing wrong with you, Yutaka." Tatsumi wanted to reach out to him... but he was scared Watari might push him away.

Watari: ".......Promise?" It was a little wary.

Tatsumi: "I promise." Tatsumi said gently, holding out a hand in front of him. "But... I want you to know that there is nothing wrong with you, Yutaka."

Watari: He refused to take it until things were cleared up. "And I not a genius?" His eyes were scared again, but seraching..

Tatsumi: Very hesitantly he answered, almost a whisper, ".....no."

Watari: "I not?"

Tatsumi: "You are not."

Watari: "......kay." Slowly, he reached his hand out to Tatsumi, sensing a lie perhaps, somewhere below his consciousness, but ignoring it.

Tatsumi: Tatsumi pulled Yutaka into his arms, where--in his opinion--the other man belonged, and burried his face in blond strands of hair. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to scare you."

Watari: The non-genius hugged him gently. "It okay..."

Tatsumi: No... No, it wasn't. Tatsumi didn't offer to move or anything as he continued to hold the other close.

Watari: "I okay now." After a pause he added, "Really.."

Tatsumi: But now... Why did he feel scared? That should be obvious... he countered his own thoughts. Because for a brief moment, he was scared. Scared of you. He might have run from you if he could've. And the thought of that frightened Tatsumi. He.. "Are you afraid of me, Yutaka? In any way?"

Watari: "No--! I not afraid! Not you..." Just of the things he'd seen in his head...at the mention of that word.

Tatsumi: A relieved smile. "Then please.... don't run from me. Especially if you're scared." Even if I'm the one that caused it.

Watari: He nodded after a moment. "'Kay...I sorry."

Tatsumi: Tatsumi lightly patted Watari's back. "So am I." But now he wanted to know why that had scared Yutaka so much. "Still... hungry?"

Watari: He thought about it... and then nodded. "Yeah!" (He'd dropped his cookie <///3)

Tatsumi: He nodded to himself and then stood up, alone, trying something different. He held his hand out to Yutaka, in case his help was wanted. "Why don't you try standing up by yourself?"

Watari: "A-alone?"

Tatsumi: "No, of course not. I'm right here.... and I won't let you fall." he said, leaning down a little lower.

Watari: He puzzled, for minute or two.. and then shifted his weight forward... to no great effect. "Wah!!!" He did it again, succeeding in scooching himself a few inches forward. "Urgh!"

Tatsumi: Then again, was this really a wise idea? Everyone had a little trouble getting up from such a position, it was why people would always offer a hand. Tatsumi watched the struggling Yutaka though, saw him thinking over the solution before he tried. "I'll help you if you like... But I think it would be good for you to try it on your own."

Watari: More thinking on the blond's end. He bent a leg, but then it flattened back down.

Tatsumi: "Maybe a little inspiration?" Tatsumi said, walking over to where he had retireved the first cookie and then returned with three. He held them closely in front of him, his hand still held out for Watari if he needed it.

Watari: "Cookie~!!!"He lunged forward ungainly, stumbling to his feet. He was caught in a run forward though....and low to the ground. "Ahhh----!!"

Tatsumi: Tatsumi's hand went out to try and catch Yutaka before he could fall completely, but he himself was already in the process of it. Tatsumi did his best to fall with gracefully(if there was such a thing), managing to keep those damn cookies in tact.

Watari: Well, now he was flat on his stomach, "Ouchies......um..... um.. you.. you okay??"

Tatsumi: "I'm fine..." he responded, looking to the ceiling. He sat up suddenly then, glancing over Yutaka. "And you?" (Tatsumi was begining to have a dislike towards these cookies.)

Watari: "I okay... I.. I sorry!" He appeared to be on the verge of tears. "I sorry! I no mean knock you down! I sorry!"

Tatsumi: "I know you didn't mean to." Tatsumi smiled, brushing the whole incident away and out of mind. He then offered the cookies in front of him to Yutaka.

Watari: "No I really, really, really sorry!" He crawled forward to grasp Tatsumi's hand. "Really sorry!"

Tatsumi: And he did what he thought would help dismiss the whole accident. Tatsumi brought Yutaka's hand to his lips and kissed it lightly and then gave him a cookie, placing it on his hand. "It's all right." he reassured the other again.

Watari: "..you... you sure?" He held on to the cookie reverently.

Tatsumi: "Do I need to kiss you again?" he smiled. "Yes, I'm sure."

Watari: He went beet red at that. "O-okay.."

Tatsumi: "Now," he shifted his feet under him, wrapping an arm around Yutaka and stood. "We'll try this some other time.... Right now, we both need to eat something." Because you really shouldn't be this easy to lift.

