Columbine.

Virginia Tech.

SucessTech Academy.

endless bomb threats.

why do you think they happen?

should teachers have guns, to prevent such things from happening again?

One of my fomer students in Japan is a school teacher and he told me how he and the other teachers at his school carry long sticks so if a student has a weapon like a knife (guns are illegal in Japan, only the police and the yakuza have them), they can knock it out of the student's hands.

It's one thing to have a stick, but it's another thing to have guns. I don't think teachers toting around guns is the answer. What needs to be done is for guns to be banned from the US.

Maybe. Because honestly? I would be more afraid of a teacher snapping one day. I definitely wouldn't want one to be carrying a gun at that time.

(And now I find that slightly humorus.... ......Crap.)

"I TOLD Kelly to give me the cellphone! *twitch* She'd been texting for ten minutes straight... and then she had the guts to CALL someone during my class! *twitch/twitch* I TOLD the **** to give it to me! I told her! I warned her! *uber twitch*"

Sorry... >_>

Oo definitly agree with laustic. Think of all of the teachers who would use that against their students. And all of the teachers who get fired for molesting their students... just another reason for the kid to let it happen right? It puts fear into the heart so that if they don't do exactily as the teacher says they'll be shot. I would feel so bad forthe kid who was molested by a teacher with a gun >.<

I think the teachers should be able to carry long sticks. Not to use as punishment, but as a means of some sort of protection. If a student is carrying a gun, then a teacher can hide and wait for the student to approach then knock it out of their hands. It's a better and safer idea than holding a gun.

I agree. Long sticks works. The plan would work if the people weren't stupid. I don't trust the teachers... that's my only issue. I don't trust them as they are, much less with guns or sticks. People are born with selfish hearts and sometimes don't grow out of it. You never know who a person is on the inside, so even if you do a background check, then you're missing things. Gawd, if only the computers could be empaths >.<

I'm not sure if this is more a red moon forum topic but whatever.

Teachers.

Guns.

No.

I can't even begin to start where that is wrong. On another note:

I'm, very, very, very sorry, but I laughed very hard at that.

no reason to be sorry. I does seem amusing. I have a teacher that twitches when you make him angry. I don't wanna see what happens when it goes beyond twitching is all.
