"Kasahara..." Derek nearly whispered the name as he lay quietly beside Kazu in bed one night. "He's been gone for a very long time...I wish we could see him again..."

Kazu slowly reached his arm around Derek's waist, pulling the boy in closer to his body, skin on skin. "If you wish, we can go see him again"

Derek closed his eyes, nuzzling close. "I think he's still angry with you. I don't want you two to start fighting again."

Kazu gave a light sigh and leaned his head in, breathing in the scent of Derek's hair. "I'll do anything for you Derek, whether it be meeting with someone who hates me, or slaying a whole army, I'll do anything...."

Derek chuckled softly. "Okay. Tomorrow we'll get the ship ready and set sail. It will be nice to see Altessia again now that she's more in touch with her true form...She wrote me and said she's going to lay her first nest of eggs in the spring." Then he pulled the covers up closer around his neck. "I'm glad Winter is almost over." Then he smiled brightly at Kazu. "And I'm glad that your bed is warm."

Kazu smiled gently down at the boy infront of him. "My bed and arms are always warm and welcoming for you Derek...." Kazu held the boy close than slowly lossened up, bending down a bit and placing a kiss on the boy's forehead.

Derek chuckled softly and wrapped his free arm around Kazu's waist. "in the spring it'll be time to go back to the Crystal kingdom. Do you remember what spring is like there? with the flowers and the budding crystals in the trees?" His heart fell a little. "This will also be the first year without father. Do you think Ora is doing okay?"

Kazu gently smiled, placing a kiss on the boy's forehead again. "I'm sure Ora is doing perfectly fine, and I'll always be here for you, even though my love is much different from that of a Fathers...but we'll go and visit as soon as Spring hits"

Derek nodded with a heavy sigh. It was a rough year for him. He loved Kazu very much, but after his father had been killed by Ieidia he had no place left to go for a while. it was then that theyd worked out going between the two kingdoms each year. Ora was the ruler currently since Derek still had a few years before twenty one. "You took me in when I knew I couldn't go anywhere else. That counts. I'm glad to have you."