Watari: "'Kay..." Yutaka agreed, trusting him completely. It was amazing really... In his childish, puppy-dog state, he might have stayed with anyone... Even if they weren't as nice as Tatsumi. Watari was vulnerable and ignorant--not knowing just how impressionable or fragile he was. "What we gonna eat?"

Tatsumi: Again, Tatsumi tested the other's memories. "What would you like to eat? Besides cookies."

Watari: "Aaaauuuuhhhmm.....noodles??" Hee. It was a funny word! Nooooodles!

Tatsumi: He nodded, giving his approval as he walked them over to the table. "Sounds nice... what kind of noodles? What flavor?"

Watari: "I.. I dunno.. um........" Noodles came in kinds!? And flavors!? "J-jellybean flavored?" He wrinkled his nose, thinking. Did he even like those..?

Tatsumi: Tatsumi had pulled out a chair, leading Yutaka into the seat. The corner of his lips twisted into a frown at the other's suggestion. "I have yet to see that kind of noodle, Yutaka." he said lightly, keeping that warmth in his tone. "You know, it would probably be best to see what options we have." Tatsumi said, mainly to himself.

Watari: He nodded, after peering at this 'chair' doohickey. "Okay."

Tatsumi: Placing the remaining cookies in front of Yutaka, Tatsumi went over back to the counters to peek into cabnits. And all he found was noodles. Straight, semi-thick, dried noodles. The secretary walked back and forth around the kitchen, checking that the needed supplies he needed for a dish were all there.

Watari: Watari played with his cookies, making shapes, and objects, like cars or trains, before consuming them.

Tatsumi: Tatsumi returned to the table with a small plate holding several more cookies(the things were small) for Yutaka. Setting them down, he glanced at Watari... "Looks like we have only one option for us on noodles. How does spaghetti sound to you?" he asked, a hand resting on the blond's chair.

Watari: "Pisketti~! <3"

Tatsumi: "I shall take that as a yes." he smiled down at Yutaka before going back to preparing them a meal. (He was glad the other seemed so excited about eating now.)

Watari: Yutaka arranged his cookies into a circle. "No corners~!" And suddenly he started, enthusiastically, figuring out basic mathematic relashionships. "Oh~! Neat!" He'd figured out how to measure the length of a 'chord', though he didn't know the proper term.

Tatsumi: While cooking, such as waiting for things to sit/heat/cook/boil, Tatsumi would come over to the table and sit with Yutaka and talk. When all was done, though, he returned to the table with Yutaka's plate first, a large plate with(not too many) noodles that were covered with a nice thick spaghetti sauce and a piece of garlic bread on the side.

Watari: The man picked up the garlic bread, and (after looking at it thouroughly) poked the noodles with it.

Tatsumi: Seeing this, Tatsumi picked up a fork and had spinned some noodles onto it, doing it slowly so that Yutaka could maybe try next. He wrapped his other hand around Yutaka's, the one that held the bread, and made it so the bread was held out flat. "This might be easier for you..." Tatsumi said, as he slid the noodles off of the fork and onto the bread. "Carefully, try taking a bite."

Watari: "Oooh.." He did so, opening his mouth wide...... "Waaah~! Hot!!!"

Tatsumi: Damn. "I'm sorry," Tatsumi apologized, carefully leading Yutaka's hand to set the bread down. "You should probably let it sit and cool for a few minutes. Blowing on it gently can help, too." He... still needed to get them drinks... Tatsumi wondered if Watari had any straws anywhere.

Watari: He nodded, setting it down. Watching it intently.

Watari: "How I know when it ready?" He was staring at it, eye nearly level with his plate.

Tatsumi: Tatsumi was fixing his own plate. "You'll just have to see by taking a small bite."

Watari: Yutaka continued staring at it intently.

Tatsumi: When Tatsumi came back to the table setting his own plate down, he'd noticed Yutaka had yet to test taste his food. So, he bravely stole a bite of the others food, testing it's temperature. "I think it's fine now. Not hot, but still warm enough."

Watari: Nodding, Yutaka sagely took his fingers, and picked up a few noodles with it, holding it high above his head, before depositing them inelegantly in his mouth. "Maaaaaaah...[drop] ooh~! Yummy! <3"

Tatsumi: Tatsumi placed his palm on the other's head, "I should get more napkins..." he commented, walking back to the counters. He also still needed to bring their drinks.

Watari: "Mmm~! Hmmhmmhmmmmhmmmm---dooo doo dooo..." He hummed happily as he ate his spahgettii.. creating a mess.

Tatsumi: He returned to disaster and after setting down napkins and only one drink(for the two to share), he began to work on cleaning a little bit of the mess all while trying to direct Yutaka into using his fork. "It's much easier if you use the fork, Yutaka... Pick it up and place it straight into the noddles, then twirl it between your fingers... or just wait and let me show you again." Because he now saw how his explaination could lead to yet another messy disaster.

