lol sorry, I guess the energy drink I'd been chugging at the time made my brain work.

Your brain never stops working, I think I could use some of that, mine needs a jump start, I think I'm quite near wide-eye'd drooling at this stage, and no, it has nothing to do with the partially naked Touda picture on my computer.

On topic:

If Hisoka's empathy is genetic do you think if he'd have lived he would have passed it onto he's children?

That is a question I didn't think about. Perhapse it would have gone on, but the gene for empathy seems to me to be a recessive one. Were it dominant, it would be running through his bloodline in multiple people already. I'm thinking about the box we learned about in biology. It's very basic compared to the boxes that show an entire human being... what's it called... geo something? Bio something? .... anyways, the basic form looks kind of like this.....

Let's say that the letter E is the symbol for empathy. The capital letter typically symbolizes the dominant gene. The lowercase letter would symbolize the recessive gene. To get Hisoka's empathy, the child would have to inherit it from both parents. Hisoka's symbol would have to be ee because the only way to get the recessive trait is to have only the recessive trait in his gene. EE or Ee would all have the dominant gene, or, not be empathic. so Hisoka would be the one fourth of the box that was recessive, the ee. For him to have children with empathic abilities, he would have to have a woman who also carried the gene. I'm not sure how many people there are out there with the empathic gene, but it's not likely he would find one. But if he found a woman who had a heterozaigus empathic gene, then he would have a 75% chance of having a child with the empathic ability.

... Oo did I just say that? Well, there are smart people out there. Please tell me if I explained this wrong. I think I was right around where I was supposed to be.

You know, I always did get confused with those square thingies.  I never seem to be able to do them right.

It would be interesting to see this topic actually discussed in YnM.  I love to see Yoko have Hisoka explore his empathy a little more.  Maybe it could be brought up in the arc about his family.

You might have to wait for a more intelligent reply, but from what I remember from secondary school education that looks accurate enough as well as insightful.

intelligent is in the eye of the beholder and the ear of the listener. But thank you for not laughing at me for trying to remember school from two years ago ^^;

I can't possibly if I'm doing the same thing. I think I might have a science book around here somewhere. I'll edit this if I find it.

Whenever I had to do the squares in biology in high school I never could get it right.  Somestimes I thought I finally understood it, but then my teacher would hand me back my assignments and most of them would be marked wrong.  I think they're interesting, as long as I don't have to do them!

You know you love Hisoka when you want to scientifically study him.

Okay I'm doing a new topic.

I'm seriously putting thought into it. But I'd need him here to do experiments on him... I have the feeling he'd hate my Watari side XD;;;;
