|
|
Well, I was dodging fandom for a long while, but someone I've been actively talking to for the past three or four years has pulled me back in.
This fic was spawned by the idea of personal space invasion at one in the morning, and how Hisoka is the key holder of stocks in "PERSONAL SPACE NOW."
It is all her fault. I blame her exclusively.
Anyway, I have come to link you, because it: A) Connects you all to my new LJ, B) Connects you to the story via the LJ.
Anyway, on with the linkage:
title: in which personal space is divided and conquered (or how hisoka deals with the fact he's inevitably falling for someone or how tsuzuki breaks barriers with no particular coherency, but hisoka lets him because he's an idiot and he (might secretly like him a little bit) tolerate him more if he did or get out of my head, my dreams, and otherwise my system, please.)
series: Yami no Matsuei.
rating: PG-13 to R.
pairing: Tsuzuki and Hisoka. Roles switch, people.
word count: 3,224. (Fifteen parts.)
summary: Hisoka discovers that personal space is really very objective.
(He has only seen Tsuzuki's temper flare once before, and it is as frightening now as it was back then. (It bursts through him like a raw quick and the pale insides of arrows. It reverberates. And across the kitchen table, Tsuzuki's hands are balled into tight fists, his eyes almost black...) )

Really lovely story. The descriptions are so full and vivid and detailed, especially touch, the ghostly nature of touch, the lighting, like in the bathroom, and how you intermingle the senses, like sound and colour, it really brings the story to life, and you were very honest in your portrayal of Hisoka and Tsuzuki's nature and I loved how much Tsuzuki's reply to why he hadn't slept in he's bed in awhile carried so much weight, *sighs* that shimigami. _________________

*swings handcuff's around finger* I think we should chain Adrian to fanfiction *wicked smirk* to ensure she doesn't leave it again. _________________

Thank you. I mean, really. Thank you. I've been attempting to perfect a couple effects in my writing, and through my completion of my second novel (I think I neglected to mention it?), I was hoping it would come across, here. I think it might have, and for that I am really reassured. [:
Haha. Funny you mention that part. I think I gained the most amusement from writing that line than any other, because I can't imagine Tsuzuki responding any other way. Even in the face of something so serious. <3
Also, I'm glad the honesty seeped through. I try my hardest to submit something that feels realistic, and I rather pride myself in it. I like the nitty-gritty emotions. I like honest physical descriptions. (Like, when a person fights? Geez. I have so much fun with that on the sheer principle that I can make them ugly and beautiful at once.)

Thank you. Really. I'm boggling a bit, actually. [:
Hahaha. I always loved the idea of people smelling clothes just because it picked up the scent of another person. I mean, I picked it for the sheer reason that it was discreet, easy for him to do, and something that can be repeated too often (and thus be picked up on). Besides, I have fun twisting the cliche of smelling clothing around. Why not have him pick the scent on his own clothes, you know? The boy's perceptive. <3

Seconded.

Hur? Oh wow, Adrian! Yay! Knowing your entrapped and the futility of escape from fanfiction is strong for you, fills me with--with--with so much joy *weeps happily*.

Hahaha. Well, better a fangirl than a creepy guy-stalker. I find fangirls to be likable!

Hahhaa. Well, yes. Resistance is futile. It is a good sound board, and is excellent for practice. I use it whenever I'm not writing something original.

Whoops. Um. Well, this one was a continuation of the previous. I had been intending to write it for some time, now.
However, with the publication? I'll make a post on it later. I haven't gotten anywhere in physical publication just yet, but I've made some major connections. |

That does make a lot of sense, you can practice character development and fleash out techniques so that when you do get to your own writing, you're in top shape. And they say it's good to write as many different things as possible, even when you've got a project on?? Is that right? Anyway, yes, sound boards are good. You'll probably hear a lot of my squealing bouncing off yours in waves, in advance I ask for forgiveness.

Oooooh that sounds mysterious. Well I don't wanna push you. But if you're ever ready to share news. *holds ears out*