Watari: "I wait," He said happily, cupping his face in his hands, getting sauce handprints on his cheeks.

Tatsumi: And after seeing that, Tatsumi made the blond's hands his next target, taking each hand one at a time and cleaning it calmly. Then with a fresh napkin, he cleaned off Yutaka's face. "You're getting more sauce on you than in you." he said lightly, smiling.

Watari: He made a face and tried to pull away from that napkin then, "Nooooo..." he protested, "I not!"

Tatsumi: Tatsumi made a face as well, hurring and wiping away what he could. Or.... He stopped and held the napkin out in front of him. "Would you prefer to do it?"

Watari: "You do it!" Watari said, pushing it back at him.

Tatsumi: Shrugging, he did and then tossed the used napkin to the side. (Far to the side, out of reach for Yutaka.) "Now, let's try this again." Tatsumi said, picking up his fork.

Watari: "Kay 'kay!" Watari sat up and watched Tatsumi with as much intent as he had the plate earlier.

Tatsumi: Tatsumi slowly demonstrated how to use the fork with spahgettii....and brought up a bite of noodles to Yutaka's mouth. (It was his food, after all.)

Watari: "Ahhh!" He opened his mouth.

Tatsumi: He fed Yutaka the mouthful of noodles and retrieving his fork decided to finally try a bite of his own while the other was chewing.

Watari: The blonde chewed noisily, smacking his lips and slurping his noodles.

Tatsumi: And Tatsumi was very much hoping that Yutaka would follow his example this evening with table manners. (But if he didn't, that was fine...) "Why don't you try with your fork next?"

Watari: Another nod, "Mmkay." And he picked it up clumsily, weilding it inelagantly. "Wooah... ah...uh...like.. like this?" He burried it into the pile of pasta, as if he were spearing a wild boar.

Tatsumi: Tatsumi did his example again, along with Yutaka, but on his own plate. "That's right...." Those aren't my dishes, so... "And continue like this." he added, twirling the fork between his fingers.

Watari: He flipped it over, overspining his wrist, dropping the fork. "Gaah! It.... it fell!"

Tatsumi: He smiled, stopping his actions with his own fork, willing to wait on Yutaka. "That's fine. Just pick it back up and try again. This... is a little hard." he commented lastly, hoping it might stir something in the other. Watari did always like a challenge.

Watari: He poked the fork once before picking it up again. "HYAAH!" He twisted fiercely with both hands... flinging spaghettii halfway off his plate...spattering the lenses of his glasses with sauce.

Tatsumi: Tatsumi calmly put down his fork and leaned over to remove Watari's glasses... and remove a few noodles here and there on him and around him. "I think..." Tatsumi ran a finger over Yutaka's cheek, cleaning off a little sauce, "I should help you eat." He cleaned the sauce from his finger with his mouth.

Watari: Flip-flip! His tummy did that funny thing again, but he gave the man a small smile. "Um... please?"

Tatsumi: He smiled and nodded, going ahead and cleaning off Yutaka's glasses before the sauce from the noodles dried. Tatsumi looked through the lenses carefully, making sure that they were clear before he placed them back on Yutaka.

Watari: "I see again-!!" He'd been surprised by the fuzziness without them.

Tatsumi: Tatsumi fed Yutaka small bites of the spahgettii, taking a bite of his own after, keeping his mind focused on the fact that the blond ate enough.... and didn't make any more messes with his food.

Watari: About halfway through Yutaka turned his head to one side. "Fu---ull! No more... I done."

Tatsumi: He put the fork down, a sign that he was done eating as well. (He hadn't felt that hungry in the first place.) "Are you sure?" he asked anyway.

Watari: He bobbed his head up and down. "I sure."

Tatsumi: Tatsumi got up from the table, taking thier unfinished plates over to the counter where he then found a container to put the left overs in. He'd also decided not to clean the kitchen.... (What could Yutaka do to keep himself busy during that time?)

Watari: There was a startled cry from the table, and Yutaka was scooching back, almost tipping the chair over in his attempt to get away from it.

Tatsumi: "Yutaka??" Tatsumi was at his side within the second.

Watari: He twisted around and clutched at the man's jacket. "You.. you see it yes!?! You see? You see!!?"

Tatsumi: He was down at eye level with Yutaka now. See what?? "Tell me what it is you see, Yutaka." he said gently and calmly.

Watari: He pointed at the glass hysterically as he tried to hide his face against the elder Shinigami's body. "Was.. I was.. lookin' at the bubbles and.. and.. it.. an' it move!!"

Tatsumi: An arm was wrapped around the frightened Yutaka, showing him he was safe, while Tatsumi tapped the glass with his finger. "The glass moved?"

Watari: He nodded emphatically. "Uh--uh huh! And.. and I no touch it!"

Tatsumi: Ah. "Hm, well... I'll take it back over to the sink so that it won't scare you again." Tatsumi wasn't sure how to react to the situation...

Watari: Another silent nod.. and he watched it warily.

Tatsumi: He held the glass in his other hand, aware not to bring it too close to Watari. "But... I don't think you should be afraid of it. I highly doubt it would hurt you. It is your glass after all." he tried to offer.

Watari: He shrunk away from it a little, "But it.. it not supposed to move...."

Tatsumi: "What if that's not what it wants? What if it wants to move like you and I do? Freely."

Watari: Yutaka was silent at that....

Tatsumi: Tatsumi was suddenly addressing the glass. "You are not supposed to move, ever. You are to remain still forever." He turned to Yutaka then, hugging him tightly with his other arm, gently asking, "Is that right?"

Watari: "I.. I .... guess.." But now he was confused.. it.. wanted to move..? But.. it wasn't supposed to. They just... weren't! ".....It, it really move?"

Tatsumi: "Not right now, it isn't. But you said it moved and I belive you." Tatsumi set the glass back down on the table for a moment, watching it along with Yutaka. "Do you not want the glass to move, Yutaka?"

Watari: "I... I no know......... Why you.. why you.. b'lieve me?"

Tatsumi: "Because you like me best.... and you wouldn't lie to me," he smiled. And I have seen stranger things in your apartment.

Watari: "But.. that not.. ..what.. what.. if.... I wrong?" He turned away from the glass to look at 'Sumi. "I... seeing things?"

Tatsumi: "We each have something unique about us. A... sort of power." Did he say that right? "Everyone from "work" I mean..."

Watari: "I.. but.. I .. normal." It was a faint protest.

Tatsumi: "You are normal." He kissed Watari lightly. "Nothing is wrong with you. And nothing is wrong with the glass either. If it moves, it moves."

Watari: "That be..okay??" His mouth was slightly open. As if that thought had never occured to him

Tatsumi: "Yes." Tatsumi answered, hugging Yutaka to him tighter.

Watari: "...okay." And Yutaka hugged him back strongly.

Tatsumi: Tatsumi slowly pulled away from Yutaka and with the glace, went back over to the counter to finish up cleaning.... in a hurry.

Watari: Watari put his arms on the back of the chair and watched him quietly, silently observing. (He did that a lot now..)

Tatsumi: Tatsumi had saw him looking from over his shoulder and smiled, before turning off the running water. (He would just leave their dishes in the sink.) "Tired yet?"

Watari: ".. You tell me story?" He lifted his arms to show he wanted to stand up.

Tatsumi: "Really?" Tatsumi asked, showing a nervous smile as he lifted Yutaka up to his feet, supporting him as he stood.

Watari: "Yes please." He said, taking a moment to gather his footing. "A story.. 'bout me??"

Tatsumi: For some reason, Tatsumi felt very pleased at hearing the word, "please" and he nodded. "I would be happy to." he said, the two suddenly appearing back in Watari's bedroom.

Watari: "Yay!" <33

Tatsumi: "But before that, you need to change shirts..." Tatsumi could see a few stains from their dinner on the blond's top.

Watari: He looked down at his shirt. "Oh..." He looked up, "Jammies?"

Tatsumi: He smiled at that asking, "Do you know where your jammies are?"

Watari: "Ummmmm oh! There!" He pointed to his sock drawer.

Tatsumi: Tatsumi went over to the drawer, opened it and was proud to find the man's PJs. "Right again." he said, pulling out the pj top(only) and showing it to Yutaka.

Watari: "Blue!" He chirped, pointing out the color.

Tatsumi: It was then that Tatsumi realized... "Yutaka, you're standing up on your own." He smiled.

Watari: ........."!!!! I .. I stand!?" He looked down at his legs... bending over too far and landing lightly on his bum. "Ooff!"

Tatsumi: Tatsumi was leaning down in front of Yutaka now, still smiling. "You did. And it was wonderful." he complemented proudly. He began to remove Yutaka's coat, keeping a cautious eye out for any discomfort in the blond at his actions.

Watari: But there was none. Just a huge, huge smile (and a touch of pink) at the compliment.

Tatsumi: He removed Yutaka's glasses next, setting them beside him, before he removed the other's shirt... with difficulty since it was a blasted turtle neck.

Watari: "Brr.. shirt please! Cold!" Well.. not COLD cold, but .. chilly.

Tatsumi: Tatsumi quickly dressed Yutaka in his pj top, already buttoning up the front. "This is a nice top... where did you get it?"

Watari: "Store?" Maybe.. hadn't it always been in that drawer? "Dunno."

Tatsumi: The last button buttoned. "Are you still chilly?"

Watari: A shake of the head, "No.. but.. blankets be nice." Yutaka smiled winningly up at him, "Bed?"

Tatsumi: He smiled back and nodded, helping him up onto the bed...

Watari: "Hi beeed! <33" He greeted the mattress as he dropped himself on it.

Tatsumi: Tatsumi was pulling back the covers, as far as he could since Yutaka was on the mattress. He sorted the pillows up againt the head board and Tatsumi removed his tie, jacket, and vest, before climbing onto the bed as well.

Watari: Seeing this, Yutaka crawled over to him. (So dependant.. so devoted..) "Cuddle!!!" He seemed far too excited for one who was 'tired.'

Tatsumi: After slipping his feet under the covers and settling himself against the pillows, Tatsumi welcomed the other with open arms.

Watari: "Umf~! <3" He closed the distance between them by 'throwing' himself on the other. (Not much of a throw.. maybe a few centemeters.) He wound himself comfortably around the other. "Mm.. 'Sumi's so warm." There were silent 'yays' before and after that.

Tatsumi: "I have to be." he said, wrapping his arms comfortably around Yutaka. "You're always so chilly and I have to keep you warm."

Watari: "I always cold?"

Tatsumi: "That's what you would say." He quickly decided to avoid that subject, in case it didn't please Yutaka. "Or maybe that's just what you would say so that I would hold you." He teased, squeezing him lightly.

Watari: He squeezed back, "You tell me story 'bout me?" Really: tell me about myself, am I really always like this?

Tatsumi: Tatsumi was silent for a few minutes, trying to think of an appropriate story to tell.

Tatsumi: It probably wasn't the best story to tell, but it was the only one that he was thinking about at the moment. "You were in your lab one day... probably mixing chemicals or... sleeping. But I remember everything in the office just stopping, silent... before I heard a loud explosion. No doubt, from your lab. It wasn't unusual to hear these explosions coming from your direction, either, but this one... was unsettling."

Watari: Watari looked at him, mouth slightly open, "Big boom?"

Tatsumi: "Very." Tatsumi said, looking off in the distance. "I went to check on you(but back then I had told myself I was only checking the damages), and when I opened that door to your lab, a large cloud of dark blue smoke was ready to greet me. I called out to you and there was no answer." And that had frightened me, because you were usually either at that door to greet me with ash and burns all over you or.. you would at least reply.

Watari:
"Where I?" He tilted his head, "I go boom???"

Tatsumi: "That had been my current fear as I kept searching for you, calling out to you... and couldn't find you." I was almost screaming your name. "But then you suddenly appeared behind me, not a scratch on you.... Apparently, you had been in the break room during the explosion." I wanted to strangle your little neck right then and there.

Watari: Watari snickered at that. "Heee heee hee.. I smart like that!!"

Tatsumi: Tatsumi looked down at Yutaka with a smirk. "You nearly gave me a heart attack you little imp," he teased, lightly pinching the tip of Watari's nose.

Watari: "Kee" x3 Yutaka smiled, golden eyes bright, "What then? What happen then?"

Tatsumi: I was embarrassed of course... and you teased me. I scolded you for being so careless and made you clean it all up right away. "I can't really recall..."

Watari: "......You...you yell at me for loud boom noise.. and.. cut funding! Then cough cough at blue stuff." He grinned.

Tatsumi: A little nervous laugh before Tatsumi smiled warmly, hugging him close. "That's right. Do you remember anything else, Yutaka?" He kissed him, a sort of reward and comforting gesture that he did now.
Watari: ....."003!!! She.. she maaaaaad at meeeee!!!" He pouted. "She birdie.. right? With beeeeeeeg beeeeeg eyes..?"

Tatsumi: Tatsumi was laughing lightly now, just relieved.... and happy. This was such a big deal to him. "That's right!" He said enthusiastically. "And she'll only get mad because she's worried about you."

Watari: This time Watari placed a kiss on the other man--on the cheek--before laughing slightly. "She friend...yes? Owl??"

Tatsumi: "She's a very good friend." Tatsumi added, his proud eyes shining. "And you're right again, she is an owl. A very small owl, fit for your shoulder... or on your head."

Watari: "Cute!!" He snuggled more against the man, wriggling. "I.. I .. happy..." He wasn't even sure why right now...

Tatsumi: He was glad that the other man in his arms was remembering these important things. Glad he was happy. He could probably continue to tell more stories to help him, too. Tatsumi happily returned Yutaka's "snuggling"... "Good. I'm glad." he said quietly.

Watari: Yutaka yawned a little. "I likeyoubest..." He murmured softly.

Tatsumi: "I know." Tatsumi said just as softly, pulling a blanket over the both of them. He knew the chances were.... very slim, but he would like to think that maybe when they wake up in the morning... Watari will remember.

Watari: "Yew so nice t'me.." He breathed against the other's chest, followed by a light squeeze.

Tatsumi: He smiled, petting the others back.

Watari: "Nigh' nigh'..." He sighed happily, snuggling just a touch more.
Tatsumi: "Good night, Yutaka." Tatsumi said, looking down at the snuggling blond and a disturbing thought made him add, "Sweet dreams."

Watari: "Like cupcakes??"

Tatsumi: "...............if you like cupcakes, then yes."

Watari: "You better than cupcakes." He insisted, eyes still closed.

Tatsumi: "Then dream of me."

Watari: "I try."

Tatsumi: His hand that had been petting Yutaka's back was now in the other's hair.... stringing his fingers through the long strands, trying to comfort himself more than the other.

Watari: Yutaka made an almost purring noise in his throat, finding himself slowly.......slowly.....starting to fall....asleep. He wasn't there just yet...but nearly.

Tatsumi: Tatsumi had been wanting, waiting for this silence... (He thought that Yutaka was probably asleep by now.) But now that it was finally quiet, he didn't like where his thoughts went. So, he shut his eyes, too, hoping to fall asleep.

Watari: Sumi... he breathed without knowing it. And Yutaka fell into a deep slumber, listening to the beating of the shadow master's heart.

Tatsumi: Tatsumi soon followed, falling into a dark slumber, Yutaka held protectively in his arms.

Watari: At some point during the night, Watari started talking in his sleep. Watari. Not the childish voice of 'Yutaka.' Most of it was nonesense, but more of it was dreams.. memories--false and real. His subconscious was trying to sort everything out.

Tatsumi: Tatsumi never heard Watari... or maybe he thought it was just him dreaming... but often his hands would tighten around Yutaka, or he would run a palm over the blonde's back.
Watari: His voice cracked suddenly, and turned into a soft whine. His fingers tightened in protest.

Tatsumi: He felt the slight movement, and hugged the man to him even more, but other wise, did not wake up.

Watari: Yutaka woke with a gasp and started shaking. Oh.. he didn't like that dream... Not at all!! He hugged his... his savior firmly, wishing for that ..memory.. image.. whatever to go away.

Tatsumi: Tatsumi's eyes were still shut, but he was awake. The others distress finally waking him. "What's wrong?" he asked in a weak, sleepy voice.

Watari: Yutaka shook his head. Feelings washed over him. Feelings of embarresment.. of shame..guilt.. and hurt.

Tatsumi: He woke up more, looking at Yutaka now, worried. "Tell me... and I might be able to help." he said softly.

Watari: He spoke softly, into the other's shirt. "I.. I.. hurting you.. I no wanted to.. but.. no.. no could stop.. and.... and.."

Tatsumi: "That wasn't really you." he said simply.

Watari: "But.. I.. I want it .. wanted.. it stop.... but.. but.. some.. some part..f-feel.. good.. I no know why!!" He hugged the man tighter. "I no even know why.. I no know..."

Tatsumi: That he did not know how to answer. So he hugged him as much as he could, telling him in a soothing voice that it was all right.... That he was fine, and Yutaka hadn't hurt him.

Watari: "I.. I sorry.." He apologized quietly, over and over. "I.. I sorry.. I so, so sorry..."

Tatsumi: "Look at me, Yutaka." he called to him softly.

Watari: Slowly, the blond raised his head. Looking at Tatsumi. (Moonlight filtered in through the window, lighting the room fairly well, making things pale.)

Tatsumi: He took that moment to kiss above Watari's brow and when he'd pulled away, he was smiling warmly. "You did not hurt me, Yutaka." That much he knew.... It was... that demon.

Watari: He frowned, "I still sorry..."

Tatsumi: "I know... But it's over now, done with. Let's not look back on it." He said, cupping Yutaka's face.

Watari: "......" He looked down without meaning to.

Tatsumi: Tatsumi's hand slid beneath Yutaka's chin, forcing him to look up. "And keep your eyes ahead of you." he smiled.

Watari: Yutaka gave a fraction of a nod, and then attempted to smile.

Tatsumi: And then he said it again, "I love you." pulling Yutaka to him, so that his face lay on his chest.

Watari: "I... I.. l---li-like you too." Grip.

Tatsumi: "Try to go back to sleep, alright?"

Watari: "'Kay..."

Watari: 'I love you', he wanted to say.. but.. he couldn't, so he settled for kissing the man's chest once instead. Hoping he understood. (Even if Yutaka didn't.)

Tatsumi: Tatsumi did understand and he "accidently" fell back asleep right then....

Watari: The next morning, Yutaka had left the bed, leaving a heavily sleeping Tatsumi behind him. With the help of furniture, and crawling, he made his way to a window, where he could sit and look outside. Waiting..

Tatsumi: But the lack of warmth on top of him eventually woke Tatsumi, leaving him panicked when he did not see Yutaka anywhere in sight. He rose from the bed in a hurry, going through the apartment, calling for him, "Yutaka???"

Watari: A delighted shriek met his ears, as well as the sound of sudden flapping, "Birdies~!!!! <33333"
Tatsumi: The blond was in his sight now and Tatsumi was quickly at his side... not knowing if he should scold him(probably a bad idea) or... Yes, being happy that he was happy seeemed like the best answer. Tatsumi smiled at Yutaka, placing a hand on his shoulder and followed his gaze.

Watari: Yutaka leaned forward to open the window, "In, in! They want in!" Alas, it was only a couple pigeons flying by..

Tatsumi: "Those birds seem to be just passing by." he said. "But it's a good idea to leave the window open."

Watari: "Not my birds?" He seemed slightly put out.

Tatsumi: "No, not those..." Tatsumi attempted to cheer him. "Those are just neighbors." he said, refering to the pigeons.

Watari: "Oh.." He propped his elbows on the sill again, cupping his face in his hands with a small sigh.

Tatsumi: He decided to properly greet the other, giving him a small hug. "Good morning, Yutaka."

Watari: He smiled some, "G'mooooorning!!"

Tatsumi: "Are you hungry?"

Watari: "Noooo...." He stared out the window again. "When my birdies come?"

Tatsumi: He glanced back out the window as well. "I can't tell you... Would you like to see if they're back at your lab?"

Watari: A shake of the head. "Not yet... I wait.."

Tatsumi: "May I sit with you?"

Watari: A nod. "Yeah!"

Tatsumi: Tatsumi had a seat beside him, watching out the window with him.

Watari: Watari seemed content to sit, and watch the sky, using his imagination to fill it with all kinds of birds.

Tatsumi: "Can you tell me why you like birds, Yutaka?"

Watari: "They pretty." He said proudly.

Tatsumi: "Do you have a favorite?"

Watari: "I no.. think so.."

Tatsumi: "I do." Tatsumi smiled.

Watari: "Oh? What kind, what kind?" He turned his face to look at Tatsumi.

Tatsumi: "The humming bird."

Watari: "Why?" :333 Oh he remembered that bird! It's tiiiny. (And sorta cute)

Tatsumi: "It works very hard... and very quickly." He said, amused by Yutaka's expression.

Watari: That's just like you.. floated through his head, but Yutaka said instead, "They pretty. And they humm! Bzzzzzzzzzzz"

Tatsumi: "They do." Tatsumi said, chuckling. And it felt incredibly good to see him... taking interest in what he should.

Watari: He moved his hands to suggest wing motions, "Buzzzz--!"

Tatsumi: Tatsumi's eyes were their natural color this morning, all signs of stress gone. There was still a heavy sadness to them, but you would have to be looking into those blue depths for seconds before you caught it. And besides, he was ignoring that sting in his heart that wanted him to be depressed. All that mattered at the moment was Yutaka. That's all his heart needed to focus on. (Damn thing.)

Tatsumi: He placed his hand back on the blond's shoulder. "I'm going to go finish cleaning the kitchen..."

Watari: Yutaka squirmed in his seat happily. (He loved attention! <3) "Kay!" He smiled, "I wait here for my birdies!! You think they come??" He turned hopeful eyes on the man.

Tatsumi: Tatsumi turned to look out the window once more, squinting his eyes at the morning brightness. "I'm not sure.... They may not come directy in here, but they'll come. Hear them singing?" Of course he wasn't talking about the pigeons.

Watari: Yutaka tilted his head, "No... I no hear....." He leaned forward, out of the window. "HELLO BIRDIES!!!! HELLOOOOOOOO----!!! YOU KIN COME HOME NAOW!!!!"

Tatsumi: He offered a nervous smile, and being the protective man that he is, Tatsumi pulled Yutaka back away from the window some. "You mustn't pressure them. You have to let them come to you willingly."

Watari: "Oh???" He sat back, looking up at Tatsumi. "Why...? ....Don.. don' they like me?" His mouth threatened to go into a pout.

Tatsumi: He smiled at Yutaka. "The birds outside aren't as calm and trusting as the ones you've shared your home with."

Watari: "Oh.." He pouted. "Boo." His chin was resting in his hands again. But his sulk didn't last long. In moments he was singing... if it could be called that. More like.. chanting in a sing-songy voice, "Birdies, birds come.. fly away.. fly away.. fly fly fly fly.. birdies fly.. so can I.. fly in sky.. ap-ple pie.."

Tatsumi: Smiling to himself, Tatsumi rose up from his seat and went to the kitchen to take on the mess they had left on the table last night.

Watari: His 'singing' trailed off and Watari looked around the room. (He wasn't too good at walking yet..) He sat quietly for awhile--because it would probably please Tatsumi--but he sort of zoned out for a bit, just staring out the window. Eventually though, a dark spot appeared and he sat up. (...????) It got closer and closer and then there were three blobs. And suddenly, he was on his feet, nearly screaming with joy. "Keeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee~~~~!" WHUMP whumpwhumpflapflapflapflap. In a whirlwind of giggles and feathers, clicks, hoots, whistles, caws, flap, screeches and squwaks, Yutaka joyously turned and turned, assaulted by avian love. He turned one too many times--or his legs simply gave way, or his birds knocked him down, and he was on the floor, laughing (and crying a little.)

Tatsumi: Tatsumi was watching silently, not wanting his appearance to be known, as those damned birds finally came home. He was smiling, though(how could he not?), at the sight before him.

Watari: "My birds! My birds!" He cried happily again and again. It would be awhile before they settled down. "What..? No I.. Slow down please! I no understand you! Talky too fast!" How on earth the penguin flew in through the window, no one would ever know...

Tatsumi: Yutaka could hear them.... Was he startled by that? If he was, he didn't show it, Tatsumi thought.

Watari: "Waaaah s-sto-stooooop---! That.. that tickle!!" Another burst of laughter.

Tatsumi: He watched a little more before disappearing back into the kitchen, a fairly wide smile on his face.

Watari: After the birds had finally--finally settled down Watari sat up to listen to them, petting two of them, and nuzzling the other on his shoulder. "Uh huh... oh.. and what then...? Wow! Really...? Who that??? I.. I no remember that... Really? Huh.. Ooh! That sound fun!! Miss me? I.. I miss you!"

Tatsumi: There hadn't been that much to do in the kitchen and when he was finally tired of just standing around, Tatsumi calmly walked into the room, having a seat somewhere, smiling at the bundle of happiness on the floor.

Watari: "Wh-why you sad!?" He was dismayed at the smallest of his birds. "....zero.. three?" He queried hesitantly. She turned sad eyes on him, before looking down with a soft 'hoo'. "Wh-whyyy!? No.. I no.. I no hate you!" He pouted. "No be sad! Happy.. please??" There was a ripple of confusion through the birds now. On his shoulder, 003 shifted so that she could look at Tatsumi, the toucan swiveled his head and the penguin...well the penguin had kinda fallen asleep against Watari's lap..

Tatsumi: "Yutaka has been waiting very anxiously to see his birds again." Tatsumi addressed the birds(mainly 003) in a kind voice. (Tatsumi didn't know why, but he couldn't look into that little owl's eyes for too long before focusing back on Yutaka.)

Watari: "She... she wanna know why.... why I .. so strange." He said, turning his head and ooking up at Tatsumi. He frowned at the next part. "She.. think.. it her fault?"

Tatsumi: He kept his eyes on Yutaka. "It is no one's fault. The problem has been dealt with and as a result to that, the whole ordeal... Watari is having difficulty remembering a few things."

Watari: "Noooooooooooo!" He wailed out of nowhere. "Sumi!!! Make her stay! Please!" D': "She say she wanna go..."

Tatsumi: "Ask her why." Tatsumi said calmly. (And... the secretary was very well prepared to make that little owl go nowhere.)

Watari: "She say.. her faul'" He repeated, sniffling slightly, "She say, say..." there was an uncertain pause, "de--mon make her hurt me.... She.. she sad!" Another sniffle. She.. she no like me anymore!?! D:

Tatsumi: "She feels guilty for what happened to you." She should put that guilt aside and focus on helping you though.... "But surely she knows that if she left now, it would only hurt you more."

Watari: Yutaka was surprised to find that Tatsumi's words had little effect on the bird. (They always worked on him!!) Instinctively, he cupped the bird to him, "Don't leeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaavvvvvveeeeeeeeeee----!" He whined. "Me.. me want you to staaaay!!"

Tatsumi: Tatsumi took that moment to meet 003's wide eyes, a..... dangerous smirk on his face. He was challenging her, his eyes a heated blue. Do not make him cry.

Watari: But the bird seemed.. a little heartened at Watari's words. A questioning chirrup, "No leave." He said again firmly. "You stay!! Okay?? Okay!???" Another soft chirruping-whistle and the bird softly, hesitantly closed her beak around his earlobe.

Tatsumi: He let out a breath he'd been holding in. Tatsumi... really didn't like the idea of challenging a little bird.
